One of the most detailed astrology books about synastry! It goes way beyond the sun signs which I appreciate because our natal chart is packed full of so many differences between the signs. This book is a great tool to reference and I love the way that it is written. It’s easy to follow but very informative. I will be referencing this book often and recommending it to everyone.

This is a huge book filled with a lot of information. It's not for the faint of heart but for those who really want to dig deep and deepen their relationship with the people around them. It's not just about lovers but family and friendship and even interacting with co-workers.

This in-depth publication delves into the dynamics of the twelve zodiac signs, Aries - Pisces, and their interactions. Dossé Via guides us through the distinct characteristics of each sign, highlighting the nuances and shadows of their relationships in matters of love, career, family dynamics, and friendship.

I'm a Virgo and my partner is a Libra, and I learned so much about that combination through this book. Dossé-Via illustrates how Virg's reserved demeanor can initially throw off Libra's more outgoing and social nature, but if they take the time to get to know each other's love languages they can cultivate a harmonious and loving relationship. Through straightforward examples, she outlines the pros and cons of this duo (and all 78 zodiac sign combinations), making it clear how various signs can have moments of both harmony and conflict.

Dossé-Via's passion for astrology and her desire to get her readers to study and understand it beyond brash judgments is evident throughout this compelling narrative. From the moment I saw advertisements for this book, I knew I needed it! Dosse-Via writes in an accessible, passionate, and fun way that engages the spectrum of readers, from those with zero knowledge of astrology through to deeply studied astrology enthusiasts. This book is encouraging & challenging me think to think about love and compatibility through the lens of my lived experience, but also to zoom out and notice patterns & strengths already programmed into the blueprint of my astrological birth chart.I love the holistic approach to these topics that Signs & Skymates provides, and the way information is presented in an approachable, non-overwhelming way. The author also created a thoughtful accompanying deck and workbook, which I will be purchasing to help me organize the wealth & depth of understanding I've already been able to develop about myself and my journey in love and other relationships. As a Black woman, it's hasn't been easy finding astrology that speaks to my experience through the layered lenses of my identity. I am beyond grateful to have access to such important and inspiring astrology by an author who looks like me and understands the world in the context of 21st-century connection. Finally, this book is a fantastic complement to her affirmation and mantra album, "Dream with Dosse-Via" on music streaming platforms. The "Love Mantra" is included in the beginning of the book, and truly sets the tone for the entire reading experience.

It's taken me a little while to write this review, because I really had no idea how to cover the beauty, depth and wisdom of this book. Here goes:
Rarely, you'll find a gem of a book that immediately hits you with a thought: everything fell together perfectly for this to exist, and I'm so glad it did.
This is one such book. Trenou's unique ethnic positioning places her as a West African woman who has met (and been submerged in) Western spiritual and astrological landscapes, exploring, before journeying back to her (and indeed astrology's) roots. The blend of perspectives - or should I say broader perspective - that she brings to the table in terms of astrology, philosophy, West African (Yoruba) cultural/spiritual education, and indigenous acknowledgement... is incredible. The cool thing is, these gifts flow so naturally from her, because they (in so many ways) are her. She speaks naturally, confidently and lovingly in a book that feels gifted from the universe. Spacious, but packed with goodness. Warm, but very technical. Broad, but nuanced. Reading feels like a discussion with the coolest friend you could ever have. Signs and Skymates is a real treat, that as a fellow astrologer, I'm truly honored to have landed upon.

If you like reading about astrology or horoscopes, this is the ideal book for you because it gives really vast information and will be very helpful for beginners as well as others who already know something about astrology.

Signs & Skymates uses very easy language, so anyone reading will enjoy reading it. It talks about how astrology works and also goes into simple details.

The best thing about this book is how it explains zodiac signs and relates them to other signs in ways that go beyond stereotypes or fixed statements. It trains you step by step on how to study and interpret your own astrological chart, understand the planets, and, more importantly, how these things affect your life, relationships, and everyone else's.

The chapters are easy to follow; hence, the book is fun and easy to read. Even though astrology is a complex topic, I didn't feel confused at any point, which was refreshing!

I'll give this book my utmost recommendation as it's fun to read and easy to navigate.

Signs & Skymates by 'Dossé-Via Trenou is a must-read and let me tell you why. Yes, I want to know who my soulmate is (hint: it's often the person you see in the mirror, you just have to take the time to peel back the layers and accept and love yourself fully). Yes, I'm eager to check my compatibility with everyone I meet (I love astrology). Yes, I want to be able to read signs that the universe, spirit guides & angels want to send me. Yes, I want to dive into the detailed chapters and explanations all about my rising, moon, and sun signs (as well as all the main planetary positions). This amazing astrological compatibility book provided me with detailed answers and served as a guide to my questions. You can tell that Dossé is really passionate about her craft and that a lot of research went into this. She really poured out her astrology knowledge into a beautiful and organized book. I loved it. I knew this book was going to be fire, but it has surpassed my expectations. More than 700 pages of juicy, powerful, informative, vulnerable material. I mean, there’s a whole 174 page long chapter on the fundamentals of astrology, that right there is a book within a book.
Serious astrologers shy away from compatibility, when it’s what people tend to search for the most, but Dossé-Via took this challenge head on, and did so in such a masterful way. Focusing first and foremost on our relationship with ourselves, and then extending to how we relate to family, friends, coworkers and lovers.
Signs & Skymates is such a generous piece of work, and I wouldn’t dare expect any less than this from Dossé-Via, I honor you, queen!
