Influence spread across Europe, and for the next century, his works inspired much music, drama, poetry and philosophy. Many persons consider Goethe the most important writer in the German language and one of the most important thinkers in western culture as well. May 8, 2017Das alte Ende aus der Sturm und Drang Zeit hätte mir mehr zu gesagt. Das war noch so schön skandalös im Gegensatz zur neuen Fassung ;)

Ο Γκαίτε πολύ μπροστά από την εποχή του,ε; Ένας άντρας, δύο γυναίκες, ένα παιδί, μια κατάσταση όπου ο άντρας το παίζει τρελίτσα και έχει και γυναίκα με παιδί στον έναν τόπο και μνηστή σε άλλον τόπο - με μια, σαθρή κατ'εμέ δικαιολογία. Και σου λέει τι είναι καλύτερο να κάνω για να ντριπλάρω την κατάσταση αυτή; Θα ποροτείνω ένα ερωτικό τρίγωνο και θα είμαστε όλοι χαρούμενοι :P
Oh wait, η κοινή γνώμη το 1775 σοκάρεται με την λύση αυτή και έτσι ο Γκαίτε αναγκάζεται να δώσει μια λιγότερο σκανδαλώδη αλλά περισσότερο gore λύση στο δράμα.
Θα το χαρακτήριζα ως soap opera της εποχής, με πολύ συναίσθημα, πολύ δράμα και έντονες ερμηνείες.
Υ.Γ. Η έκδοση από Κάπα Εκδοτική πολύ όμορφη, να θες να την κορνιζάρεις!

Verlorene Liebe, schöne trauernde Witwen und ganz, ganz viel Gefühl!
Stella war so revolutionär, dass es Goethe selbst nach enigen Jahren nicht mehr verkraftete und den Schluss dieses ultra-pathetischen Stücks in eine Tragödie änderte. Ich finde es einfach urkomisch. Ein Muss für traumatisierte Schüler und die, die ihn mal von seiner schwärmerischen und etwas lächerlichen Seite kennenlernen wollen.
Ich habe das Stück noch nicht auf der Bühne gesehen, stelle es mir aber in der richtigen Inszenierung göttlich vor. Bräuchte allerdings einen Schuss Selbstironie.

“Stella” by Johann Goethe was written in 1775.
Ferdinand abandoned his wife (Cecilia) and daughter (Lucie). Cecilia during a travel meets Stella and befriends with her. Then they realise that Ferdinand is Stella’s lover. However, Cecilia does not quarrel with Stella and they still are friends. They would like to live together as polygamous marriage or partnership but they know that it will not be approved by the society.
In the play is explored the concept of polygamy. Here is shown a love triangle, but not a typical one in which two persons are competing to gain the approval of the third person; here the three persons love each other and would like to live in polygamy.

Schwacher Plot, schwaches Ende, heute besonders in seiner abgeänderten Fassung irrelevant (wobei auch das damals provokative Ende mit einer Dreiecksbeziehung das Werk nicht retten würde). Sprachlich gewohnt ausgefeilt, aber auch keine Glanztat, das schwächste Stück Goethe, das ich mir bisher angeeignet habe.

Die gesamte Problematik der Geschichte bricht in sich zusammen wenn man die Möglichkeit eines flotten Dreiers in Betracht zieht. Diesen Denkfehler bei Seite ist das Buch immer noch nicht gut und scheitert sogar daran eine vor Sülze triefenden Schleimspur zu hinterlassen wodurch eine emotionale Bindung zur Geschichte unmöglich wird und das Buch nur für realitätsferne Zwangsneurotiker die es für „romance“ halten zu empfehlen ist.

Stella ist ein ungewöhnliches Drama. Nicht seiner Komplexität, seiner Einheiten, des Stils wegen oder dergleichen, sondern wirklich inhaltlich. Goethe entschied sich zum zentralen Handlungspunkt des Dramas eine Dreiecksbeziehung zu machen. Für sich nicht sonderbar, würde die Conclusio da nicht lauten, alle drei in einer polygamen Beziehung landen zu lassen. Dieser ganze neumodische, woke Kram — fürchterlich!
So zumindest das Fazit meiner Auflage. Man kann sich vorstellen, dass die Zeitgenossen Goethes wenig begeistert waren, weshalb er das Stück umschrieb: Vom »Schauspiel für Liebende«, wie der Autor es selbst bezeichnete, hin zu einer Tragödie. Denn wann alle sterben ihrer Unsittlichkeit wegen, das ist publikumstauglich. Ich verstehe die Zuschauer- und Leserschaft des Sturm und Drang auch nicht, ehrlich gesagt. Hat mir jedenfalls gefallen! Überraschend witzig, übrigens.

Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass Stella und Cäcilie diesen blöden Fernando beide verlassen hätten und selbst ein Paar geworden wären oder wenigstens ein Fernando-freies WG-leben gestartet hätten.
Aber man bedenke natürlich die Entstehungszeit! Zu dieser Zeit war das Buch ohne hin schon skandalös (weswegen es ja auch zwei Enden gibt) und genau das finde ich wiederum interessant!
Trotzdem habe ich mich konstant darüber aufgeregt, wie dieser Fernando von beiden Frauen fast schön vergöttert wurde, obwohl er beide nicht gut behandelt hat und beide ohne mit einer Wimper zu Zucken (wieder🤡) verlassen würde.
