Perfect summer reading for fans of Jessica Redland, Holly Martin and Sue Moorcroft.
It’s summer in Heritage Cove, the picturesque village by the sea. Join some of your favourite characters and welcome new faces in this uplifting, romantic read brimming with character, community and friendship…
The Heritage Bakery is finally getting the makeover it deserves, with sisters Jade and Celeste modernising the place and putting their own stamp on it while retaining all the charm of days gone by. But Jade has far more planned than a brand-new kitchen and fancy cake designs. She’s ready for an even bigger change in her life. It’s almost time to take the next step and she knows just what to do to make that happen.
Etna owns the village tea rooms and when she hears that local man Harvey is looking for a labourer to help him renovate the bakery after being let down at the last minute, she suggests to her nephew Linc that it may just be the change he needs to get his head straight. Linc arrives in the Cove willing to give it a go and he works hard, but what he hadn’t envisaged was anything bordering on a romance - not with his track record or what he’s involved in right now.
When a tall, dark, handsome stranger appears in the village and turns Jade’s world upside down, will it be enough to make her abandon her plan before she even sets the wheels in motion? And has Linc missed his chance to tell her how he really feels?
It’s almost time for the wedding of the year for one of the village favourites and the annual Wedding Dress Ball. But when the sun begins to set, will anyone else be lucky in love?

I really enjoyed returning to the Cove again in this latest book set in the village and loved meeting new characters and the now familiar locals in this lovely summer romance.
A huge thank you to Helen for asking me to read and review her new book which will be out 6th May! ‘Summer Serendipity at the Twist and Turn Bakery’ is the third book in the Heritage Cove series but this can easily be read as a standalone too.
It was so lovely to be back in Heritage Cove for the Summer! I have really loved the series and this one didn’t disappoint either. Summing this up in a few words this was a superb Summer romance!
After reading snippets of the sisters Jade and Celeste from the last two books it’s really nice that they have their own story to tell. I warmed to them both, especially Jade who the story is mainly focused on. Big changes are coming for Jade and Celeste, the bakery is under a makeover and on top of that Jade has some big decisions of her own to make, not helping is a certain someone suddenly appearing in the Cove making her heart beat just that little bit faster!
Helen creates such relatable and genuine characters that you can’t not like. I also appreciate Helen’s creative skills when it comes to leading male characters! Linc is a dreamboat, bloody gorgeous with a heart of gold. Linc being a newbie fitted into Cove life and literally saved the day but would he stick around? Loved that he had a few secrets of his own and I truly couldn’t figure them out until it suddenly dawned on me and it just made me love him more!
Helen’s writing is a pleasure to read, her detailed descriptions create this wonderful place with a buzzing and warm community it’s pure escapism. Chapter switching is one of my absolute faves so be happy to know you get to be in a selected couple of minds throughout the book! Am I the only nosey parker round here?
Such an enjoyable read, I’m just hoping it won’t be my last stay in Heritage Cove!!
I would like to say a very big thank you to the author for very kindly forwarding me a copy of this book, for my kindle, in return for an honest review. This is book number three from the Heritage Cove series and it was wonderful getting involved in the local community - I really did feel like I was a part of it all!! This was a wonderful story that the author wrote really well and I loved how lovely and heartwarming it was. I loved all the characters in this Summer romance and the way their stories all unfolded. I highly recommend this book and I definitely can’t wait until the next one!!
