I've been playing roleplaying games for a long time, including Call of Cthulhu which shares themes and locations with this book, so I started it already quite familiar with what to expect from character archetypes and the challenges encountered. Speaking of the mechanics of the book, I found it interesting that it offers some options for pre-made characters and also allows you to make your own, I think there should be some way to spend the money already on character creation to buy equipment. I really liked the game's trophy system that rewards you for completing certain tasks in the story and the fact that the book is legacy and pages and references change as you play is amazing. About the combat, I found it simple but fast and functional, it doesn't take long and the equipment really makes the difference.
About the story, I found it to be a very classic story about something related to the Cthulhu Mythos, after a certain plot twist in the initial stage of the book and because the motivation of the antagonist of the story is something extremely valid, not only for the time the book takes place but also to this day. I liked that we visited several places and there are optional puzzles that don't stop your progress in the main story but reward you in other ways.

Primeiro livro jogo que li e para quem não conhece o gênero é um jogo de leitura RPG que não existe numero de paginas, mas sim numero de referencias que você vai lendo e tem que tomar escolhas no caminho da leitura por exemplo se for para esquerda vai para Referência A e se for para direita vai para referência B.
Na história você é um detetive que está buscando encontrar o mistério do desaparecimento de uma pessoa e no decorrer da obra as coisas vão crescendo de patamar, onde era somente investigação de desaparecimento, vira algo maior que não pretendo dar spoiler, mas compensa muito ler está obra que é diferente de todo livro que você leu se você nunca leu um livro jogo.

Muito foda, leitura obrigatória pra quem é fã do universo de call of Cthulhu do jovem nerd, demorei muito pra achar a fotografia do Venkman
