Lilah freaking Love is back and she's pulled into a mystery that's got ties going to some of the top powers in the nation. The hunt is just heating up as both Kane and her are dealing with their own ghosts.

I loved the deep intrigue of this mystery as well as the danger that lurks around this couple separately and together. This is a story that is built one layer at a time and I freaking love the path this author is taking me through to reach its conclusion.

This ends in a cliffhanger. While you could probably read this without reading the previous books, I recommend you start with book 1.

Lilah fucking Love-Mendez strike again, love her & all her fbombs & wonderful sarcasm. Looking for another killer, that reaches to close to home Deputy Director Murphy her boss at FBI…who does she work for FBI, Homeland Security or the President himself…What they don’t realize is Lilah only move to her own beat. With bodies dropping out of Washington and the rush to find the assassin before the next body drops.

For some reason it feels like a lot was revealed, yet a lot of the time they were spinning their wheels. The big reveal being what's going on with Kane. That really has the option to go nuclear and in a bad, bad way. I know Kane is trying to work around it, but it doesn't seem like there are any good options.

With Lilah, people are dropping like flies around her, big time influential people and she's drawn in. Put with people who are supposed to help her, yet she isn't sure she can trust them. She depends on her core crew, but still things are crazy. It will be interesting to get to the bottom of things and see why all this happened.

So frustrated with the cliff hanging. At least solve the case within the same book. I have read every book but this is getting very old. Love the characters but now don’t plan to read until at least two books are released. Will not recommend because of how it is being drawn out. In fact I am not reading any more of Lisa Renee Jones stories unless series is completed tired of wanting a year to find out who did it!!

The Ghost Assassin in book 9 in the Lilah Love series by Lisa Renee Jones. If you have not read the previous books, you should. They provide the background of situations and relationships that lead to the beginning of this book.

The Ghost Assassin begins where the previous book, The Party is Over, ends. Lilah has just closed a case and has no downtime before she is dumped into a high profile murder.

Some beloved characters are in the book, and a few new ones are introduced.

Lilah’s husband Kane Mendez is dealing with his own drama that began at the end of The Party is Over. He is trying to figure out the shifting leadership of the cartel while also worrying about how this may affect Lilah’s safety.

Dropped into the deep end of high level political intrigue when she is called by Homeland Security to investigate a murder, this leads to Lilah deciding the only people she can trust and try to protect are those in her inner circle.

At times, Lilah and Kane deal with miscommunication, or rather lack of communication, which stems from their need to make sure everyone around them is safe. They are a dynamic pair who fights hard, but they love even harder.

As a readers, we get to see differing points of view in this book with glimpse of Kane’s POV. It is refreshing to see how it fits in the story. As always, Lilah's wit is sharp and lends a bit of humor to dark situations. Her conversations with Jay and Kit are a highlight. As is her increasing interaction with Jack.

This book seems to pull the reader into the idea of questioning who to trust and politics with peeks into the highest levels of the government. This mixed with the interpersonal relationships balance well, leading to a book that pulled me in and made for a fast read.

It got to the end, and I was surprised it was ending there. That is not something that happens often to me, so I was pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend this book to someone interested in any of a variety of genres from suspense, politics, drama, are even romance (although that is an underlying tie in the series, as it is why the main characters do what they do and is vital to the progression of the story).

I love all the books in the series, and this one especially holds a place for me because of how smoothly and easily I was drawn into it immediately.

NOTE: This does end on a cliffhanger.

**I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book, and all opinions in the review are my honest opinions.**

Lilah fucking Love is back! In a story that packs a punch both in intensity, intrigue and emotion.

As deputy director of the FBI and Lilah's direct supervisor has been murdered in what appears to be an assassination and now Homeland Security want Lilah to find out who did it.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this story. As Lilah's husband Kane is in Mexico ready to kill his uncle and install an ally as head of the family cartel.

However, it all goes wrong, and Kane is faced with a ghost from his past and a dilemma that has him seriously thinking leaving Lilah is his only way forward.

But the reappearance of a ghost and the death of Murphy can't possibly be a coincidence, can it?

And as Lilah scrambles to get her brother and team to safety and learn all she can about those now in charge. She's summoned to Washington. As another high-profile person has been assassinated and now Lilah has two murders to solve and no way of asking questions or interviewing potential witnesses.

