Charlotte’s ex-husband Idris, newest star of the Vipers’ Nest TV Show has been kidnapped, and his latest wife Michelle, who also happens to be Charlotte’s former best friend begs her to help find him.
With only a few clues, Charlotte and Angus must work together to try and find who has taken him and where he is without informing the police before the kidnappers kill him.
I love these books. So easy to read. Likable characters and the plots are interesting and keep me reading. Yes they are short and you can easily finish a book in a day if you have the time, but I like that - it’s refreshing. I am about to start Book 4 and I have Book 5 waiting to start immediately afterwards. That’s how enjoyable I am finding them. Sometimes you need something uncomplicated yet interesting to read and for me, these books are just that. I hope Suzy continues writing in this series.
The series is improving. Like a cheese, the writing still needs to mature a lot more, but there is now a better basis from which this could happen. The 'police' side of matters remains very weak though. The books are a bit like Mills and Boon versions of mysteries. But, I do feel the author is on the up.
For pure enjoyment 5*. This series gets better as the characters develo. This story deals with the kidnap of Charlotte's former husband. Lots of humour involving exchanges are between Charlotte and Michelle, new wife and Charlotte's ex best friend.
Not the most unusual or funny, but this series is well written and the characters are likeable and engaging. I hope they get to kiss in the next installment!
I am really enjoying this series and look forward to number four. I like the twists and turns and the characters. Once you start is is hard to put it down.
