Marrying a Cowgirl is a charming story of a widowed father raising 7 daughters. His rules were you were not allowed to date until the sister older than you were married. The oldest married a man that had a farm where he broke horses to sell. The next oldest had been dating behind her father's back since she was in high school. She has dated just about every man in the small town. The one she dated the longest was back in high school, James who went onto school and is now the town vet. He did not love her but asked her to stop the slipping around but she wasn't interested. When he left to go to school she started the flavor of the month dating. She is now in her 20's with no desire to settle down.

The third sister has had a crush on James since they were all in high school. She dreamed of dating him one day. But when James had to assist with the birth of Calliope's foal, Constance fell in love with James and wanted to work with taking care of animals. James tells her she can follow him and learn what she can first hand and he will pay her tuition to get her veterinary tech degree. Then if she still enjoys it she can go onto school to learn veterinary medicine. She loved helping James and excelled at the classes she was taking on the computer. They start to date behind her father's back. After a few months he wants to tell her that he loves her and that he wants her for ever but instead she breaks up with him. She fears that her father will cause people to not do business with James or kill him. James decides to go talk to her father without her knowing. And what is he met with but a shotgun pointed at his chest while he talks. If that is not enough of a surprise, Constance finds out that James and Brielle dated in high school which has been kept secret all these years. After James' surprise visit Brielle starts fussing with her father about the same thing he had heard James say. But the order of dating has been a rule for 10 years until Constance tells her father he has all the sisters in a pen and will not let them out until the one ahead of them gets married. He is hurt that his daughter thinks he is handling them as cattle. She tells her father that is what he knows the best. But the real question is will he change his dating rule?

I received an advanced copy for my honest review. This book is the 2nd in the series and is an entertaining read. I give it 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!

A cowgirl who loves horses finds love with the local vet.

Loved being back with the Callahan girls again. Constance and James story was sweet. He had been her high school crush. He had gone out with her older sister. Both had gone behind their fathers back. Their dads rules were not quite right he wasn't letting them spread their wings. But Sean and James stood up to him and so did Adeline, Constance and Brielle. James had found his soulmate in Constance she loved everything he did in life. He pushed her to chase her dreams. They had their bumps in the road. But got through them. Looking forward to Dianne, Eloise and Faye stories. I've already read Adeline, Grace and Constance stories. Now on to Brielle I'm reading them a little out of order. But will get back to the other three. Also their dad second chance at love. Love the ranch scene and small town in these stories.

Super good story.
In this one we have James now a vet who is out to Zeke’s place Constance horse is in trouble. Still hooked on Brielle he is having a hard time letting go. Constance one of Zeke’s daughters just doesn’t know where she fits in. This will change as the story goes on an it was wonderful to see. I liked this character like Diane her sister they just need a little help from fate. It is a really good story about Constance and James finding a real love to hold on to. High praise for this excellent piece and I am happy to recommend. I did receive a free copy of this and voluntarily chose to review it.

I’m sure Zeke Callahan’s heart is in the right place, but I’m sorry I would really hate being daughters number 5-7 and having to wait for older sisters to marry before I could date. Adeline has married, Brille has no intention of doing so and that leaves the remaining 5 girls in limbo, possibly forever. Natalie Dean brings humor, love and not just for Dr. James Pratt but also family, and a few surprises. Will perfect rule following Constance break free or will love of family keep her tied at home. I loved this book and look forward to the next one. Oh, I can’t wait for whenever love comes knocking for Brille.

Marrying a Cowgirl

I loved this book! It's a sweet, clean, heartwarming story about Constance and James. She's the daughter of a rancher, who will not let his daughters date until the oldest one marries. Constance is one of seven sisters and it's not her turn. She was okay with that, until James returns to town as the new veterinarian, and she's had a crush on him since high school. When she decides to be a vet tech and they start working together and developing strong feelings for each other, something has got to change. But, how? Read this delightful book, that has a lot of twists and turns to find out how they find their HEA. I think you will love it too.

I absolutely loved this book. James was so good to Constance, I loved seeing how his thoughts about her totally changed over the months. Constance is so bright, I loved how well she was able to become who she wanted to be. Her father is something else, will he ever change his ways and get behind relationships for his daughters. This book is full of lots of surprises, drama, intrigue and so much mor that you won’t be disappointed.

Marrying a Cowgirl

This series has been more enjoyable than I thought it would be at first. The Callahan girls are an interesting group and their dad is tough because he has to be but his love for his girls shines in this book. Constance has a crush on James, the veterinarian but she isn’t allowed to date because Bri is next in line to date and marry per their dad’s rules. James develops feelings for Constance but he has a secret. What happens when his secret is revealed? Will the marriage rule even be a question at that point?

Good, clean unpredictable romance

If you like emotional roller coasters and encouragement as the the power of perseverance, this is the book for you. It starts with the slow climb, anticipating at any moment to reach the top, only to plummet to the pits of despair once you reach it. Then you hit a sudden whiplike turn and are sent soaring into total confusion as to where the thing is heading, and a fast ending to the conclusion of the ride.

Honesty is the basis for relationships

When a relationship is built on secrets and lies, there is no future. So when the main characters in this story start out being together in secret, you know bad things will happen. I did really love both James and Constance and was rooting for them the whole way. They just needed to go about things the moral way to reap the reward of a beautiful relationship.

Marrying a Cowgirl is a clean, heartwarming, inspirational romance. I enjoyed this slowly developing romance between Constance and James. Of course, love always encounters hurdles. According to her dad. Constance cannot date until Brielle, her older sister, is married. Brielle is not even in a relationship. You will need to read this well written book to see how James and Constance get their HEA.

Clean romance

This book was very clean all the way through to the end. I felt like the relationship development wasn't happening very well. They went from thinking he was in love with someone else to all of a sudden being in love with the main character. I didn't see a transition where his feelings were being shown. It was still a cute story.

This is a poignant tale about a crush on a man who only sees the woman in front of him, because he's trying to forget her sister. There are so many things and rules going on that I'm not sure how anyone can ever fall in love. James does more than just see Constance, he sees potential and intelligence that her father stifles.

great title for a great story

I love horses so it started off with a good storyline and introduction of main characters. Did not read Book 1 but this made a read alone book just fine.
Characters were relatable and book flowed well and read in 2 days. Enjoyed relationships of the sisters. Only con is I don’t believe Vet schooling is that fast or easy.

James is the veterinarian for the area. Constance mare was having her colt and the mare was having a problem. The story begins here. You have to read this book now. I will have a hard time waiting for December to get here for the next book.

Marrying a Cowgirl

Enjoyed the story of Constance and James finding not only love for themselves but easing some of the restrictions on her younger sisters. Was glad Constance was able to expand her career opportunities and get to learn a new skill that she loves.

Great story.

Sometimes we can be so blinded by fear that we don’t see the harm we are causing. James is an heroic man whose heart is in helping animals and others. Thankfully, the two work out the problems and hearts and minds are changed.

Sweet story

A good country romance set in rural ranching areas. A country veterinarian sets his heart on one of the daughters of a very protective widowed dad. Lots of hurdles to climb for both of them before they find there happy ever after.

speed bumps

This story was a bumpy road to love. Down to a rifle in the chest from an irate father (7 Girls, mother dead). But as James and Constance get closer, his heart of gold becomes more apparent. Good second book, looking for more.