And with a ghost assassin hanging around and a ghost resurfacing. Not to mention pressure mounting from the highest levels of government who may not be telling Lilah the whole truth. This was a gripping read. That had me hooked from start to finish and I can't wait for the conclusion of this story and to find out how Lilah and Kane are going to work their way out of this.

I would thoroughly recommend The Ghost Assassin and the Lilah Love series as a whole to others.

My thanks to LRJ and Wildfire Marketing for the opportunity to read an early copy of The Ghost Assassin. 😊

The latest thriller from Lisa Renee Jones and The Ghost Assassin had me engrossed from the start as Lilah’s latest case comes a little to close to home, as the victim is someone she’s been working with to bring down The Society, an secret group with deep political links and who have infiltrated the highest echelons of law enforcement. The only thing Lilah knows for certain is that the one person she can trust is her husband Kane but he’s got his own problems to deal with involving the Cartel and the recent return of his father from the dead. With twists and turns galore that shout toward a wider conspiracy and like Lilah I was second guessing everyone’s motives, this suspense-filled plot had me so engrossed from the first page I was almost afraid to blink as I was reading in case I missed something.

The Lilah Love series have everything I look for when it comes to romantic suspense. A strong female lead with attitude - Lilah isn’t someone you would want as a friend. She’s anti-social, full of attitude, distrustful, foul mouthed and very confrontational but if you were ever unfortunate enough to be murdered, then she’s the person you’d want on the case. An ingenious, fast paced plot full of twists, turns and suspense that will leave you totally confused but at the same time unable to stop reading because you just have to know what happens next and complex characters none of whom you’d turn your back on unless you’re not afraid of a knife between the shoulder blades. What’s not to love about this series!

*** I would strongly recommend reading these books in order of release as there is an underlying plot woven across the series.

The Ghost Assassin is book 9 in the Lilah Love series by Lisa Renee Jones. In book 9, Lilah and Kane are faced with many twists and dangers coming at them. Lilah experienced a professional loss which has her called to DC. The higher ups want Lilah to find the killer. While this is happening, Kane is taking care of business in Mexico. Only thing is, things went so wrong so fast. Kane thinks he sees a bad vision of someone from his past.. a ghost. Now Kane will try to figure out who's coming after him and Lilah. Lilah is doing her own investigations, into the murders + trying to help her husband. Can Lilah be able to figure out what is going on before it's too late? Amazing, strong, and vibrant murder mystery.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *********

4.5stars-THE GHOST ASSASSIN is the ninth instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’s contemporary, adult LILAH LOVE romantic, suspense series focusing on on foul-mouthed, aggressive, contentious and prickly FBI agent Lilah Love-Mendez, and her husband, businessman /Cartel heir Kane Mendez. THE GHOST ASSASSIN should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events of book eight THE PARTY IS OVER. If you have not read the previous instalments, there may be spoilers in my review.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from first person perspective (Lilah), and several chapters from Kane Mendez, THE GHOST ASSASSIN picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book eight in which someone working closely with our story line heroine is dead, an assassin’s bullet meant to send a message to Lilah Love. Throughout the series, Lilah has been looking into an organization known as The Society, a powerful group that controls many of the politicians, law enforcement personnel, and the rich and famous, and it is this group that may or may not be targeting the people at the top. As Lilah and her intrepid group of specialists begin to slowly unravel the clues, Lilah finds herself facing down the person who may be responsible for killing them all.

Meanwhile, Lilah’s husband, and Mexican cartel heir Kane Mendez, finds himself at a crossroads. As the heir apparent, Kane must come to terms with his future going forward but similar to Lilah’s investigation, the people surrounding Kane are dying at the hands of someone in charge.

The world building continues to focus on Lilah Love’s frenzied determination to take down the bad guys but the bad guys are often someone Lilah knows. As Lilah’s investigation takes on a personality of its’ own, Lilah’s home life is sitting on the precipice of a hole from which neither she nor Kane will be able to recover.

Once again, there is a large ensemble of secondary and supporting characters including Lilah’s bodyguard Jay, Kane’s bodyguard Kit; NYPD Chief Houston, interim FBI Director David Ellis ; Lilah’s brother Andrew; hacker Lucas Davenport; forensics tech Jack Cox, medical examiner Danica Day; and Lilah’s IT guru Jeff ‘TicTac’ Landers, most of whom are the hunter/gatherers of Lilah’s investigations. We are introduced to a new team of FBI agents, an assassin who goes by Ghost; and the return of someone long thought buried and gone.

