Ian Mordoor has a job to do before he takes over as leader of the Ruean vampire clan. His first order of business is to hunt down a rogue vampire who brutally killed a human. Track him, then take the sadistic bastard out; it's all strictly business to Ian. That is, until an intriguing human woman named Jax Markson not only derails his operation, but shifts his focus. Suddenly Ian's hunt takes on a whole new meaning.
Born and raised in the Southeast, award-winning author Patrice Michelle gave up her financial calculator for a keyboard and never looked back. Thanks to an open-minded family who taught her that life isn't as black and white as we're conditioned to believe, she pens her novels with the belief that various shades of gray are a lot more interesting. She's a natural with a point-and-shoot camera, likes to fiddle with graphic design and, to the relief of her family, strums her guitar to an audience of one.
Well, that's the condensed, back-of-the-book bio about moi, anyway. :o)
As for becoming a writer...I wasn't one of those writers scribbling stories as soon as I could write, but I was a voracious reader. At the age of fifteen, I told my mom after I'd finished reading a book, "One day, I want to be the one who writes the kind of books readers think about long after they've closed it."
As Patrice Michelle, I write dark, sexy, action-packed paranormal and contemporary romances.
As P.T. Michelle, I write dark paranormal YA books. My first P.T. Michelle book is coming in July: BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS.
This book is action packed suspenseful and of course full of hot lovin. Jax Masters is a vampire hunter. Her father became a hunter after Jax's mother was bitten by one while pregnant with Jax. After giving birth to Jax her mother dies and Jax grows up believing that the only good vampire is a dead one. When one of the rouge vampires kills Jax's father she goes on the hunt. She runs into Ian who is a hybrid vampire and an enforcer. He is also on the hunt for Drace the rouge vampire. These two are instantly attracted and burning up the sheets. Ian is very alpha but Jax is a kick ass heroine and she does not take any nonsense from Ian. Since Ian is a hybrid vampire he can eat, drink and walk during the day. Jax is not aware until much later that the man she loves is a vampire.
Ian realizes that Jax is his soulmate. Since he knows how she feels about vampires he is afraid to tell her.
I was soooo anticipating reading about Ian. And I was right to think that he would take my breath away in mere minutes. This hot half-vamp half-human gives no space for the girls to recover from his sexy, roguish and hot, hot, HOT personality.
Jax is my new favorite heroine. Not only was she damn beautiful and sexy, she was a kickass, intelligent and fierce character that one gets to read about rarely. This vampire-hunter is wild, feral and absolutely breathtaking. With revenge dictating her moves, she had such a flawless grace about her that no one, not even the mofo villain or the twin brother Duncan, was left immune to her charms.
What happens when a vampire and a vampire hunter meet under unfavorable circumstances while going after the same price?
Spark Fly! Foreplay fights!! Hot angry sex!!! And a forbidden yet undeniable attraction occurs....!!!!
The best thing? Despite being the overprotective alpha, Ian still trusted Jax. He gave her breathing space and did not try to seduce her into agreeing with him. Neither did he suffocate her and most of all he was not persistent like Lucian at all.
A Taste For Revenge is the second book in Patrice Michelle’s Kendrian Vampire series. This book features Ian, the sexy hybrid vampire that we saw glimpses of in book one, and a totally new, Jax Markson. Lets just say that Jax is a vampire hunter hell-bent on revenge on all vampires, and especially avenging her father’s murder. Ian is also out to get rogue vampires. You would think they have a lot in common right? Not so much, at least at first...

I am totally hooked on this series, It's great! It's action packed and very steamy! Personally, I love books that have a lot of action and suspense along with the romance and steaminess, and A Taste for Revenge was just that. Ian & Jax are after the same evil vampire Drace, for his role in killing a human, but they are on two very different sides. Talk about opposites attract, lol. Being from totally different worlds makes the union between Ian & Jax that much more exciting. I loved this book and can't wait to see what's in store for the next one.
3.5 stars. Enjoyable and entertaining read. Liked the plot and how this played out. Two great and well matched main characters. Only spoilt by the fact that the amount of times they had to kill the cowardly Drace were too numerous. It felt like they could have killed him ten times over. Read through KU but I had read these years ago.
HOT HOT ~~ Book 2 ~~ I really liked this book :) You have two more characters to fall in love with well still keeping characters from the last book mentioned through out book 2~~I like that ! You meet Jax Markson's vampire-hunter who is out on revenge for her fathers death When she meets Ian Mordoor who is also on the hunt for the same vampire who killed a human Vampire hunter aka Her father..He didn't go looking for a mate but when they end up agreeing to find the same vamp he gets a surpise and falls for her but she is against his race.So when they say opposites attract it's Jax and Ian.It's a hot passion filled book :)

If you've read the first book in this series and thought "eh, that was ok" so you're checking out the reviews for the second book in order to see if it's worth the read, I say yes it is! This book has much more depth than the first. The characters have their own story, and it's not just about the romance. This book was leaps and bounds better than the first!
Totally awesome. I love the series. Ian was 1 of my favourites so I'm really happy with the HEA. I like how new and old characters were in this story. I liked that Jax could kick major ass and still be funny. If your a fan of Lara Adrian you'll love this series.
One thing:this hero is a total tool. I don't like when a guy calls a total stranger pet names and apparently I don't like it any more in fiction. Also his libido was ridiculous and frankly kind of creepy. Dnf