Jade is excited about the renovation of the bakery she owns with her sister in Heritage Cove. But when she's woken up early on her one day off, she's fuming.....until the finds out who it is making all the noise - a hot newbie to the village! Linc has come to the Cove to help Harvey with the renovation; taking a much needed break away from his life as suggested by his Auntie Etna, the owner of the tea room next door. Both Jade and Linc have had things happen to them in the past that they're still dealing with, and neither of them expect to start developing feelings for the other. But Jade has plans for her life; plans that she's had for a while and she's determined to stick with them....which means no romance can happen. And when someone familiar turns up to the village, Jade is confused and has even more to consider. Who is the stranger? What will Jade decide to do? Will Linc ever be able to tell Jade how he feels? You'll have to read to find out...... I absolutely loved being back in the Cove. Having previously read book 2 in the Heritage Cove series, I was excited to be back and see what some of my favourite characters were getting up to. Plus it's wedding time!! I absolutely loved getting to know Jade and Celeste better, and completely adored Linc. Every girl will want a man like him!! I also loved getting to spend more time with Etna, who is a legend! The characters are all fantastic - they're all so individual and you can't help but love them all. Even when the person shows up and confuses Jade, my feelings were torn even though I felt I should be being loyal to someone else....... The setting is fantastic. Heritage Cove sounds like the absolute dream. A small village with a wonderful community where everyone knows and supports each other. It is so self sufficient and has the most idyllic little local businesses, plus a beautiful cove and beach. With this taking place in the summer, you will definitely get full on summer vibes. This is the perfect read for sitting in your garden in the sunshine or by a pool with a cold drink in hand (hopefully not too long before we can do that again!). The storyline is wonderful. It's such a feel good, warm happy and brilliant read. There are some unexpected aspects to it and I absolutely loved how it all came together. Serendipity is the perfect word for it. The authors writing style is such a joy to experience. It's easy, fun and enjoyable to read and will completely suck you in to the delightful storyline. So as you can tell, I am a big fan of this book and of Helen J Rolfe. I can't wait for the next book in the Heritage Cove series to see what all my favourites are getting up to again! Saying that though, this can absolutely be read as a standalone. You're introduced to the characters and so won't feel confused - however, I would still recommend them, even after you've read this because you will love them all! So, if you're looking for a feel good read that will make you smile, keep you reading, give you a setting to die for and characters you will fall in love with....then this is for you. Highly recommended by me!
I really loved this book. I fully intended to save it for the long bank holiday weekend, to be enjoyed leisurely over a few days, but I ended up devouring it all in just two sittings. Summer Serendipity at the Twist and Turn Bakery is the latest novel in the delightful Heritage Cove series, a place where you know you’ve become a local when you start referring to the seaside own as simply ‘the cove’. However, even if you haven't read any of the books in this series before, you can jump straight in with this one and not feel like you need to catch up - although I'm sure you'll want to read all of the other books anyway!
By the time I was four chapters in, I already felt like one of those locals and I could picture the bakery, the tearooms, the waffle shack, the local pub and even the beach itself as if I was there amongst the action. The characters felt like old friends too, even those who were new to this latest book, including the handsome Linc, who arrives in the cove and almost immediately begins to feel as if he could stay forever, despite getting off on the wrong foot with local business owner, Jade.
Jade and her sister, Celeste, run the Twist and Turn Bakery, using all the knowledge they’ve gained from a year spent travelling to create and sell the most amazing baked goods – I just wish I could have reached out and grabbed one of those mid-chapter! Jade is happy to be home in the cove, doing the job she loves, but she’s left a big part of her heart back in Italy. Jade is the sort of girl who doesn’t wait for life to happen to her, though, and she’s on the brink of making a huge decision and taking her whole future into her own hands. Linc has been through some things over the last couple of years, too, which have changed his outlook on life and he embarks on a mission that he knows for a fact not everyone will understand, or approve of.
I don’t want to say too much more or I’d risk giving away the plot, but as well as Jade and Linc’s stories, which are central to the novel, there are lots of lovely secondary characters to engage with and I can only hope there will be more in this series. I’ll just have to learn to ration my reading a bit next time and make it last a bit longer!
What a treat it was to come back to Heritage Cove and catch up with all the locals once again. It is such a fabulous community and the author really captures the sense of belonging and offers such a warm welcome.
This is the 3rd book in the series and I have read them all and loved them. You could read each one as a stand-alone, as they do work well but in my opinion, you would be missing out on some fabulous stories about the unique residents and the bonds they have.
This store starts, as the title suggests, at the bakery run by my sisters Jade and Celeste. The story focuses on Jade and the intro doesn't leave her in the best of moods. Hoping for a lie-in, she is rudely disturbed by a lot of noise. The refurb has started earlier in the day than she had arranged. Armed with a hangover she confronts the rude intruder.
Well, I have to say I would have been very much the same as Jade, I am not a morning person but I may make an exception if I was met by the gorgeous Linc! He is the nephew of Etna, the owner of the Tea shop. He is just odd-jobbing trying to work out if or where he is going to settle.
One thing you learn is how welcoming the Cove is, especially when there is a family link (or Linc!!!) Plans for the refurb of the bakery, alterations to the Waffle Shack, other odd jobs and offers of various kinds have been woven into this gorgeous story.
The author has once again created such a wonderful story but one where there is a secret or two that is lurking waiting to be told. These secrets mixed in with the goings-on in the cove, a wedding, the odd night at the pub with the regulars and of course the scrumptious mentions of food give the reader a whole lot to enjoy.