THE GHOST ASSASSIN is a story of secrets and lies, power and control, murder and assassinations, struggles, acceptance, friendships and love. The fast paced premise is intriguing, thought provoking and fascinating, and covers but a couple of days in the life of Lilah Love and her husband Kane Mendez; the characters are determined and dynamic. THE GHOST ASSASSIN ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

Smoking Hot Lilah Love is at it again.....only this time she's doing it with a vengeance.

In Book #9 Lilah Love is looking for the killer of her boss, she realizes this is getting extremely close to her on a personal level. While investigating the murder Lilah is shocked to find Homeland Security on the scene. With no patience for outsiders Lilah’s instinct is at its highest alert and she starts to reach out to everyone in her circle for them to go into hiding. Knowing that the Society is responsible for this murder she takes no prisoners. She wants the killer found so she can kill them herself.

Meanwhile, Kane is having issues of his own trying to decide how to keep Lilah safe and taking care of his dead father. Feeling like he must make decisions that will change their lives forever.
The intensity of these two death defying characters had me enthralled in the book, lost wondering what was coming next.
While Lilah is deep in trying to find clues, the interim Director calls her to Washington DC for yet another murder. Not knowing who it was or how it happened she was whisked away to speak with the President of the United States; not understanding why the President wanted to speak with her she went and was informed that she could not disclose any intel to anyone. Not trusting the current interim Director and she did not trust the Homeland Security Director; she decided it was time to return to New York City to continue her investigation when “Ghost” approached her the #1 assassin in the world. The man who saved her life once and disappeared thereafter…. He informed her that she had a price on her back and that he knew who the killer was but could not disclose that information. Just as they drew guns he disappeared.
Once Lilah arrives back in NYC, she returns home to Kane who is still burning through his own problems. Lilah is deeply concerned about where his head is.
When Lilah tells Kane she and Ghost had words; he becomes even more angered. Kane, needing to stop his father departs looking for what he believes to be the best solution.

Lisa Renee Jones writes the most amazing murder mystery stories, they are full of suspense. Lilah Love and Kane Mendez are so addicting. Once you start reading you cannot stop. The Chemistry of these two main characters ignites a burn in your soul deep. They are two very broken individuals who come together like a moth to the flame. It is truly intense.
This story is so suspenseful I promise you will be gasping at the end…. Lisa Renee Jones has the best cliffhangers I have ever read. Grap your copy now and let me know what you thought as well of “THE GHOST ASSASSIN.”

"The Ghost Assassin" is the ninth in the "Lilah Love" series, and picks up exactly where the previous book, "The Party Is Over", left off. As an FBI profiler, Lilah Love once again finds herself in the middle of a case that will not only turn her professional life upside down, but her personal life as well.

The previous case is closed, but Lilah has no time to stop: she is pulled into a high-profile murder investigation, while she is drawn deeper and deeper into a web of political intrigue. She's working a murder case that traces all the way to the highest circles in Washington. As the case grows more complicated, Lilah has not one but two murders to solve – both the obvious work of a professional assassin. But who is behind the murders? And are those who have assigned the case to her to be believed, or is it all just part of a bigger game?

What makes the story special is that this time Kane Mendez, Lilah's husband, gets more involved, and not just in the background, as some chapters are told from his point of view. This adds new depth to his character and gives readers an insight into the struggles behind his decisions. For Kane, the question now is not only what future he wants for the cartel, but also how these decisions will affect Lilah's safety.

Lilah and Kane's relationship remains filled with tensions over how they can balance their personal lives with the chaos raging around them. Each wants to protect the other, but often with the opposite effect. The dynamics between them remain fascinating: two strong personalities who fight and love in their own way – passionately, without compromise.

The book's atmosphere remains dominated by the author's signature style: dark, twisty and tense, occasionally lightened by Lilah's sarcastic humour. Lisa Renee Jones doesn't give a clear ending this time either, leaving plenty of unanswered questions to keep us waiting for the next part. "The Ghost Assassin" is a worthy continuation of the "Lilah Love" series, further deepening the characters and intensifying the mystery surrounding the political games.

