Ralph is a parrot who loves his people. One day, his people accidentally leave the window open. He misses them while they're at work all day, so he takes advantage of the window. Unfortunately, he can't get far and also no one is noticing him. But he notices something: a fire! And that's a word he knows! So he alerts people and saves the day.

Kinda enjoying this trip through my husband's childhood via these old books. :)

Some parts of the story are dated but Jack Kent's illustrations never get old.
