Rosie and Belle Trent have just inherited their uncle’s rundown hotel and have decided to see if they can rebuild the unloved business. They don’t rate their chances of having a successful inn, not with the perfect one right next door owned by Elliot and Ned Renshaw.
The two sisters and two brothers aren’t meant to be friends, so when Elliot saves Rosie from drowning and they fall in love, it’s down to Belle and Ned to keep the family feud alive. All they have to do is continue to hate each other. How hard can it be?

Pepper River Inn is book # 6 in the cozy Pepper Bay series. Romance fans will enjoy this funny book's laugh-out-loud moments. The characters are loveable and felt like family to me. It is filled with witty and quirky banter.
Synopsis: Rosie and Belle Trent inherited their uncle’s rundown hotel. The two sisters are determined to rebuild the establishment. Restoring the property will be extremely expensive and time-consuming. Furthermore, the hotel is located right next door to their competitors Elliot and Ned Renshaw. An ongoing family feud exists between the Trents and the Renshaws, but what if lady love steps in? If passion takes over, will the feud continue?
Pepper River Inn would make an extraordinary television series. Although this is book #6, I read it as a stand-alone and fully embraced the story. It is a heartwarming read for autumn. A warm blanket and a cup of hot chocolate are all you need to snuggle up with this book.
Pepper River Inn (Pepper Bay #6) by K. T. Dady is available on November 1st.
My review for Rachel's Random Resources Book Tour will posted November 7th on my Instagram and Twitter accounts.
Thank you, K.T. Dady and Rachel's Random Resources, for sharing this delightful book with me!
In the sixth of this series, we meet two sets of siblings whose families have had a longstanding, if mysterious, bitter feud. They each own half of what used to be the Pepper River Inn. Now split into two halves, Elliot and Ned own a well- run and beautifully furnished hotel. Rosie and Belle find that the half they have inherited is a rundown shell of complete neglect. There are some amusing moments as the two sets of brothers and sisters stake out their claims. You also get to find out that their views on the future of the hotels are not set in stone. Each of the four central characters have their own backstory and much of the book revolves around their issues and how they are moving on with their futures. Belle and Rosie, in particular, have to work out whose affections are sincere and how they see their futures. The community of Pepper Bay is as strong as ever and supportive when needed. With the setting offering a gorgeous backdrop to the story, this is an enjoyable read with just a few festive touches to add some sparkle. In short: starting over and facing the past. Thanks t the publisher for a copy of the book
When the Trent sisters inherit their uncle’s rundown hotel they are in for a shock as it is next door to the Renshaw brothers hotel and the two families have been feuding for years! Loved the immediate connection between the two families and Pepper Bay sounds like an amazing community. My first book from this author and I will be reading more of this series, an enjoyable, cosy and uplifting story.
I have read and loved every book in the Pepper Bay series and I'm so glad I got to read this one as well.
In this one we focus on the Renshaw brothers and Trent sisters who share a property which was divided a long time ago, by their grandparents, after a feud. The two families want to hate each other and continue the fued, however, when Rosie and Elliot fall in love can they continue?
I loved the writing style and particularly enjoyed reading the internal thoughts of each character. Some of this had me chuckling. I do like how characters from previous books pop up as this adds to the community spirit of Pepper Bay.
All in all it was such a lovely fun read but included some sensitive topics which were covered well. I'm now looking forward to the next installment.
Thank you so much K.T.Dady and Rachel’s random resources for gifting me a digital copy of ‘Pepper River Inn’ in exchange for an honest review. I always jump at the opportunity to review a book in the pepper bay series, they always make me happy. This book followed sisters Rosie and Belle as they attempt to fix up their Uncles rundown hotel whilst dealing with a family curse, forbidden romances and brothers running the competition next door. I absolutely loved this book I finished it in a day (I always feel guilty about that as I know the work that goes in to writing a book) and loved the new additions to the series. I really enjoy the peppering (pun intended) of old characters sprinkled throughout as it is always nice to get an update on their lives and where they are but I always think it’s great for new followers as it doesn’t linger in the past books and you can jump in at any point. I started with book two in this series and never felt lost along the way. I really enjoy following the lives and stories of the people of Pepper bay.
While this is book six in the series I read it as a standalone having never read any of the others. I will say that I enjoyed it so much. I always love reading holiday themed books during the holidays and this one fits the bill nicely. This is one of those books that you can easily see as a Hallmark movie.
After inheriting their uncle’s rundown hotel Rosie and Belle Trent are determined to restore it and make it work for them. The only problem is that the property sits right next to not only their competitors but also the family their family has a feud with. Of course love always finds a way.
