Searching for Grams . . .
With Grams being kidnapped, everyone is worried and trying to get her back! How did someone get the past the wards? Artemis has wrapped herself up in her own secrets, plans, and priorities so she offers them no help and tries to turn all the attention to her needs rather than look for Grams. The action never stops, but are they making progress in finding Grams?

This is book thirteen of the Midlife Witchery and the Backside of Forty (BOF) witches, Fiona, Aislinn and Violet, and their mates are facing another huge problem as they awaken and Grams (Isidora Shakleton) is found to be missing from the heavily warded Pymm’s Pondside. The only clue is a Greek drachma as used by the Gods and Goddesses, found near the edge of the wards. All of their mates Bas (Sebastian), Argies and Thanos are there to support them, with Aislinn and Argies about to travel to his home with their daughter Kalli (Kalliope) for a break, but having to put that on hold to help search for Grams. They visit their Goddess Artemis, who isn’t happy to have an unannounced visit from the trio, thankfully with baby Kalli who seems to temper Artemis’ anger. They ask her to read the coin and see if there were any clues as to which god or goddess might have used it, but they are warned not to place blame on any of them as it will be really dangerous for them. Artemis soon has another task for them to follow, but none of the BOF are happy to do that when they still haven’t found Grams, nor any hint of who might have them.
As usual, the trio find themselves being attacked by demigods this time and in danger at every turn. They call for extra help from their Pleiades, but Phoebe has to stick around her familiar Tarja, who is due to give birth shortly and her kittens are in danger from tainted witches. She puts them in contact with the Pleiades from Italy, Luciana, who agrees to come and help them. A vision soon shows them that the case of Grams being missing and the case Artemis wants them to set as a priority, to find the key to the Fountain of Youth, are indeed connected and they must find the fountain in order to save Grams! To locate the fountain they need to access the Library of All Knowledge, some place only Pleiades have ever had access to before, but nothing is ever straightforward. It will take all of them and more, to gain a hint of where the fountain may have been hidden and save it from whoever has taken Grams and wants to use it for some nefarious reason. Touches of romance and protectiveness from all of their mates is nice to see, even if at times they wish the BOF wouldn’t be placing themselves into danger all the time. Danger seems to follow them everywhere, but they will always fight to help others and keep objects of power from evil hands. A cliffhanger of an ending as they face unknown creatures protecting the very place they seek to reach. Lots of magic and great atmosphere for the characters to fight their way through. Have to wait for the next book to see what happens after the cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see what’s next. We return to the antics of the Backside of 40- Violet, Aislinn, & Fiona are once again on the Hunt to find an Object of Power for the Goddess Artemis. However, Grams is missing- she has been kidnapped! So they turn to Artemis for help and find out about the OoP. Thank goodness the Goddess loves little Kalliope or she might have smited BoFs for being themselves and disregarding what the Goddess wants done right away. Everything is connected and we still don’t know why Grams was taken by the end of the book. The entire cast of characters that we have grown to love, are extremely upset in this book. We get to see a few new creatures in the book and there are a few other reveals that were cool. I really enjoyed the book and can’t wait for the BoFs to kick some major… out of the person or people who was behind Grams’ disappearance.
Pymm’s Pondside’s wards are extremely powerful and yet someone grabbed Grams. They had to call in one of the most powerful witches on the planet to help. That was fun to see more about the other Pleiades. I think that the BoFs should start carrying more healing potions on them as well as protection ones, as they keep getting into really bad fights and get injured. Even becoming huntresses for Artemis and being demigods might not save them if they have to wait for a healer all of the time!
I can’t wait for the next book. As well as the other books set in the world. They are too much fun to read.

OMG! Grams has been witchnapped right off of Pymm's Pondside property. With no wards breached, it is apparent that a powerful being was involved. The Backside of Forty immediately heads to Artemis to get some answers as to which god would want to swipe Fiona's grandmother, but the goddess says she can't interfere. Say, what? So now what do they do? A scrying session only serves to get a god mad at them, so they head to London to ask questions. A trip to the magical market almost gets them killed by demigods and no information on Grams (though Aislinn does find some nice clothes). A call to Phoebe scores them a European Pleiades to assist them and Luciana jumps right in to help. The powerful witch can get them into places they couldn't go without her but Artemis picks this time to send them off to find the Fountain of Youth, insisting they will find Grams at the same time.
Lots and lots going on. We won't find out the full story until the next book. Yep, cliffhanger. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Another awesome episode in the Bof40 gang! Grams has disappeared and everyone is feeling the loss. #1 find Grams, #2 fin the an Object of Power for Artemis and #3 Aislinn and Argie go visit Eidothea. The couples reconnect with each other and they meet the European Pleiades, Luciana. I love how these guys and Phoebe's gang interact!! This time they're jetting to the "library" a magical place that starts their adventure, bad juju follows them into the library and they're off again, this time headed to Spain and the to the mountains. Lots of adventure and trials in this episode! Trials and tribulations are at every corne they turn! Interested to see what the warlock has to do with anything n how Grams ties into it. The story does end on a cliffhanger... soooo looking forward to the next episode!

