The Obvious Truth That Is Hidden

Rate this book
This book is an attempt to connect science, spirituality and our existence as to why we are here. Many masters, gurus, thinkers, scientists and philosophers have tried to convey to the world their own understandings of life, its purpose, this existence and the Universe. It is as it is.. is the final interpretation. But what can we do.. is why this book is attempted, to try to define and answer the deep questions one has. Questions, whose answers are varied largely and there always was a point of view put forward. What to take and what not to is up to the reader.. but the intention is to create clarity of the thought process. And better it further, so someone else can be enlightened or for that matter relieved with the answers to life’s difficult questions.

This book does not claim anything. It does not impose anything. It does not even tell anything. The author has shared her views, her experiences and lessons that she has gathered from various sources. Chethana (pseudonym) has written in plain and simple English. Anyone can understand her sentences. She talks about soul, spirituality, religious views, Hinduism in particular, prayers, Gods, need for peace in life, goals and how to achieve the same, understanding the purpose of being alive and continue, how to cope with sorrows and sadness in life... so on and so forth. Things are easy to understand and fun to read. There are interesting stories that you may like and extract the lessons for your life from the same.

"When you are in okayness with everything around.. each and everyone is okay too.. when you don’t accept, are against it, refuse it.. everything around too is disturbed!"

As simple as that! Read it once. If you like, read it again and try to put yourself in various situations described in the book. The author has done well. Yes, the narrative needs a brush, here and there. Do get your copy... well-done by Chethana, overall! :)

This book by Chethana is a result of her own experiences, learnings, observations, and overall evolution of her as a better human being who understands the world around her. It is true that evolution begins only after a heart-breaking incidents in life. It too happened with the author and after the life-curdling incident of her life, she began her journey on the path of enlightenment. In this book, she has quoted various stories from our great scriptures, excerpts of talks of famous philosophers, and cited teachings of many saints and authors. There is so much you will want to remember after finishing it and this will make you pick this book up at odd times and leafing through it. You’ll find a page and read something, and it will resonate. The author has explained everything so simply and logically.

This is a book that helps you explore your inner self. Though the experiences of the author are personal in nature, it still helps the readers gauge situations in life and learn how to respond to certain triggers, responses and situations. I admire the honesty of the author in acknowledging the sources she has learnt things from. An ideal book for readers who want to explore the spirituality path but don't know where to begin, what to ask for and what to expect...

In short, this book simplifies the process of understanding spirituality and meanings in religious pursuits. One can use this book as a guide when deciding to walk on the path of self-exploration and awakening. What is soul? What is truth? What is life? What should be the purpose of life? There are many things that this book answers. The author has done an overall impressive work in her debut book. Readable, enjoyable and there are many things to learn from this book. Aesthetically, the book could have had a better outlook, presentation and style of the narrative. The content is superb, idea behind the book is also wonderful. Do read it once and you will have a change of heart about many things.

This book does the job of providing impetus to the readers and set them free on the path of seeking truth, vision, light and knowledge. The author has shared her personal and spiritual journey in this book and hopefully it connects with the readers well. I learnt many new things by reading this book that, in turn, draws its motivation from the words of other seekers, Gurus, philosophers and men and women of intellect.

As the author has rightly put it in the introduction to her book, this is an attempt to connect science, spirituality and religion. There are many threads that connect these concepts and once you start reading the thoughts of the author, you will realise how wonderfully the writer has been able to do so. By telling stories, by offering instances from the chest of our history, by taking references from the vast body of myths, the author has been able to help the readers understand life, vision, goals, and the world, the cosmos and why things happen – in short, many things that come to our mind.

The Book is a journey... like the author's journey herself. Chethana has written with inputs from various sources and she has been successful in accumulating them all and bringing a fine balance in her personal opinions. This is a book that will help the readers understand many things about spirituality, life, aim in life, cause of events, nature of life and much more. I realised that the book does connect with our thoughts very naturally because the author has been very personal, connecting, communicating and easy and simple in her approach. She has quoted various persons, seekers and masters, Gurus, religious books and enlightened beings to prove her points, offer opinions and suggest new ways. Do read it once and you will realise how good this book is.

