Overview of current trends in special education for K12 classrooms. Provides an overview of the U.S. court decisions and laws that guide special education, as well as the federally defined disabilities. With Universal Design for Learning as a framework, walks through various teaching strategies for working with students with various special education needs. As one new to this subject I found the content to be very helpful. However, the book is filled with various typos that is disappointed for a professionally edited textbook.
