Sweet dreams? Or scorching hot fantasies?

Georgie is finally brave enough to fully embrace living her life in Shadows Landing and the possibility of a future with Kord...but her past comes back to haunt her and the new couple find themselves thrust into a world where rules are hidden and the currency is favours, bribes and blackmail....or even your life.
Georgie learns the value of family, her true family being her Shadows Landing family, they may not be blood but they have love, gators and pirates on their side!
It is so lovely to finally see Georgie happy and confident, it has been a tough two years seeing her suffer and hide in the shadows, Kord has been so patient but as soon as she gives the green light he is claiming her and showing just how much he loves her...barmaid or not!
We love Shadows Landing and we got a crossover with some of our Keeneston favourites too, we love the whole big crazy family!

🐊🛥️I would like to know who the heck is Dude?🤣

🐊🛥️What's are those fantasy equipments? Are we sure it's not a sci-fi book?

🐊🛥️Umm..I don't see how it'll work if Georgie needs to be away from Shadows Landing more and more.... Pretty sure Kord's job won't allow him to follow regularly. And it's only halfway. I'm worried.

🐊🛥️Yeah talk in a crowded public place about your plans, why don't you?

🐊🛥️This addiction thing is going too far. Not a whole town gonna lie for a girl. How does it make sense? Moreover you use direct force with reluctant patients not downright kidnap them. How the hell is everyone from the hospital/institute going with it? And didn't she take a different psych exams or whatever who declared her stable? Doesn't that overthrow whatever this is?

🐊🛥️They still didn't clear that Georgie is mentally stable and that court order is a scam.

🐊🛥️Why would the church be empty? Is she not counting the whole town to be present for their wedding?

🐊🛥️So many things happened in this average size book.....kinda overwhelming but I liked it.

Kord King has had his eye on Georgie Grey since she first came to town. The sparks from them were off the charts, but he was biding his time until the time was right to ask her out. The whole town knew that they liked one another and was helping them to get together. The time finally arrived and Georgie would reveal who she really was. When her past catches up to her and she keeps getting kidnapped. Kord is always there to the rescue and so is the whole town. She was one of there own and they were not going to let anyone or anything come between this couple who were made for each other.
We have watched Georgie and Kord move forward to each other through the whole Shadows Landing series and it was worth the wait for these two to get their story. It had a whole lot of excitement and sizzle that happens in Shadows Landing as couple get together and find their one and only. This book was so much fun to read. Every page was a wonderful had me lol at the lengths the town would go to protect one of their own.
Like all Kathleen Brooks' books, once I start reading I can't stop.

I cannot believe another series has come to an end! Kord has had eyes for Georgie since she arrived in town over 2 years ago. Georgie was harboring a secret as to who she was and why she was in Shadows Landing. Unbeknownst to her Harper and Ryker knew who she was but not the why. Things begin to unfold when her family finds her and are determined to bring her back. The same wonderful characters are all present but it was made better as other characters took the lead. You are taken on an adventure as Kord and Georgie let loose and discover they both have feelings and let go to their feelings while trying to keep her safe from her crazy family. When Georgie's grandfather arrives I was not sure of him because up to that point there was no one good in her family but he won me over. Every time I read how the town rallies around Georgie it makes me want to move there even with Bubba! Hold onto your kindles because this book takes you on one hell of an adventure and the Laundry kids and the baby crocs are hysterical! I also liked how you get a glimpse into the Townsend series. Bring it on the bigger they are the harder they fall!!!

What a ride…

As usual, this story was action from beginning to the end..kidnappings, alligators, kids, snobby family members, over protective brothers…all of the earmarks of a great story Kathleen weaves.

Cord and Georgie have been dancing around each other for years..now is the time to finally step up and come together. When they do, all he$% breaks out. Her estranged family finds her and wants her to come back into the fold. When she refuses, she kidnapped, drugged, and in need of rescuing, not only from her family but her former life as well.

Cord is a staple in Shadows Landing..he well respected and beloved by all, but he has only had eyes for Georgie. Once she consents to be his, their commitment to each other is solidified. He will do anything to protect and save her. Calling on his own friends and extended friends from Keeneston is nothing compared to what he will do if any harm comes her way.

There is always fun when we head to Shadows Landing. Maggie Bell and the Townsend brother, Turtle and his buddies, another baby for the Faulkner gang..you always get to revisit our favorite family and friends each time we visit.

Escaping Shadows is the tenth book in the Shadows Landing series by Kathleen Brooks. Shadows Landing Series combines small-town charm, suspense, and a dash of romance.
This is a contemporary romance series with a small-town setting, some romantic suspense elements, a little drama, intrigue, tension, mystery, humour, and adventure.
After reading Ms. Brooks ‘Bluegrass’ series, and not being as ‘blown away’ by them as I had expected and hoped, I wasn’t sure if I would take the plunge into this series or not. But as they were sitting on my TBR already, and also wanting to clear my TBR list, I decide to just dive in and get them done. I have to admit that, thankfully, I did ‘enjoy’ this series a bit more than the Bluegrass books.