This was a curious read to me... I just went with the flow of the book. Yes, it was a little clumsy to follow the author's randomness in the beginning, with time, it became familiar and I truly liked what I read in the book. It makes the journey on the path of truth easier for many people. Just read it, enjoy, learn and understand what the author has to say about her experiences, expectations, realisations and reality.

The book starts with bitter experiences of author's life and moves on to answer some serious questions which trouble each one of us. For instance, what is soul? From where does it enter in our body? Where is soul located? What is karma? Do our past karmas affect our present lives? What is the theory of reincarnation? Is karma real thing? What is Freewill? Is freewill an illusion? Can we actually exercise freewill? How does freewill affect society? Chethana has very well tried to answer these and many other questions in simple words. She, with her experience and knowledge, has gone in the depth of everything to present a simplified version of most tough questions of life. Do read this book guys.

It is a wonderful debut by the author. She has artistically turned her personal experiences into something that the readers would love to read, relate to and share. The book follows a path that is often followed by practical seekers who turn to occasional spirituality in their lives but cannot move further because the way is complex. For all such individuals out there, the book by Chethana will be very helpful. Spirituality and religious remedy for all... that's the thing this book does!

Another spiritual read on my journey of self-realisation! This one is really great and truly helpful. I got to know many things from this. What is so powerful about this book is not that there is much new material here. We’ve all heard about how our past hold us back, keeps us hooked to pain, suffering and misery. The difference is in how the author explains her points. I just loved it! Wouldn’t you love it if all the stuff you have read about enlightenment suddenly became crystal clear? I know, after reading this book, you all will agree with me. This is all about this wonderful book.

The author has summarised the purpose of writing this book wonderfully in her introduction – What to take and what not to is up to the reader.. but the intention is to create clarity of the thought process.

I admire the honesty and the simplified style in which she has written all these chapters in the book. The book does not bombard the readers conscious with ideas like many self help books do. You will have the independence to choose, analyse and accept or reject the ideas that this author shares. Moreover, the book is truly a help book for the beginners who often get in front of questions of the fundamentals when discussing spirituality and religion.

Every spiritual journey has some things in common. The first and foremost are the questions that we raise and seldom have answers to solace. This book will help those who are seeking truth and want some help. Chethana comes to help those who begin questioning their existence, purpose of life and goal and vision. The book has many fundamental questions answered albeit by referring to other sources. You will find questions like realising your journey is a soul's journey, then what? What are Mantras? How to use Mantras in life? What is patience and how its important? How to deal with stress and sorrows in life? Many things more. Read it and you will find it worth your time, simple to read and very much relatable.

Totally worth your time... totally a worthy read! You will enjoy this book because it brings fresh perspectives about life, the world, the people around and everything about life. It may be a personal subject for the author as she has written about her experiences in life and how these turned her on the path of spirituality and philosophically looking for truths. There is much to read and more to explore. It's about anyone's journey inward and how the process unfolds. Many interesting stories are also there from the ancient scriptures, and also things from the great treasure of Hinduism. Do read it.

This is a very short, precise and a kind of guide book for all those who want to understand themselves, the world, the people around, situations arising in life and how to continue the journey amidst hope, despair, sorrows, happiness and many other emotions. The author has written about herself, what she has learnt and what she did. And still, this will be a book that helps the readers relate to the conditions described and gather something for themselves. Spiritual? Yes. Full of knowledge, even more.

This book is about the inward journey of a person, starting from the scratch. Its essence lies in the fact that nothing is outside, all is within. Simple and straight! However, to understand this simple and straight thing we spend our lives and then to it is not sure whether we will understand this simple and strange thing. Chethana has explained this in her book. This book is so irresistible that I wanted to complete it in a single stint, but the wisdom this book offers is so vast, so I convinced myself that I complete this book at my own pace and will revisit it from time to time to be in pure bliss. Recommended.

"This book is an attempt to connect science, spirituality and our existence as to why we are here."

