À la suite de l’hospitalisation de sa mère, la petite Yuzu doit habiter avec son oncle qui tient une clinique vétérinaire... Seul problème : la jeune fille n’est pas très à l’aise avec les animaux ! Yuzu s’habitue cependant petit à petit à son nouveau rôle d’assistante et fait de nombreuses rencontres. Cette fois-ci, c’est un duo admirable qui pousse la porte de la clinique : la jeune malvoyante, mademoiselle Hinako, et son chien guide Luke ! Mais le fidèle compagnon à quatre pattes présente d’étranges blessures…

Auch vom 2. Band der Reihe bin ich begeistert.
Die Geschichten sind sehr schön gestaltet und machen auf vieles aufmerksam. Dies auf eine einfache und direkt Weise.
Vor allem die Geschichte um das ausgesetzte Kätzchen finde ich mega wichtig! Auf eine sehr direkte und einfache Weise zeigt die Künstlerin auf, dass Haustiere nicht nur zum Streicheln da sind.
Daneben sind die Zeichnungen sehr gelungen und ich mag diese Reihe auch deshalb sehr.
Ist sehr zu empfehlen 😊

Man, this comic has a ton of animal-abuse talk. I really like that it pares down the seriousness for kids and man, it's heavy for adults, too!

Yuzu is continuing to help her Uncle at his vet clinic. In this collection of stories a guide dog who is mistreated by mean people (not the owner) comes in, another girl from school comes in with her dog who has all sorts of mysterious ailments, Yuzu and another girl at school have to learn how to take care of and understand the rabbits, and a scrawny little kitten needs a forever home.

These are cute little stories that feature real issues pets can experience. It's educational for animal lovers in making them more animal smart, and it's cute. Definitely recommended for animal lovers and those looking for kid-friendly manga.

Notes on content: No language issues or sexual content. The guide dog story brings awareness to how people really do abuse these well trained dogs because they won't react even when severely hurt. The one in this book has cigarette burns (not gory or anything). No animals die in this book.

Pretty much all of the reviews for this series is going to be the same sort of statements.

1. It was good.
2. This makes me cry/tear up!
3. I learn a lot.

With this volume, we see a service dog, rabbits, pet adoption, and when a dog feels like their family drifting apart. The one thing that I wish this series does is have more continuity, meaning we see some previous characters making regular appearances. The only two characters that appear regularly is Yuzu (of course) and her Uncle with some minor appearances from her Mom.

Verdict: This is a cute upper elementary/lower middle school manga!

Yuzu the Pet Vet 2

Yuzu is scared of animals but has been learning how to take care of them with her uncle the vet. In this volume she handles caring for Rabbits at her school, an abandoned cat needing lots of care for recovery, service dogs and how they can be abused, and finally a family dog acting out to bring a family back to together. Not a light hearted series to say the least, but all real world issues so kudos for that.

Still not sure how I feel about this series as it keeps making me cry. Giving it another volume and if I keep crying I am calling it quits.

For some reason I'm compelled to call this Yuzu The Pet Detective.
This is a great manga for anyone who loves animals. Aimed at kids but very heartfelt stories that anyone can enjoy.
This one deals with animal abuse, overcoming fear of animals, adoption and am awesome Corgi that saves a family. ^_^

Un 2ème Tome dans la lignée du 1er. On prend les mêmes ingrédients et on recommence... et ça marche ! C'est toujours aussi choupy, les dessins sont mignons et les histoires très intéressantes avec des thèmes de plus en plus importants je trouve. On aborde notamment le fait qu'un animal demande qu'on s'en occupe et que c'est une responsabilité. A mettre entre les mains de tous les enfants pour leur expliquer des choses passionnantes sur les animaux de façon très agréable. J'ai beaucoup aimé !

J'ai adoré ce tome 2 que j'ai trouvé plus approfondi, plus humain et plus tourné sur la documentation concernant les animaux.
Personnellement, j'y ai appris des choses.