🅼🆈 🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆:

This one was a fast-paced, edge of your seat kinda ride that will take you from one wild reveal to the next and keep you so immersed you won't realise you've reached the last page of the book.

After reading this series, I was shocked to find out for the first time tiny cracks between Kane and Lilah. Not between their love because those two give Love a new definition.
They k!|| for each other without hesitation and live for each other.

But after that major crashing secret revealed in the previous book, Kane for the first time feels he has no control over the situation and what has to be done next seems to be something that he's not able to decide.
His decision will gravely affect not only his life and business but also the authority he's always had on his enemies but more importantly, it'll affect his relationship with Lilah which matters the most to Kane.

Lilah not only has been thrown the biggest curveball, investigating someone she never ever thought she would, but now there are much bigger players involved that want to dictate her every move while also relying on her to solve this highly dangerous case.

Lilah along with her trusted team of Tic-Tac, Lucas, her brother Andrew, her new pushed himself into the team member Jack and her bodyguards, Jay and Kit - are now racing against time to somehow make sense of the limited clues they have and find out who had the guts to carry out these biggest crimes.

Ahhh... There's just so much going on and I can't wait to dive into the next one. Loved this one.

The Ghost Assassin is my least favorite of the series so far. The pacing is sharp and the stakes are high, but some of the emotional beats just didn’t hit the way I’ve come to expect from Lilah Love.

The plot kicks off strong with the murder of someone close to Lilah, clearly an assassination, which pulls her into the orbit of Ghost, who is one of the most dangerous assassins in the world. The question of whether Ghost is ally or enemy keeps the tension high, and Lisa Renee Jones does a great job blurring the line between trust and betrayal. That constant sense that anyone could be a threat is still one of the strongest elements of this series.

That said, this book was frustrating in places. Lilah and Kane’s lack of communication really wore on me. I understand tension and conflict are necessary, but it felt overdone here and made their relationship feel stalled rather than complicated. I missed the sharp, united front they usually present, especially when things are this deadly.

There were also a few moments that pulled me out of the story—like the Department of Defense having a “director” instead of a secretary. Small detail, sure, but it stood out enough to break immersion for me.

Still, the writing is solid, the mystery is compelling, and the danger feels real. Even when this series isn’t at its strongest, it’s still better than most in the genre. I’ll absolutely keep reading, because if there’s one thing Lisa Renee Jones does well, it’s making sure you need to know what happens next.

I absolutely love this series and this is my favorite so far. Lilah continues to prove why she is the best at what she does. She trusts no one except her inner circle. This particular case involves national security and those who know too many secrets.
Lilah is unapologetically brash and speaks her mind. Even to her husband, drug kingpin Kane Mendez. This is what I love about her. Lisa Renee Jones continues to add more brashness and wisdom to Lilah. But we also see a softer side of her when it comes to Kane and those she fully trusts.
Kane Mendez is a man of pure control, every thing he does is thought out and when it comes to Lilah, he is possessive and protective.
In retrospect with the other books in the series, The Ghost Assassin has more of a political undertone. Politics has been part of the series, but the implications reach higher levels of government than in the previous books. This makes for a plot that makes this a must read page turner.
With its amazing characters and an intense storyline, The Ghost Assassin is a definite must read. Full of twists and turns, and the complexity of Lilah’s relationships with those around her, Lisa Renee Jones has written an amazing new chapter of Lilah’s life.

I was a little surprised with the twists and turns The Ghost Assassin took. In fact, I’m a little scared to see just where Lisa Renee Jones is taking Lilah and Kane. Agent vs. Assassin can’t come out soon enough. I have praised LRJ in the past and still will. She writes fluid and wonderful characters. Her storylines are always intriguing and keep you sitting on the edge of your seat, turning page after page. Lilah and Kane are phenomenal together and apart. But, I’m really nervous about the way Kane is acting in this installment. There are so many unanswered questions that I seriously need answers to. Is it Ghost? Is it Pocher? Is it an unknown? People coming back from the dead … Assassinations … meetings with the President … unsolved mysteries. So much happened in the Ghost Assassin and I doubt we’ll get all the answers in Agent vs. Assassin either. Lisa Renee Jones opened up a whole can of worms with this one and it’s going to take a lot to get all the answers. But, that’s LRJ … she knows how to keep you waiting and wanting more. Then, she twists the next story so much that, with every question answered, there are five more to take it’s place. Eh, it’s Lisa Renee effing Jones and we wouldn’t expect anything less.