The writer has truly taken a Barbarikean task upon herself. However, she has excelled at her vision. The book has wonderful stories that will make you understand many complex questions of spirituality and religion. Chethana has wonderfully depicted her experiences in the book and that can be related to anyone who reads the book. We all want to know the truth, truths and the obvious truth as well. However, the presentation of the aesthetic parts in the book have to be better. The author should bring a second edition of the book that's properly formatted and guided, chapters should be evenly distributed and ideas should fruit into narratives. I wish her the best. And even in this form, the book is worth your time. Do read it.

By sharing her personal experiences and showing a way out to the readers, the author has been successful in telling her readers what, how, when, how much and how long of the spiritual journey. Why one should chant mantra? What is the significance of mantras? Einstein, Heisenberg, Quantum physics, science, super science, and many other material things come into play in this non-fiction book and Chethana has tried to relate these with the age-old practice of spiritual seekers. Her writing may be random and spontaneous, however, the content is wonderful. A good book to read once. And learn always! Seeker to another seeker.

Wonderful book... that's an amazing writing exhibition at display by Chethana who has written in details about the basics we face when we begin realising our existence, purpose of life, understanding of the universe etc. There is too much to do with this life but we seldom know where to begin. In such cases, the ideas that Chethana has shared in the book will help the readers channelling their energy in a positive, productive and result-oriented direction.

The book might offer very little that we can call new. However, the way of offering things and perspectives to the readers is certainly new, refreshing and worthy of one's time. The author has tried to relate things to each other, science, philosophy, life, vision, goals, enlightenment, awakening, soul, seeking truth etc. You will get stories from the life of the author and words by others who have achieved something great in life already. You will also read stories from the ancient Hindu scriptures and history of our country. And, to be honest, there is much to learn from a new perspective. That's why I liked the book.

This is one of the best books that I have read in recent months. I have been reading spiritual and philosophical literature for a while now. However, this one demands special scrutiny because it has elements that will help the readers who are just beginning to understand the existence, the world, the spiritual journey, life, philosophy, religious views and much more. I enjoyed reading opinions of the author, Chethana, and her personal experiences. She has suffered a lot and turned to a different road altogether. And now she is making walking that road convenient for her readers. Kudos to the author!

This book does what it promises to do in the very beginning. It connects science, philosophy, seeking truth and so on. The author has wonderfully amalgamated her experiences, opinions, faith, exploration and scientific analysis in the process of writing this book. Readers will get something of everything that is required to begin the early stages of spiritual exploration of life – soul, existence, truth, life, purpose, vision, world, family, relationships, absolute truth, Maya and many other things find space in the content of the book. Simple words, plain writing, effective arguments loaded with examples that help the readers connect with the flow of the book.

Chethana's book is intended to be a guide for day-to-day living and stresses the importance of living in the present moment and welcomes wholeheartedly whatever comes to you. Because everything that happened in your life has a purpose attached to it. So never questions, just accept. Another thing which I like to mention about this book is, like every self-help books, especially written by Indian authors, this book too states the quotes of Mahabharata and Ramayana and teachings of Gita. I truly love this book.

This is a book that simplifies the complex tenets of spirituality and philosophy that one seeks to turn to as soon as one thinks beyond materialism and moving towards an internal exploration. The author has tried her best to simplify the concepts like soul, vision of life, motives in life, moving through religious lanes while walking towards enlightenment and understanding the importance of mantras and their impact on life. The book is interesting and it does offer fresh perspectives into life... enjoy reading it.

Game-changing for those who want to experience peace, spiritual awakening, or just want time out and think about life from various perspectives. The world is not very much help when you want to dive inside your own self and experience things alone. This book by Chethana will help you understand the basics of such experiences, answers to the questions that may arise and also many concepts that we cannot discuss with people around in general. The book is help for beginners.

This book is simply the summum bonum of everything that the author has read, studied and learnt about life, spirituality, philosophy and existence of human beings. She has tried to bring everything together and offer it in the form of a book. The attempt is indeed praiseworthy and worth the time of the readers who like reading nonfiction books in a while. All the best!
