Deadly Daddies #1

Stabby Little

Rate this book
It was a mistake to get involved with my son's best friend.

Seven years ago, my son's best friend Ollie vanished. I searched for him for years but I never found him. Despite what the FBI told me, I never gave up.

When he shows up to my house unannounced, I don't know how to react. He's a legal adult now and exactly like the boy I used to know. Yet there's a dark side to Ollie now, one I can't ignore.

His eyes are the same shade of blue as the boy in the mask I've been meeting up with at a local club. And he's the same height as the anonymous killer my Mafia bosses are ordering me to hunt.

When Ollie confesses he's on a mission to murder my bosses, I don't know if I should put a bullet in his head... or become his Daddy.

Stabby Little is a 100,000-word MM Mafia Daddy romance with an age gap, morally gray characters, stuffies, cuddles, playdates, snarky banter, gratuitous violence and a guaranteed HEA. It is a spin-off from Aster Rae's bestselling Italian Protectors trilogy but can be read as a standalone.

Done

I just can't. I can't even keep going with these characters. The level of ridiculous, ugh. No. Just no no no no no. If it came out that Aster was punking the community with these books I would absolutely believe it. They either spend no time researching anything or simple don't care about the believability of the details or how things work. So disappointing because the premise of the stories are awesome and in general I like the characters, but the writing needs to heavy editing.

Too much and not enough

This book has too much, too many characters to keep track of, too much insight into other characters story lines, too many POV's, and too many mistakes.
It didn't focus enough on the 2 main MC's. There wasn't enough stabby in Ollie for me, and Grant seemed like a major pussy to be a hitman.
It took forever for the 2 MC's to figure out their secrets, the book was almost over before they put it all together.
Ollie I liked as an MC but could have been more of. a pyscho if you asked me. But the author did F some stuff up, example he made it too blurry with his contacts at the wedding yet was able to clearly sketch the brothers?
Grant I didn't really care for. He seemed pretty dumb. Couldn't pay off his sons debt yet had bank accounts that made him 50k a month?
The worst I think was when he did find out what happened to Ollie and who was behind it, he needed to find evidence first? Ollie, the boy who lived through it for 7 years, basically confirmed it and yet him and Jagger were still second guessing taking them down.
I loved the plot but the execution didn't do it for me.

The premise was interesting but the book did not deliver. Very confusing with too many characters and weird mafia shit that didn't make sense. Rich guy can't pay debt and worries about paying for his son's college? But he's rich? Then there's a daddy kink club and hidden identity. Everyone is killing everyone and somehow getting away with it even though these are the worst criminals ever. What is happening?!

The MCs didn't even meet until over 30% in!

And the dialogue is so stilted and unnatural which is the worst crime.

disappointed

To be honest I’m disappointed, I love Aster Raes work usually and was so looking forward to this .

However it feels rushed, the continuity is off and there’s mistake after mistake. It needs beta reading at least . Sadly I couldn’t take anymore and did not finish.

Very disappointed

Stabby Little by Aster Rae is the first book in the Mafia Killers series. Ollie was taken one day seven years ago and abuse. He’s not the same little sweet boy that Grant remembers. Grant has searched for seven long years for Ollie. Ollie has kind of been under his nose the whole time. Stabby Little is somewhat darker that what the author usually writes. Ollie and his friends Finn and Sparrow have escaped and are all free to do what they want. Ollie wants to take his revenge. The three of them make a fantastic found family. But there is humor, sweetness, heat and steam and within the story. As usual we get a visit from all the Littles at Little Land, that might be one of my favorite things, how we get a visit from all the boys. The scenes from the Little Bunny Club were pure fire! Overall, a fantastic start to a new series. Well written with pacing that kept me engaged and hooked into the story.

This is honestly the worst book I’ve ever read.
It doesn’t make sense. Characters learn info and then in the next scene they’ve forgotten it again. Nothing adds up. And the characters can’t see things that are right in front of their faces.
It’s not realistic at all.
The plot is bad.
And the sex is worse.
It takes a lot to make me uncomfortable, and this really did.
I wish I could give this book a 0. I don’t know how people are giving this book a 5.

