Was meh until the end when Akabara has a surprise for everyone

I suspect, by the time you get to this point in the series, there won't be any poor ratings because those who dislike it will have given up before now.
Still, this volume finally starts putting into place the true events and motivations of the characters who brought about the downfall of King Strauss and does it well.
It takes a generous reader to get this far, but they will be rewarded for their dedication.

Overpowered vampire just got more overpowered.
All the flashbacks and flash-forwards just got really complicated. I mean, there were a lot of them. It just got confusing and jarring.
I give this series one more book. If I still feel like reading it is a slog, I'll quit there.

Love the art in this manga and its such an intricate storyline that it keeps you hooked.