Wow just WOW! Another great addition to the Midlife Witchery series.
WTH! Who took Grams??? Fionna, Aislinn, and Violet have no clue on how someone got passed the wards at Pymm's Pondside....but thinking that they have Artemis to rely on for help they go to visit her. Well, little did they know they were going to be shocked that Artemis wants them to concentrate on a certain Object of Power before finding Gram's. Say what??? Fiona is furious when Artemis won't help and wants the huntresses to find the artifact before finding Gram!
What will the Backside of Forty do? Do they defy Artemis and find Gram first? You will have to read Meddling in Magical Pursuits to find out! Trust me when I say "You won't be sorry if you pick up this book and well the whole dang series!" It is a wonderful, magical and full of adventure series with witches, fae, a mermaid, demigods and gods, demons and dragons! What more could a paranormal lover want???
I have been reading Brenda Trim's books for the last 3 years and I have loved every one of them. Her writing pulls you in and keeps her readers in suspense. You are on the edge of your seat adventure because you never know what is going to happen!

I love 💕 this fantastic, beautifully written magical story and Artemis & three of her Huntresses again trying to save the world from Demons, rogue Gods, demigods, Monsters and constant mayhem. Aislinn, her mate Argies & their baby daughter Kalliopa with Violet and her mate Thanos, Fiona and her mate Sebastian are trying to find and rescue Fionas grandmother from rogue demigods while looting for the Fountain of Youth for the Goddess Artemis. Amazing story, impossible to put down, non stop action from beginning to end.🔥🥰.

With the kidnapping of Grams from the warded home, the Backside of Forty is thrown into another mystery/adventure that coincides with finding the Fountain of Youth for Artemis. They are joined by Luciana, the Pleiades from Europe on this quest and the action never stops! A cliffhanger at the end has you eagerly awaiting the next book in the series to see who is behind all the new drama!.

I was really enjoying reading this book. There was lots of action with all sorts of new evil creatures the girls are fighting in order to find Grams as well as the Fountain of Youth. Add in some steamy moments and everything was moving along perfectly. Then came the cliffhanger ending!!! I didn’t like that at all because now I have to wait till the next book is released to find out what happens.

These ladies have so many irons in the fire and the hits just keep coming. I love this series and how the ladies are able to balance kids, partners, godly jobs, and the chaos that seems to surround them. Honestly, they should all be wearing capes to denote their super powers.

This is another great addition to this series. Gran has been taken and the coven will do anything to retrieve her even if it means going against Artemis. There’s action, there’s adventure, there’s danger and there’s drama as secrets are revealed and trials and tribulations pop up all over the place. There’s so much going on in this book and I cannot wait for the next book to shed some light.

The BoF is on the case with the help of their mates and the Pleiades from Italy. They have to battle various types of demons in search of Grams, who has disappeared from Pymm's Pondside. This story has plenty of action, romance, and steam, ending with a cliffhanger. Very highly recommended.

This is a wild ride with one magical catastrophe after another. The search for Grams is so tricky and filled with hazards. The Backside Of Forty hit one wall after the other but will not give up. It leaves you hanging at the end which just makes me eager for the next book.

Another great read that I enjoyed. Grams is kidnapped and the BOF will do anything too get her back. The dangers and threats are higher then ever. Artemis secrets become exposed. Great read and characters that I enjoy.

Very disappointed in this book. The ending just stopped. Like maybe the deadline came and the story wasn’t finished so she submitted what was done.

Great story!
I love this book and I love Ms. Trim's writing style!! Her story flows easily and keeps you entertained. I never felt like there was a lull in the story or a lot of unnecessary filler. She is a very gifted and creative author. You won't be sorry to buy this book.
