I enjoyed it. The art style is pretty, making the story easy to read. The story is interesting. It kept me hooked. I think it's a good representation of a toxic relationship and a great example for traits of an abuser. The "sorry" after every physical abuse is very real. It's a loop and I hope that anyone who is stuck in an abusive relationship will be able to walk away safely.

!! SPOILERS OF VOLUME 2

I think people who didn't like this manga didn't put enough effort to pay attention to the dialogues.

The story makes you think we got to the good ending, where Nana and Sou finally get married (for real this time) and are expecting a baby. Until Nana meets the neighbor, who congratulates her and reveals that she knew all long that there were two men who pretended to be her husband 'cause they didn't seem to care to put on an act when they had casual conversation with her.
Then she says something very odd:"I actually preferred the other one, but who knows what's going on between men and women". When Sou appears she calls him Ryo, Nana corrects her, and the neighbor replies:"I'm sorry, I suppose I've fallen for the same trick." While looking visibly uncomfortable.

That's when you realize that the one who Nana killed was actually the real Sou (the nice one) and that the one who's pretending to be him is Ryo, the evil one. And this kinda makes sense.
If it was the good one all long, why would he feed his colleague the bento that was made for him? He could've just thrown it away. He could've had a conversation with Nana and explain everything instead of doing it last minute when she pressured him.
If he was the real Sou, there were so many things he could've done to clear up the misunderstanding since, he also claimed that his twin bullied him since they were little and wanted to get rid of his brother too.

These are some reasons he seemed very odd to me, and after the final plot twist, it made me think he wanted Nana to believe she could have the happy ending she wished for, and then take his revenge.

In my opinion, this manga was saved from the 2,8 review with this ending and how good everything that happened in the story connected with the finale.

I read the whole thing in a sitting, it's something that you find somewhere, you never heard about it, no one recommended it you, but you go on a whim and gets genuinely surprised.

Un bon premier tome qui met tout de suite dans l'ambiance et pose des bases rapidement. J'ai beaucoup aimé l'ambiance qui se dégage, entre le soulagement de Nana après la mort de Ryo, son questionnement concernant ce qu'elle va faire du corps puis la surprise et la l'incompréhension quand il se montre le lendemain comme si de rien n'était.
Le style de dessin est également très propice au genre de ce manga et j'ai trouvé qu'il accentué le côté parfois malaisant et glauque.

L'intrigue est finalement assez simple et linéaire. J'ai toutefois trouvé que ça se lisait bien, et c'était très sympa. Le format en deux tomes est un peu court pour réellement s'attacher aux personnages, néanmoins j'ai eu l'impression de plonger facilement dans les pensées et le quotidien de Nana et je l'ai plutôt bien apprécié.
Cela dit, un twist me paraît incontournable pour ce manga (mais je serais agréablement surprise de me tromper) et, s'il est bien présent dans le T2, je crois que ça va le refroidir, haha. Mais peut-être que l'explication à ce twist peut valoir le coup. À voir, donc.
En tout cas, c'est pour moi un début prometteur pour cette duologie.
N'ayant pas l'autre tome sous la main, ça sera certainement pour plus tard, en espérant que la suite sera à la hauteur de ce premier tome.

On est de suite plongé dans l'environnement violent de Nana qui est victime de violences conjugales, ce qui explique son acte.

C'est mon premier manga de ces auteurs et j'ai juste adoré découvrir les dessins et l'histoire. J'avoue je l'ai choisi juste pour le titre qui m'a fortement intrigué. Et il s'est révélé que le titre est très annonciateur de l'histoire.

L'ambiance est très pesante et intrigante. On ressent bien à travers les planches les angoisses de Nana après le meurtre ainsi que tout ces doutes sur si elle a tué la bonne personne. J'ai vraiment pu ressentir le malaise tout au long des 2 tomes.

Et la fin était assez inattendue et j'étais très contente de pas deviner la fin pour une fois!

J'en suis venue à me poser la question suivante : dans les cas de violences conjugales le meurtre peut-il être justifié voir même excusé?

En tout cas une superbe découverte de manga polar de mon côté!

Translation: My Husband is Sleeping in the Freezer

The title says it all. A tortured wife finally decides to kill her toxic abusive husband because she can't stand one more day of anguishing torment. Killing her husband and stuffing him into the freezer is liberating at first, but he shows up at the house the very next day completely unscathed. Something seems different about him. Whether the wife is suffering some maddening hallucination or the husband is back from the grave for elaborate revenge is a mystery.

The premise of this story is pretty cool. I really felt for the wife's pain and couldn't blame her for being driven mentally and emotionally insane. Some of the big plots twists are a bit hamfisted and overly complicated, but it's delivered in a way that keeps things fun, chaotic and exciting. The truth about the husband is crazy.

le manga et très bien sur le début (surtout le t1) on y voit enfin dans un manga une femme battue et qui décide de tuer son mari.
Le manga est très intrigant car est-elle en train de sombrer dans la folie due à la culpabilité ? Son mari est til vraiment mort . Malheureusement nous passons par la sensation de douche congelée l'or de la révélation de ce qui est la vraie situation.
Bien dommage car au début on était parti pour qu'il soit classé en giga coup de cœur et au final bah c'est quand même un flop.

J'ai beaucoup aimé mais je reste sceptique à la fin de ce premier tome : la série se termine en deux tomes et, pour l'instant, aucune réponse/explication n'est apportée. Je doute un peu de la capacité à conclure l'histoire avec un seul volume supplémentaire.

El primer capítulo es espeluznante y a lo largo de la historia no dejas de pensar en que está pasando, en que es verdad y qué no, entrando en una constante paranoia junto con la protagonista. La atmósfera está bien lograda y la intriga en ningún momento desaparece.
