If you are looking for a fun, sci-fi male/male romance this book will be for you. I have read a couple of reviews on here, and I agree that it is unrealistic, but what sci-fi book is? I enjoyed it. I thought it was funny at times, and the chemistry between Yai and Tryl was pretty hot. To me there were some unanswered questions throughout the book. I would have liked to have had more details about the planet they were on, the customs they live by and so on, but for a light easy read it was enjoyable.
Yai is running for his life. He knows he crashed onto a mysterious planet were the beings there are covered with fur and have eyes that remind him of a cat. Otherwise, they are shaped like humans and have human behaviors. Yai's injuries from the crash has given him temporary amnesia. He doesn't know who he is or where he came from. When he is captured he is frightened until he meets his new owner. Even though he is still a little scared, he feels safer with his new master and feels an immediate connection with him.
Tyrl has been looking for someone to share his life with. Dominant by nature, he has never taken a slave before, but when he meets Yai he know immediately that the pretty fur-less man should be his. Tryl is very patient with Yai at times. He is never really forceful, and sets out to not only relax his slave, but emotionally bind him to him forever.
There were some sweet moments in this book. Yai has an innocent quality about him that is enduring at times. They have several obstacles they must work through. There is a language barrier and some misunderstandings they must work through. Plus the mystery of Yai's former life made the book pretty interesting.
There is some light BDSM play in this book. Some spanking and voyuerism and male/male sexual practices will make this offensive to some readers so beware.
I would give it 3.5 stars, but I'll bump it up to 4 because I liked Tyrl and Yai and their chemistry together.
