Leaving the past behind is smart…
But when murder is involved, it isn’t always possible.
Alpaca farmer and amateur sleuth, Josephina Thompson, would be the first to admit that her ex is a force with which to be reckoned…but that doesn’t mean that he deserves to die.

When Jo gets the news that he has been murdered, all she wants to do is find the killer, but her plans are turned upside down when she realizes that someone is trying to frame her.

It seems as though the entire town knew about her relationship issues with him, and now all eyes are on her as the prime suspect in his murder.

It’s only by a sheer twist of fate that Jo keeps herself out of handcuffs, and now she has to figure out what’s really going on before the killer finds a new angle of attack.

It’s going to take cunning and expert sleuthing to crack the case before she ends up behind bars. Can she do it?

Entertaining mystery listening 🎶🔰

Another will written murder mystery family and friends relationships adventure thriller short story by Patti Benning (Homespun Crochet Cozy Mystery book twelve). Jo and Nick return to Jo's house finding Cole murdered on her front porch. The police investigation appears to be stalled but No continues looking around. Then going to the bakery pays off with the arrest of the killer. I would highly recommend this novella series and author to 👍 readers of mystery novels 👍🔰 looking for a quick read. Enjoy the adventure of reading 👓 or listening 🎶 to Alexa read books 📚. 2023 👒😊🏡💘

Another delightful addition to this series. The story was well written and the well plotted mystery was fun to try to solve. The characters have well defined personalities. The only negative was not enough alpaca time! A fun, quick read.

Even though her ex was a jerk, Jo sure didn't think he deserved to be murdered, especially where he was murdered. Even though she and Nick were clear, Jo still felt an obligation to prove this small town wrong for talking about her being a killer.

I had a pretty good idea of whodunit and enjoyed the showdown a lot. Another killer off the streets, and a new and exciting business for one of Jo's good friends. As always, I can't wait to borrow the next in KU.

Loved it

Wow this one really had me guessing. I had it narrowed down to two people, although I really didn't want it to be one that it was hinted at. So glad it turned out to be someone else.

Glad to be finally done with this series. For the most part, they are all good, although how one small town that previously had no crime to speak of, now has had 12 in a year & Jo has been a suspect 3 or 4 times I think. This book was pretty good, but I’m glad so finished the series.

delightful novel

I really enjoyed the series, it’s quite well written.
The people are enjoyable and so is the animals.
I just wish it took longer than an hour and 10 minutes to finish the book.

Sad to see it end

I have enjoyed this series immensely. I am so sad that I won't get to hear about Pearl and Mackie and Movie and all the other critters Jo has given homes.