A gorgeous, family and community centred story that was an absolute joy to read. It had me grinning like a loon several times. A heartwarming and wonderful story that fans of this author will adore. One for readers of contemporary fiction and romance, and one I would definitely recommend.
Thank you Helen for sending me an ARC copy to read and review I last visited Heritage Cove in November so it was nice to return.
I love books set in food places so know I would like this book, but the only bad point is that all the food descriptions made me hungry😂
I loved the story about the two sisters renovating the bakery and learning all about their past travels around Europe!
The meet cute between Linc & Jade was quite amusing and I even caught myself smiling at a few parts in the story - mainly the part where Linc ate the sample wedding cake due to be showed to the couple😂
I liked how it was just a normal light kinda reads and the characters actually had some previous problems. A few of the characters have a few pregnancy related issues which they actually discuss!
Overall, this book is a lovely read and an excellent addition to the Heritage Cove series.
Also swipe this way👉🏻 to see the book synopsis if it’s your kinda read. It’s also on kindle unlimited so what’s not to love!
This story was well organized and I liked all the characters. The two main characters, Jade and Linc, seemed to be drawn to each other right from the start. What I really liked is that they both took the time to get to know one and other before jumping into the more serious activities. The other enjoyable portion of this book is the neighbors of The Cove treated each other as close friends, helping each other when needed. Yes, it it a somewhat light summer romance, but presented in a very enjoyable format.
I loved being back in Heritage Cove. This time it’s summer and we follow the story of sisters Jade and Celeste and their bakery. The bakery is undergoing refurbishment and builder Harvey has enlisted the help of Etna’s nephew Linc to help with the work. Always a romance – this time Linc and jade looked destined to be a couple – but as usual there’s a couple of issues which try to get in the way. It’s also the wedding of lovable Barney and Lois during the wedding dress ball. Great story and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
With thanks to Helen for yet again another outstandingly fabulous insight to life in heritage Cove, just total loved the renovations at the twisted turn bakery with jade and celestial and new guy Linc who is working for Harvey this episode was absolutely fabtastic Helen has a way of drawing you in from the beginning can't praise this book enough and highly recommend
This lighthearted romance is a perfect beach read, or really, for any time you want to capture the summery fun feeling. Jade and her sister are giving the bakery an updated makeover. The local handy man needs a helper, and so enters a handsome stranger. But he won’t be a stranger for long. Jade and Linc weren’t looking for romance, but it found them anyway. This entertaining tale is well written and peopled with delightful characters.
This book is long over-due and I’m glad I finished it, though I have to be honest, there are some chapters that I have to skip since I think it’s not really relevant in the progress of the relationship, and mind you the significant progress happened at page 127(?)
Nevertheless, I’d still recommended this as a feel-good-cottagecore-book.
While I enjoyed the book, I find I have to grit my teeth at the exceedingly poor job of editing Kindle books. Every time I read "Me and ___________ did such and such," I want to scream! Basic English says "I" is the subject; me is the object and one should always use the other person's name first. Kindle needs to hire some much better editors!
Loved the story and will miss being part of the Cove with its wonderfully familiar characters. A lovely summer read set in a friendly village by the sea. Familiar faces are throughout the book and series. I just hope there’s a book 4!?!
I have enjoyed the Heritage Cove series, but I really want more. There are so many more people in the village I’d like to know more about. Will they all find love. There is a lot of singletons left.
Another great read from Helen Rolfe! I enjoyed every turn of the page, such a delight. I loved following the characters through their daily lives but also knowing some of their past too. Heritage Cove is such a stunning setting for this series of books.
Another great read in this lovely series. Jade is one of the sisters who own the local bakery. Linc is Etna's nephew, in town to help Harvey with a refurb of the bakery. Their first meeting is inauspicious.
It's a very cute book. I bought it as i liked the cover aha. But it was such a sweet book and was an easy read if you don't want anything too heavy and try to beat your ready challenge 😅. Would definitely read more from Helen Rolfe 🩷
The third book in the Heritage Cove series is just as good as the first two. The sisters have their bakery renovated with a new character helping with the work. The characters from the first books are all involved. A great book.
I loved this book, couldn't put it down. The story of Jade and Linc was really well done. I love the way the underlying topic was dealt with. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
Loved my 3rd visit to the Cove and catching up with the locals. The bakery’s fare had me craving bread and cake, a lovely story with a few twists and turns for Jade. A sweet treat of a book ❤️
