Thanks for visiting my author page! There's not much to tell. I'm just an average chick who loves to write sexy books. You won't find much fluff or drama here, but if you're looking for lovable characters and realistic smut, welcome home.

Look, I’m a person that needs plot with their books… like at least 30% plot..
I’m sure this will be an unpopular opinion BUT you want hardly any plot or such a loose plot that it’s almost non existent then sure, the second book in the Three Doors series is for you.
This is just pure porn…
3 couples who are best friends swapping between each other for couple or threesome time.
I read this thinking I might get a little more substance compared to Book 1 but Book 2 is pretty much the same but in a Beach House…
We have a couple who are still exploring each other, another couple who are up for anything and then another couple (our main FMC) who is worried that she’ll lose her boyfriend if she wants more but he is happy to have her try anything apart from the main deed if you know what I mean. And now they’ve upped the anty where the girls are playing together too… #IYKYK
For medical students, the dialogue was cringey AF between the characters. Plenty of questions between the characters about how it’s going to end and what’s going to happen between them which I guess is to add to the plot. But there was so much smut happening in this book and voyeurism that I was sometimes quite confused as to who was doing what to whom at that time… #brainscramble
Whilst some scenes were super hot 🔥🔥 𝐈 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐈 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 ‘𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐬’ 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧, 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐟**𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐝. 🤣
IF you love:
🔥 Porn 🔥 Couch Orgies whilst watching porn 🔥 5% plot around the fact that these 6 characters are in medical school and waiting for their grades… 🔥 More porn…
Well you know what to do 😝
This falls into my ‘why did I read this’ category. I didn’t connect to any of the characters and couldn’t feel any genuine feelings between them and their partners. Disappointing.
Once again, I’m absolutely obsessed with this series. The author, bless her, knows exactly how to write the sexiest scenes you’ve ever encountered. I love the summer beach house setting, the drama and the romances intertwined, but mostly, the spice. 🔥🔥🔥
let me preface this by saying i adored the first book, literally could not put it down, so of course i was excited to see where the story would go in the following book
sadly this book ended up falling flat to me. granted, i’m someone that can practically INHALE books where the smut IS the plot and smile ear to ear, but there comes a point where it becomes too much, and sadly that was the case with this book
this was TOO LONG, we pretty much spent every single day of the summer with these characters, getting a play by play of everything they did, i feel like we could’ve cut some corners, maybe skip a week or two😭
in the event that you want the plot to be the smut, try making it a more character driven story. we were in one characters head for the entire book until the very last chapter, we were just consuming the same thing over and over and over
around the 60% mark, i was started to get frustrated with the story, it was coming close to being a dnf, after putting the book down for nearly a month, then i was able to enjoy the rest of the book
let it be known that i enjoyed all the spice and seeing this group of friends enjoy their lives, but things should’ve been a bit different
the ‘shorthand’ of the review: -the book was way too long -it would’ve been nice to get into other characters heads -this book should’ve been split into two parts -this story would’ve THRIVED if the characters had been poly
I was SO hyped on this release and then struggled to get through it. Definitely more of a summer read than a fall read. A+ for smut but I needed SOME plot! 🤣🤣🤣
this book is without a shred of plot. appreciated POV change near the end. tbh wouldn’t prob read the next one but it sounds like it’ll be a different POV than the first two so i will give it a go.
Three Doors: Beach House is the second book in the Three Doors Series. If you haven’t read the first book it is a MUST before you continue in this series. Having said that, I highly recommend the first book and you can find my review for that under the book. I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars, if you have read this book on other platforms it is not 100% the same book. J.L. Vanders has taken the time to add to the story, giving the characters more depth than the original version without taking away from the story that we originally loved. Each character has a little or a lot more depth than what we originally got to read, be prepared to be thirsty for the next book in the series!
J.L. Vanders asks that we don’t write any spoilers so I will only say that this book is hotter and dirtier than the original. If you are easily offended or aren’t open minded then this book is NOT for you! This is a book with a LOT of sex in it, if that is not your style no worries.
On the pepper scale, I put it at a Ghost Pepper! This will burn you up so good that you may take care of yourself and still need your significant other.
I hope this helps you find your next Tantalizing Tome!
