The Moravian story is incredible. A band of ragtag Jesus followers in a small corner of Germany in the 18th century that ignited a global prayer and missionary movement and which influenced John Wesley, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and William Wilberforce among others.

He doesn’t mention “the Sifting Time,” which is a stain on Zinzendorf and the Moravian legacy, but nonetheless what a story! May God do it again!

I can’t believe I had never read about this story before. The Moravians were devoted to pure prayer and worship without ceasing. Their love for the Lamb of God and determination to preach Christ and Christ crucified has paved the way for so many missionaries. Definitely recommend reading about this story!