Born rivals, destined together The Renshaws and the Trents have a family feud going over a few generations. The current members of each family don’t even know what the original feud was about, but it’s the counterpart’s fault anyway… Rosie and Belle Trent have inherited from their uncle half of the Pepper River Inn, which has more alike with a haunted hotel than a flourishing one. They are determined to turn their hotel into a successful business, not afraid of the right part of the hotel run very well by Elliott and Ned Renshaw. Rivalry is on from the minute Belle and Ned meet, but when Elliott saves Rosie from drowning and fall in love instead, it’s up to Belle and Ned to keep the feud alive… Pepper Bay is such a lovely place to return to, and I was very eager to know the complete story of how the Pepper River Inn was literally split in half in the past. And of course I was very curious to get to know the owners and was looking forward to see sparks fly around! Well, with great joy I can say that the author does not give us one love story, but two! What a bargain! I always like to read how close siblings are, and decide to venture together in a business. As I am also very close with my brother, it warmed my heart to see how this such familiar and recognizable bond was present with both Rosie and Belle, and Elliot and Ned. Both pairs of siblings are very different, and it’s not only because we have two sisters against two brothers, but also because the two pairs have all gone through hardship in the past in their own ways. Yet whatever happened in the past, only made the bond stronger. Each sibling would walk through fire for each other. I know that this author is the kind of author where feelings evolve very quickly. And while it could have bothered me, why shouldn’t I believe in a coup de foudre between Elliot and Rosie? Especially when I got to read how they met… I found myself gasping for air reading how Rosie almost drowned, and I absolutely understood her trauma, especially after learning about a past incident. I am not a big fan of water myself, so I felt her anxiety thoroughly. And I ABSOLUTELY understood how Rosie swooned over her own Merman Elliot, because let’s be honest, who wouldn’t feel safe with his arms around you??? The story of Belle and Ned was a more complicated one, yet it’s often in such books that enemies tend to become more… It was hilarious to read how the both of them try their utterly best to keep on despising each other, but start to learn they have more in common than thought. And Ned’s little girl for sure was a big part of these two rivals spending more time together. It was so much fun to read this book, which can be absolutely be read as a standalone. I found it lovely to see how close all the siblings were, how protective of each other too. I laughed at the stubbornness of a few characters, but I mainly laughed about the absurd feud and the dictated, even more absurd rules. But most of all, I fell in love with reading how easy or difficult it can be to fall in love. What comes easy for one person, isn’t easy for another one. Even with all the scars (literally and figuratively ones), sometimes when you meet someone, you can feel it in your gut when you meet the right person. But sometimes it takes a while to understand who is standing in front of you. And it takes even more time to find the courage of taking that step to trust someone or to move on. This was a marvellous next chapter in a heart – warming, funny, lovely series, keeping up with the high expectations!
I received an advance review copy for free thanks to Rachel's Random Resources and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

My Opinion
This is only the second book I have read in the Pepper Bay series but it works as a standalone. A lovely wintery book that makes for a lovely cosy read, perfect for reading curled up under a blanket. Disappointingly I had to read this book over multiple sittings due to work commitments but this felt like a book that could easily be finished in one sitting. I said this when I read the last book but I really do need to find the time to work my way through this series.
The latest from Pepper Bay on the Isle of Wight. This book centres around the Pepper River Inn, which was the subject of a feud between the 2 families (the Renshaws and the Trents) for years. As a result the hotel was split and the Trent half fell into disrepair.
Years later, with the Renshaws half being run by brothers Elliott and Edward, the Trent sisters, Primrose and Bluebell inherited their half. The sisters turn up to turn their half back into a hotel, will the hotel ever be the same again?
I really enjoy these books, each a standalone stories and although best read in order of publication, each can be read independently
If you like good old romance stories, then this is for you. I can't wait for the next book to be talked.
I love this series so much, it just gets better and better with every book in the series. This is the sixth in the series, personally I'd advise you read the whole series, but they can read as standalones.
Being Island born myself, this series always transports me home for several hours. And the Isle of Wight is obviously the the best setting EVER for a book!
We catch up with some familiar faces, some new and delight in their community spirit, the friendships and above all family.
Heartwarming, cosy and I absolutely loved it.
Many thanks to Rachel's Random Resources for my tour spot.
I absolutely loved reading this book, the Trent sisters and the Renshaw brothers were meant to hate each other that is what they believed from their grandfather's and father's and the feud that was between the families. This book was very funny at times with the sarcastic banter that the sister's had with the brother's. I didn't want this story to end. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
I loved being back in Pepper Bay and this time catching up with the Trent sisters and Renshaw brothers whose families have had a long ongoing feud. Can they keep the feud going or will they become friends or even more…… I absolutely loved how theses characters were described and how their different relationships developed. Each of the main characters had a backstory that was easy to understand and just added to a great story. I found this a quick and easy read that left me wanting more and I can’t wait to find out what happens next in Pepper Bay!
This story is just wonderful, there's so much love and warmth amongst everyone, after the initial dislike at the begging. A lot of subjects are covered and this is done very well too. Pepper River Inn is as brilliant as the rest of the pepper bay books.
Absolutely get ingrossed in this series of books just sad I have to wait now to feb 2023 for next one. Loved them all. Easy to follow just perfect dip into book nice length of chapters.
