Clinical Concepts of Disease Processes, 6/e is a comprehensive textbook with a traditional focus and presentation of content. It uses a body-system approach to studying diseases and integrates basic science with clinical practice, focusing on the alterations in biologic processes that affect the body's equilibrium. Since the content is not specific to nursing, the text can be used in biology and allied health departments as well as nursing. Price/Wilson has had a loyal following of users since publication of its first edition. Favorite features are readability, shorter, more focused chapters, and end-of-chapter study questions.
We used a different textbook for school. A professor loaned me this book because it has a better section on aging. It was a helpful supplemental volume. My instructor ended up giving me this book because she rarely used it. I really liked the sections on leukemia and lymphoma, degenerative processes, and autoimmunity.