I love my time in Shadow's Landing. What fun it would be to be part of this community of a variety of law officers, business tycoons, Olympic sharp shooters, gator wrestlers, a pirate ship captain who talks to the pirates who founded this wonderful place, a minister who teaches women self defense with pirate weaponry and doesn't mind his congregation racing to the bbq restaurant of the day every Sunday! So many more fun characters, also! This is a great series that needs to he read in order for maximum fun. This one, like each I've read, has a unique romantic pair that faces danger but has a town behind them all the way! Must read; guaranteed belly laughs, chuckles and maybe tears but always captivating!

This audiobook had me on the edge of my seat. The narration was good, keeping me fully engaged in the story.

I enjoyed this book. Despite the many negative issues impacting Georgie's life, she and Kord were able to move their relationship forward. Georgie's family was diabolical.

With the support of the community, Kord and Georgie skillfully navigated the challenges that came from Georgie's family dynamics. The residents of Shadows Landing, as well as a few individuals from Charleston and Keeneston, rallied around the couple, helping them overcome the difficulties they faced.

I love the wit and humor, the small-town charm, family atmosphere, love, loyalty, and friendship. It was all interwoven with action, danger, intrigue, and suspense. I am looking forward to the Townsend series.

this one is much better than all she was writing during the past two years, no dramatic lines that super solider, spy, ….. it’s more realistic however some of the lines are over but it is acceptable

Kord, a talent kid but with a parent that cost him much, Georgie a trust fund girl with unhealthy life style, both met and growth up. what my love is that the acceptance and patience of Kord, how he put G on the top, that’s a girl’s power book, all of hers are but this one told u men are minor and women are the first

Kord and Georgie finally got together. However Georgie just wasn’t who we thought she was. We knew Kord was practically a hometown boy turn Deputy Sheriff. I always thought Georgie was running from an ex boyfriend or something, but turns out she was running from her wealthy family, old money. They wanted her to marry for the family business. So she left with only the cash she had on her and didn’t touch her trust fund for 2 years. Her family still had other ideas they were going to get her money if it was with her life, I mean literally.

Another fun adventure/romance in the small town of Shadow's Landing. Many characters from the series are side characters and part of the plot.

Kordell King sheriff deputy has been wanting to get close to Georgie the bartender for 2 yrs. He can tell she is prickly and standoffish so has a past and a reason. He finally (with lots of prodding from the town) asks her out. They are great together till her parents and their lawyer show up. They want her to come home - they don't love her, never have so must have some scheme to use her and she is kidnapped. Lots of suspense, humor and romance.

Kidnapping and alligator wrestling

I knew Kord was going to have a special lady when he fell, Georgie didn't disappoint! The drink slinging, dagger weilding, alligator wrestling girl has been a joy to her friends since she showed up in town! Kord has had heart eyes since the moment he first laid eyes on her! It's finally their time, and I couldn't be happier! Great visit back in Shadows Landing!

Amazing as always

I can never get enough of these books seriously amazing, love this woman lucky enough to call her a friend. A must read.

I love this book so much. Get your favorite drink and your favorite snack and get ready for a amazing story. Full of boy
meets girl and what they both must go through to find happiness. You won't want to put this book down to you read the whole story it will suck you in and have you feeling like your part of this amazing town and how love and friendship always wins over. Evil hearted people.

Family is not always blood.

In the words of WuTang, "Cash rule everything around me, C.R.E.AM. get the money, dolla dolla bills ya'll." It was the audacity and greed for me. With family like that, who needs enemies. The Greyson's were world-class S.O.B.'s. I was at the edge of my seat at every turn. Kord was a man for his woman and was ready to risk it all for our Georgie. I was there every step of the way.

Obsessed with this book, Kord, and Georgie. I love that throughout the Shadows Landing series we’ve seen a Georgie develop slowly and then in this book we just go to see her fully blossom. Kord is so incredibly selfless, kind, loving, and perfect. Experiencing their relationship was beautiful. They found a way to develop and grow together as each new challenge came forward. Beautiful.

Shadows landing at its best

Like all the Shadows landing books this one grabs your attention from the beginning and holds on to it till the last page. I enjoy MS brooks so much and can hardly wait for the next release. If you've never read one of her books just get one from either the bluegrass series or Shadows landing and prepare to be entertained. I know I'm hooked!

Reading Kathleen Brooks books is like eating potato chips. You cannot just read one book. As you can tell I love her creations. This story of Koed and Georgina has love, drama, action and humor. Another amazing read

Another amazing read from Kathleen Kord and Georgina story was amazing. Who thought Georgie was a bada$$, ofcourse Kord comes to save the damsel in distress when kidnapped but Georgie finally finds the strength with Kord to take her own life back after being kidnapped twice. Loved this story can’t wait to read more from Kathleen

Lots of emotions

I laughed, cried, freaked out, wanted to help slap people with the little alligators, cringed, and more. Full of wonderful characters and a lot of heart and soul, Georgie and Kord's story is an adventure. Loved every minute of it.
