God Is Math: How to cope with the inevitable.

I am sure many of you downloaded this book to instantly criticize or to accuse me of trying to knock your faith, I am not, nor am I trying to insult you. Despite the bold title that will more than likely spark outrage with the diehard religious folks who will probably never actually read my book if you can call it that. I am instead going to try and explain how I am attempting to come to terms with my existence. So why are we here and what is the reason for our existence? It is the eternal question that many before have asked and many more will ponder over for years to come. Like many of you out there my job is not the most interesting, I work 8 hours a day on weekdays and sometimes pick up extra shifts from another seasonal job on the weekends. It is the same repetitious thing over and over. There is not much time for activities as the 8 hour day become closer to a 10 hour day after commuting and lunch. There is one upside to the long days and mindless tasks, I have become an amateur philosopher. I don’t know how many countless hours I have spent thinking about my passions and desires, goals and aspirations and even my overall significance and death. I wonder about the point of it all and often listen to others feeling on the topic, I never try to incite the almost taboo conversation of faith except with a few of my trusted friends some of which are deeply religious. I often get a chance to hear other peoples opinions on it and if someone asks me I will usually just say I am not that religious, much easier to explain than my current views on the subject. The people who are deeply religious often talking about their faith in gods plan, praying and miracles as well as the atheists who say there is no god and look down on all who say there is. I guess I am right in the middle, I don’t agree with either nor do I feel like siding with one or the other. I want to take a step back try to take in as much information I can and make my own decision on the topic and I hope you can too.
