I found this book to be really useful for the adult student who is feeling just a wee bit intimidated about starting school again. The authors do a good job of addressing those fears, reminding you of the resources colleges have to help you succeed, and throwing in highly valuable practical information on how to study and take notes. This book is truly anxiety relief. I subtracted one star because the content is a bit dated and recommend having a portfolio regardless of major, which really isn't necessary these days. Hopefully the publishers will ask for an update.

As a student starting college directly from highschool I was intimidated by the title of this book. I do not consider myself an adult, however this book has great insights especially in chapters 6 & 7 about studying, test taking and mental preparedness. These things are important to college students and I am happy I read it.
