Incredibly silly micro-stories of your favorite Marvel characters as "children". Stories are kid-friendly, but the brand of silliness is geared toward someone more mature, teens or above, without being "adult humor".
In this one: Skrulls invading the Earth, the Hulk doing haiku, the Human Torch's problems with being on fire all the time, and more.
Cute and fun, the highlights are the return of Thor series and most of the Giarrusso-penned strips, followed by the McKeever and Tobin strips. The multi-colored Hulk strips by Audrey Loeb, unfortunately, are disappointing, and feature a not-terribly-funny-in-the-first-place gag run into the ground, SNL-style.
I bought this book for my three-year-old son (as an obvious "for-kids" foray into comic books) and he absolutely loves it. Thing is, I do too. It is smartly funny, and full of fantastically obscure Marvel Universe references (Devil Dinosaur, Baldur, etc). It had me chuckling aloud.