I have been following this author and these books since Chapters. No matter how many times I read them I get sucked back in. When I started back to reading books again Decker became my first book boyfriend. I have read many books since then and have found many other book boyfriends, but Decker will always be #1 in my heart. The steam in this book is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and I would recommend Three Doors to everyone. Thank you for creating this word and these characters. I’m so happy to be a part of the Three Doors 🚪🚪🚪family!!! Here’s waiting for that fourth and final book.
Miss girl. Idk what you were thinking writing this, but you need to rewrite it.
Why tf are you writing 44 motherfucking chapters with 20+ pages each chapter about one fucking couple fucking every chapter????
Come on now. You did so good in the first one, what made you do this????
If you weren’t gonna write a novella, the least you could’ve done is either choose another couple to focus on or have multiple POVs EACH CHAPTER.
No one gives af about Callie’s repetitive ass feelings and hers and decks repetitive ass smut.
Like if you don’t give me Mia🙄😤😩
You also could’ve made it kinkier if you were gonna write this much.
Like make it NOT boring by allowing them to actually fuck the other characters. Make them a fucking poly for God’s sake.
I had such high hopes for your series ESPECIALLY bcuz I followed you from wattpad. But this… you should’ve stopped at book one of you were gone do this.
You had so many routes you could’ve taken this book and you decided to 1. Stick to one characters pov. 2. Focus on the problems of 1 couple. 3. Add in smut fillers that actually made the story more boring. 4. Not go to it’s kinkiest potentials. And 5. Drag it out.
J. L. Literally all u had to do was shorten the first 6 chapters to 1 chapter, and IMMEDIATELY go into the new three doors. The birthday celebrations were unnecessary and didn’t add any fun bcuz of how repetitive the smut turned out being. Not to mention bcuz they also wouldn’t cross a line, which made it boring sex.
I just feel like you could’ve made this into a good, steamy, kinky, fun, SHORT read, and you failed. Immensely.
Now idk if I’m gonna read your next 2 books. I’m disappointed.
I'm a Three Doors fan. I honestly am. Where the sequel lost a star for me was on a few things. Spoilers, sorta!
1. Plot was a bit lacking. The only main plot I can remember is that they're waiting for their grades (jeez, did the first book end so soon to this book?) and they plan a few birthday celebrations. If you're looking for a solid plot, this probably won't be for you. That doesn't make it BAD, just don't go into it expecting that.
2. The language is weird to me. I've never heard the phrase "f*cking with" in relation to things like making out, foreplay, teasing, etc. That's just a phrase that I've never heard used. Same with "strumming". I've literally NEVER heard that word used when talking about female masturbation. It just makes me think the author is from a different country than I am (the U.S.) and that's slang that used somewhere else? I don't know, but it dragged me out of the story a LOT. It happened in the first book as well - overuse of the phrase "my girls" or "my guys". "My girls did this" or "my girls that". Just over used and distracting.
3. This might be a personal thing, and I'll put it under a spoiler tag.
4. Deck seems too perfect. I was hoping there would be a bit of like, drama? Jealousy? A fight that lasted longer than 30 seconds?
5.
Idk, overall I liked it and I'll probably be reading the next book!
Another fantastic read in this series. I don’t want to say to much it’s good to go in blind to the specifics. This author’s writing is wonderful and I was obsessed while reading, I didn’t want to put it down. Don’t be intimidated since its a bit of a longer book because it is actually a very quick easy read.
*Make sure you read these in order as this one has spoilers for the end of book 1. There is no cliffhangers, no angst just some good times and a fun extremely steamy read.
Callie Shay Mia, Evan, Deck and Judge are even more wonderful in this book. I don’t know how the author does it, but she levelled up the relationships and friendships. Just like book 1 I loved the communication and support they shared. I loved seeing relationships deepen as the book went on.
I didn’t know how J would top the steam of book 1, but she did not disappoint. Although the majority of this book is spice, it did not lack for sweet moment, swoony bits, laugh out loud antics and friendship goals!
I highly recommend the series, books 1 & 2 are now available. Book 3 will be out soon! I also recommend this as a buddy read!
I have come to adore JL Vanders writing! She really knows how to capture the essence of a close knit group of friends! I have a close group of friends (not like that LOL) but all we do is throw jabs, banter, and show love all around! It really reminded me of my group of friends (minus the steam again).
And not only that, Vanders highlighted REAL concerns when dealing with new territories and boundaries. I loved that Callie was vulnerable a lot and really talked it out with everyone when something was on her mind. That shows serious trust and I loved how everyone was so supportive and judgment free!