At first a bit you know what's to happen with lawnmower versus swimming pool but the story behind with the flower girls builds past tension two halves hotel rebuild a future to make one sounds good this merman or Gaston you have to let of past feelings and slowly move on
I absolutely loved this book and could not put it down. I loved all the characters and the fact that to start with 2 of them Rosie and Elliott have absolutely no interest I keeping up a very old family feud as they can not keep away from each other lol. Where as belle and ned are more determined to stay clear as the other is the enemy. But this does not last long. And with kasey trying to wave some magic and Josephine being determined that she saw belle In neds tea leaves as his flower girl his future wife this turns into a joke.
Honestly could not put this book down. Can't wait for the next one.
I just adore this series! It's like a warm hug each time, giving me that warm fuzzy feeling where nothing else matters.
Every book in this series has been set in Pepper Bay which is just picture perfect with its chocolate box cottages and community feeling. This book was a little different from the others in that it focused on two couples, instead of just one. There were 4 people's side being told in third person, with in italics their inner thoughts. We really got to know their inner thoughts and feelings, which I love. Ned and Elliot Renshaw have grown up in Pepper Bay and have been raised to hate the Trents, so when Rosie and Belle Trent take over the other half of the inn this leads to quite some friction, but then Elliot and Rosie fall for each other immediately and what's the hatred between Ned and Belle all about? The story is told over just a short period of time, but I feel like we really get to know and love all four characters and Kasey too! There was more drama and excitement than I had expected. Every time I thought now is the HEA, something else happened! I am so glad this was not the last book in the series!
I have been a fan of K. T,. Dady's work for a while now. I haven't quite caught up with every book that she has released in the 'Pepper Bay' series which is something that I hope to rectify in the not too distant future. I read the synopsis for 'Pepper River Inn', which is the sixth book in the bestselling series, and it certainly sounded like the sort of book I have come to expect from K. T. Dady- a funny, light hearted romance, Well it was certainly all that and so much more. I thoroughly enjoyed 'Pepper River Inn' but more about that in a bit.
As soon as I started reading, I knew that I was reading something special and that I wouldn't be moving far from my favoured reading spot for the rest of the afternoon. I was drawn into this story from the very first word on the very first page and I found that I just couldn't put my Kindle down. My Kindle wasn't exactly glued to my hand but it might as well have been because it travelled everywhere with me. I couldn't bear to miss a single second of the story. It was as if the book had developed a hold over me and it was a hold that I wasn't willing to break. I loved the characters in the story and I had to keep reading to see what happened to them. The two families in the story haven't got on for years but I was keeping everything crossed that the feud would soon be at an end. All too quickly I reached the end of 'Pepper River Inn' and I had to say goodbye to the Trents and the Rendshaws. I found 'Pepper River Inn' to be a fabulous addition to the 'Pepper Bay' series. I was gripped by the fun and lighthearted story.
'Pepper River Inn' is superbly written but then I have come to expect nothing less from K. T. Dady. She has one of those easy going writing styles that is easy to get used to and easy to get alone with. In fact reading one of her books feels more like a chat between friends than reading a book. I hope that makes sense. K. T. Dady clearly cares about her characters and thsis hines through int he very vivid and realistic way in which she describes them. She makes her characters seem just as real as you and I. I loved the way in which K. T. Dady combines the drama with the humour. Even when the drama is happening there's always an element of humour in there. I started chuckling away to myself at the start of the story and I didn't stop chuckling until way after I had read the last word ot the last page. I love the way in which K. T. Dady makes the reader feel as though they are part of the story and at the heart of the action. That's how I felt anyway.
In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Pepper River Inn' and I would definitely recommend this book to other readers. I will certainly be reading more of K. T. Dady's work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.
From a hotel run between two best friends An upset and the friendship ends The hotel is split between the two And then they're enemies all the way through.
Two brothers, two sisters from different families A family feud making them enemies. So much time has passed none are quite sure why But staying enemies they'll have to try!
What a glorious read this proved to be With the Renshaws and Trents following guidance from family. But what happens when romance also plays a part? Can they ignore the feud and follow their heart?
A merman, a pool and a rescue, too, New choices, can they trust love will pull them through? A delightful child, Disney songs, new dreams and snow Will they dare give changing their lives a go?
The community again plays a special role As the choir and a tent also take their toll. With fortunes foretold and needing the past to leave behind Can things work out well? Will fate be kind?
Another lovely Pepper Bay read, with love all the way Even if they were enemies at the start of the day! For my complementary copy of this book, I say thank you, A beautiful enemies first romance (or two) and this is my honest review.
Just when I think I can’t love any characters any more than the previous ones…I read the next story in this series! I adored Rosie, Belle, Elliot and Ned’s story. As usual, such a wonderful and cosy story. Bringing old characters back and lots of twists and turns for the current ones! I can’t wait to find out what will happen at Pepper Bay in the next book.
