This is sort of like an oracle deck. The idea that the future is in the cards doesn't jive with me (I don't "get" tarot at all). BUT! I am a very visual person, and I like to find new ways of understanding my present circumstances.

This particular deck is wonderful! It has, of course, a bunch of suggested layouts with intended meanings, but I just do things my own way. The thing I like about it so much is that it has different categories: Helpers, Animals, Places, and Tools. I love using these metaphors to understand things more intuitively and creatively.

And the biggest bonus: The cards are ROUND! Oh, and they are so much fun. I really like this deck.

As hokey as the text that came with these cards was, the imagery used in the cards themselves was actually pretty culturally relevant. They are good for divination, or simply for introspection and playing around with ideas. The art and format of the cards is also quite interesting. The circular shape makes you want to play with them and turn them every-which-way. This is a very approachable deck. If you're a history nerd, just avoid the text that comes with it and enjoy the well done cards.