This book takes place at the beach house with all new sorts of fun pairings. I loved the exploration of everyone and everything. I won't give anything away, but you will fantasize your own scenarios, guaranteed! This is a me thing, but I do wish the boundaries were crossed a little more but I still loved it regardless. Doesn't take away the story for me at all.
This is just as filled with romps as the first one, but like 2x that considering how long the book is haha! I had a great time and you will too with Callie and her friends!
I loved the first book so I dived right into this one because I wanted to see more about how these couples navigate this new world they created.... but it was literally 100% porn, 0% plot. That by itself isn't why I rated it the way I did, I felt it was way too long (over 500 pages of non stop porn lol) and the nicknames for certain body parts was a huge turn off. I was able to ignore them in the first book as the first book was shorter and had more plot. After reading the words peen, puss, lady garden, coochie for the thousandth time I was just skimming the last 20% of the book because they were ruining my reading experience. It's too bad as the spice was very well done!
If you are a fan of well done heavy spice and can disregard gross nicknames for body parts I highly recommend this book!
This author is something else, let me tell you. Her books will make you want to crawl inside her brain and roll around with all the magical and sexy filthiness that lives there. And I mean that in the BEST way. I’d like to think I’ve been there from the beginning, standing on the sidelines cheering like a maniac because JLV’s talent is phenomenal. Actually everything about her is phenomenal. She’s enriched my life in so many ways and I’m so thankful and blessed to be a fan.
I enjoyed bits of this book, but it was just sooooo long! I went in knowing it was going to be mainly porn, and that’s fine, but after a bit it got pretty boring and repetitive with sex scene after sex scene and not much else. I at least felt the first book had a bit of progression as the relationships developed and the game escalated. With this one, that build up happened quite quick, then after that it was just more of the same. I’d probably read the next one, but if it’s anything like this I imagine there’ll be a lot of skimming
I’m obsessed with this series. It’s straight up erotica, but has such a beautiful way of delivering it. There is so much open communication and trust in this book. This is book 2 in the series and it follows our favorite 6some. 3 guys and 3 girls, they’re all couple up but they all ‘play’ around with eachother and this book delves into the intricacies of opening a relationship, and for each couple it is completely different based on their individual codes of ethics and monogamy. It’s a feel good read.
Great part 2. The story is progressing well. The plot isn't lost in all the sex seeing as how most of the plot is the sex. Lol. Some of the lingo and words seem a bit juvenile, but I can say maybe it's just because they're comfortable enough with each other to let their childish sides flourish. I'm hoping book 3 is a nice conclusion and doesn't deter from the school and studying since they are medical students and all.
3.5 stars but I rounded up. Ok so I love the story and I love the character growth for most of them. But I CANNOT get past the adjectives used! I... it's too much! Otherwise the story is great, so spicy. Will I read the next one, abso-freaking-lutely because the spice is off the charts. I just wish the author used different descriptions
Wow! Just when I thought this series was good, it gets better! The adventures continue with these 6 friends but now with couples paired off at the beach! I was curious where it was going to go now that they each had a partner but they came up with a new three doors game in this book that spiced things up even further! This is a super super spicy book but so good!
I kind of stopped reading for a moment as it didn't hold my interest. I stopped months ago, thinking I will go back, but... I think it's time to admit that I won't. It was boring. Mechanical in descriptions. Lacking in personality department. Main characters are flat and behave like robots. Idea was ok, execusion not so much.
This one was much spicier than the first one- but I loved how the relationships that started in book one became more solid in this one. Not a TON of plot, but let’s be honest- I wasn’t reading for plot anyway
Thoughts: This book was even better!! I wasn’t sure where their friendship/ relationships would go but I’m sure glad I went to the beach house!! They all learn so much about themselves and why they actually love their partners. It’s super cute to watch them live together and have the summer of their lives. Also you have to know that there is some action as well!
Favorite character: I really learned to love Evan and Mia
There's a lot more action in this book compared to the first one for sure. What a ride it is! If you want a lot of smut then this is it right here...look no further. MFM,FFM,FF and MF action.
I finished the first book in this series in a few days so I expected this to be the same. This one took me a while to get through, although I knew what I was getting into I did expect a bit more plot and story line then what we got. I'd still recommend this series though!
This is even hotter than the first! It’s hard to review without sharing details, but I’ll just say it didn’t give me quite *everything* I wanted. Close, but stopped just a tiny— incredibly frustrating—bit short. Even so, I loved it.