Lisa Renee Jones really turned up the intrigue factor in Ghost Assassin. If you're looking for things to be tied up neatly with a bow at the end of the book--think again. Ghost Assassin is part of a duet and yes you'll be left hanging. Lilah and Kane are up to their proverbial behinds in an alligator filled swamp, for vastly different reasons. Kane's trip to Mexico proved not only deadly but there was a shocking revelation that changes the entire playing field. It's kind of a "damned if he does or damned if he doesn't " situation. For her part, Lilah gets called in by Homeland Security to work a murder bypassing her FBI higher ups. In effect, DHS is tying her hands by keeping the investigation quiet--no press whatsoever. Secondly, she has to contend with two officials she knows nothing about and therefore does not trust. Especially when they seem to be talking out of both sides of their mouths. A second murder of a high ranking official has her investigation once again handcuffed by a news blackout. The intrigue and mystery only deepen with the minor information Lilah and her team dig up. What a ride!!!

Lilah is back again with a whole new case this time it hits close to home. Her boss, Director Murphy, is found dead in his hotel room. Lilah is asked to investigate only there are a slew of whole new people in play that she isn’t sure who to trust. All the while Kane is dealing with a lot and is trying to figure out how to handle the situation after his very eventful trip to Mexico. There is so much going on for both Kane and Lilah, but these two are definitely stronger together than part.

The mystery and intrigue has really increased in The Ghost Assassin. With everything going on, we can say the dumpster fire is blazing in the first part of the Lilah duet. This book ends on a cliff hanger with so many questions and lives in the balance until we get the conclusion with Agent vs Assassin in which you guessed it we get to see Ghost. I really enjoyed this addition to the Lilah Love series, I was entrenched from the first page and was shocked when I reached the to be continued line, I just got so into the story. I think this is one of my favorites of the series and I’m hoping Kane makes a smart decision, not a bad one.

First of all I have to say that I am a huge fan of LILAH LOVE!!! I have loved reading this series by Lisa Renee Jones and Ghost Assassin did not disappoint.

Lilah is looking for a murderer and this case is very personal. When her friends and mentor is murdered she is once again thrown into a deeper investigation than what it should be. While this is happening we see another murder. What is happening?! That is what I kept saying to myself. I couldn't stop reading...even though I knew we would have a cliffhanger but the read was so exciting and had me believing one thing and then through me for a loop thinking of something else.

Another thing that I loved was that in this book I finally was able to see the POV of Lilah's husband Kane.
I love that we were able to see what he is thinking.
They love each other and love their close family and friends they will do whatever it takes to make sure they are safe.

If you enjoy mystery, thrillers and most definitely a snarky, rude sometimes, strong willed women you will LOVE Lilah like I do.

THANK YOU LISA. I cannot wait for the next book.

What a Phenomenal read! I just can’t get enough of this series. This had an action packed plot, full of twists, turns, murders and suspense, that will keep you on the edge of your seat, unable to stop reading, because you have to know what or who may be next in this latest thriller by Lisa Renee Jones.

With another killer on the loose Lilah’s latest case becomes a little to close to home when the victim is someone she has been working with to bring down The Society, a secret group with deep political ties, and who have infiltrated into some of the highest positions of power in law enforcement.

As Lilah tries to figure out not only if her or others close to her are in danger, she can’t help but be suspicious of everyone and everything. And that brings out the best of Lilah Love’s attributes as in her snarky, anti-social, distrustful, foul mouthed, and confrontational attitude and she brings it out in spades. So why is the killer targeting powerful people? Could it simply be for sport? Or is it personal? Or for Revenge? And is it someone she knows? You will need to read to get all the juicy details! Can’t wait for the next in this series!!

Lilah has just closed a high profile case in NY when another murder lands in her lap. Ghost Assassin is a story containing political intrigue that begins when Lilah receives a call Homeland Security to investigate a murder. This murder happens to be high profile and someone that she knows very well.

