She'd been a vampire hunter, one of the best. Whisky had been raised to kill the monsters who preyed on humans, but when she's mortally wounded, a vampire changes her, and she learns that all she knew about vampires was wrong; they're not evil or monstrous. She takes off to deal with the legacy of murder she's lived by. The fact that the vampire who converted her (with the ridiculous nickname of Lord) seems to be one of the kindest, most spiritual people she's ever met, and sexier than anyone she's ever seen, pisses her off. She's not prepared to forgive him for destroying everything she's ever known.
Settled in New Zealand, she's found some small level of peace, though guilt will haunt her for the rest of her days. Then her sire shows up to ask for her help in taking down a dangerous hunter she'd worked with. To seek redemption, she agrees, and begins to hunt again, only this time, she's the vampire and her prey is human.
This is an unexpected offshoot in the Vampire Sisters Trilogy that brings our beloved characters from the trilogy back in a special Hunter's edition. Vampires aren't monsters, but as Whisky discovers, they are far too enticing for someone who just wants to forget that they exist. Lord help her.

Whiny
While I understand the psychological childhood trauma that grows into adulthood. The self deprecation, the not having a conversation to express your thoughts and to explain your decisions through out the entire 10 chapters of this book was ridiculous! This book could have ended 2 chapters prior, but no back in forth I want you but can’t have you, go find your mate. Was just sickening. And who edits these books? Whoever does should be fired!!!!

Happy new years to me!
Happy new years to me!! Two amazing books in a row! I would rate both books a ten out of five, with five the best!! I am so happy! Another book that I couldn't put down!! C.L. Quinn. Is another amazing author. As is Cynthia Eden! I'm onto another book now that I missed coming out. It also is by C.L. Quinn. I bet I'll make it three in a row! What a wonderful read!!!

High octane!!
Terrific read about Lord and Whiskey's story. Characters and storyline are awesome. Love those First Bloods, together they rock.
