JPJ deftly explains how your attitude impacts the effectiveness of God's blessings in your life. While it seems like a paradox; how could God's grace be minimized if it's a perfect gift? JPJ posits that past unresolved trauma primes you to respond w/ a fight or flight response that will sabotage your efforts even before the real battle starts. In Breaking Free of Rejection, Jackson gives examples from his own life, from his childhood, that persisted in his life in subtle ways; until God pointed out the wound and put His hand of healing on it.

Despite this being an unapologetically Christian book, it has truths that anyone from any background could easily grasp and avoid the pitfall of spiraling depression, coping mechanisms, destructive behavioral issues and most importantly self-sabotage.

I give this book 10/10 burritos!

Perfect book!

This book is both enlightening and practical, despite its brevity. I'm deeply grateful to John Paul for writing it. I only wish I had discovered it sooner and implemented its suggestions earlier. It's truly a lifeline for those navigating dark times, offering guidance and hope when faith is tested by life's challenges.
