A beautifully crafted dark tale with a wonderful build-up of tension and interweaving storylines. With well-rounded and realistic characters and high stakes that keep the pages turning, I really can't recommend this book enough.

Right. How do I summarise this gripping story without major spoilers????
Firstly, a thanks to @rob_loveless for giving me a copy to review!
An Ancient Greek mortal chasing immortality. A modern day CEO. A gruesome murder. Dead end investigations. The kidnapping of children. All these events collide in a gripping story that follows Adrian through a hectic time at work, alongside his tense marriage. Forever chasing perfection, Adrian is pushing his family away.
Thanatos, following the advice of the Fates is seeking revenge on Zeus and seeking his rightful place on tops of Mount Olympus.
It’s too difficult to explain how these worlds collide without spoilers. But this is so worth the read. There were plenty of incorrect guesses on my part about what was going to happen. One major twist I never saw coming, and an incredible wrapping up of this murderous mystery.
Honestly though, after this I want a Lorna and Scott spin off 😂

Oof this book left me with chills. A very spooky, psychological thriller, I could not put this one down.
Loveless has crafted a beautiful dark world with rich fully developed characters. Each character fulls fully formed and leaps off the page.
I really hope we get a sequel to this one. I'm definitely going to need a nightlight after finishing this book though.

The psychological thriller was so nuanced with its parallels to Greek mythology. It was like Madeline Miller meets Stephen King. Such a clever story.