Lilah’s husband, Kane, finds himself in the middle of a family battle that began at the end of The Party is Over. In Ghost Assassin, Kane is dealing with the dynamic shift in leadership within his family while also worrying about Lilah’s safety. Lilah knows the only people she can trust are those in her inner circle and she must protect them at any cost.

At times, Lilah and Kane deal with communication through their bodies and not their words. They are a powerful pair who fights hard, loves even harder and will die for each other if necessary.

Ghost Assassin leads the reader to question along with Lilah and Kane who to trust in the political world and those they find in the highest levels of the local and federal government.

This was a fast-paced read and one that can not be missed in the Lilah Love Series.

Just WOW! Lilah Love-Mendez is an F.B.I. agent who doesn't really like anyone but her husband Kane and maybe her brother - everyone else is on her - list.

The bodies pile up while Lilah works and swears her way through an investigation where she trusts no one all while she worries about Kane - who had gone to Mexico to deal with pressing family problems (and finds more trouble than he ever expected).

This is Lilah at her best and often nastiest as she tries to find who killed Murphy, what that has to do with her mother's long ago death and why everything keeps landing on her shoulders.

Fantastic read as we walk through it all with this amazing woman - one if we are honest we would like to be for just a little while. She loves in her way and if you are an enemy you had better run! The ending will have you up in arms and waiting impatiently for the next offering by the amazing Lisa Renee Jones.

Lilah my girl….she is quintessential Lilah as usual. So snarky, sarcastic, funny but deadly. She is warning her opponents that they will die, oh so nicely. She and her ‘mob’ or not, husband have two huge problems on their hands. Kane’s dead father is alive, and Lilah’s boss was murdered. The two of them in their unusual combination, love each other and protects with their lives. To a fault. Well, it’s like chasing tails with these two conundrums. Lilah was even summoned to the White House to meet the President. Yes, our Lilah. Color me impressed. She was also impressed (I think). Kane? Kinda.

Anyways, at the end of the book, there’s a slight light at the end of the tunnel, but then a relative of Kane cornered Lilah. We all remembered what happened to his last relative who did this? Kane despatched him to beyond, to use that euphemism. So I am ‘patiently’ waiting for the next book LRJ.

Kane is in Mexico and he kills Uncle Miguel. He is about to announce Laslo as the new boss. Laslo is killed by Roberto Mendez, Kane’s father who is supposed to be dead.

As Lilah wraps up the Horror Move Killings, she is dragged by Homeland Security to a new crime scene. Her boss at the FBI, Director Murphy, was shot between the eyes in a professional hit. Lilah is upset about two things. One, she won’t get the truth from him about why he was following her mother right before she died in a plane crash. Two, Lilah is worried that they are getting too close to the Society. She is afraid that the Society will go after everyone involved which includes Tic Tac, her cousin Lucas, her brother Andrew, Kane and herself. She requests that Danica Day be assigned as Medical Examiner for this case because she trusts her not to screw up.

Both Lilah and Kane have their hands full with Director Murphy’s murder and Kane’s father Roberto still being alive.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this latest book in the Lilah Love series. I have to start by saying I really liked that Kane had a few chapters or parts of chapters so we are able to read his POV. Lilah is such a great character and so fun to read about. I love her confident attitude when it comes to her job and how she deals with those around her. We meet two new people in this book who have the reader wondering whose side they are really on. There are some surprises along the way when it comes to Kane's family and the ones who work for him. Through it all Lilah and Kane are a strong team. Even when it appears they try to protect one another by not sharing all that they could. Both soon realize that doesn't really work of help their relationship. They are stronger when they are open and honest. The appearance of the Ghost Assassin is wonderful. It adds another element to the story and has the reader curious to know the identity. All in all this was a very entertaining read and I can not wait for the next Lilah Love book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This series is like crack. I can't get enough of it and I'm close to begging to get this author to write more and faster.

Everything I love about this book is described in my review of the first book. We have the same main characters. Each book tackles a case that usually gets solved by the end of each book, but there is still an overall plot. This time, the story plot for this book didn't get solved and will bleed into the next book.

I highly recommend reading this series in order. It's become and stayed one of my favorite series. I couldn't even give you a negative about this series, that's how much I love it. Well, I had one tiny negative in the first book and that's only because this couple had spent some years apart and with other people. That ends very quickly in book one.

Seriously. One of the best series. Read it.