READ NOW

When I tell you that I INHALED this book, trust me. I did.

Holy f’ing shhhhh…

This book.

This f’ing book!

I went into it thinking that it would be more enemies to lovers like - and I didn’t want to read an enemies to lovers D/l book… but I went with my gut and started this book.

I am so happy I did. It was so hard-hitting and sad, yet sweet and funny.

I absolutely adore the relationship that the boys all have with one another and I’m gonna be the FIRST in line to read Jagger and Sparrow’s book. I hope we get some hints in that book about Finn’s story too.

Ollie was the most precious psychopath ever. He wrapped me around his finger.

Grant spent his whole life looking for Ollie and his determination was so uplifting.

Before I read this, I read the free novella on the authors website which goes into a lot more detail on what happened in the warehouse with Ollie and his friends. It really helped set the mood for this book.

- MM
- kinks; D/l, stuffy kink, murder kink?!?
- friends whose love language is touch (innocent and sexual)
- Found family
- psychopath, hitman, mafia, killers, murder, torture, revenge
- TW’s; sex trafficking, sexual assault, on page rape, trauma

I loved every single word of this story so much. I’m shocked at how many emotional times there is in the beginning and how it connected with each character and how they felt love with their own lives and together found happiness.

Absolutely horrible. If I never read another title by this author, it will still be too soon.

There is a disclaimer in the beginning of the book that all the characters are over 18, BUT a) barely and b) there is a lot of memories and reminiscing where the boys are definitely not of age and yet the context is making it titillating rather than horrifying which is a HUGE NO NO...
The kink depicted in itself brings up imagery that is problematic - nothing against the actual kink among consenting adults - but in the context of the book, this just didn't sit well with me, and trust me, I am not squeemish when it comes to smut, and this nearly made me crawl out of my skin.

This is a spinoff from the author's other series but it can be read as stand alone. But like always, it is more enjoyable if you read the previous series since the characters do have cameos. And the books are also really enjoyable 😁
Ollie suffered so much at such a young age. But now he's free and is executing his revenge against those that hurt him. And boy do they deserve it. He also tries to reconnect with the one who he always dreamed about, dreams that gave him strength to survive the hell he was in. Grant's world is blown apart when he discovers that the people he has known have been hiding hideous secrets. But together their world became a world of second chances, love, steam (so hot), and healing.
It had me seating at the edge of my seat in suspense waiting for the secrets to be revealed, the good and the bad. The twists and turns left me open mouthed. I cried, screamed, got mad, laughed, and cheered. I really despised Michael and can't wait for Karma to catch up with him. And I hope it's in the next book, lol, which I really need. Sparrow also deserves healing. And Finn, can't wait to discover who his Daddy will be.

Ollie was taken 7 years ago, put in a caged and constantly abused until escape was possible. Now he is free, 18 years old, a Little and working his way through a list to kill his abusers. He prefers playing with knives and shooting guns over stuffies and cuddles. Then he discovers that his best friend's Dad who is 48 years old and who he has loved for seven years has been working for his abusers. Now he is torn - his gut says to kill him but his heart says to make him his Daddy.

I enjoyed this story with the mystery of Ollie, the working through the list of abusers, the way that he found Grant and the torment of what to do with him, the Littles and their interactions and relationships. This was an MM story containing BDSM-like behaviours with DDLB. There is a guaranteed HEA. This story follows and involves the characters from the Italian Protectors trilogy

Little Kitty and Mafia Daddy

There's so much that happens in this book it's a bit like a rollercoaster ride.
Ollie escapes from a sex trafficking ring with two other boys.
He's determined to hunt out his abusers and seek revenge.
The only light in his darkness is remembering his childhood best friend's Dad, Grant and how dreams of him kept him going in the warehouse.
Grant is an underling for a Mafia boss.
He's spent the last seven years investigating Ollie's disappearance.
There are dual identities, secrets, violence, lots of Littles, sexy Daddies, kink and fun.
The sex scenes are hot in the present, obviously and fair warning there's a lot of content about what happened to the kidnapped boys.
I loved connections to the other Littles and Daddies in other books I've read by Aster Rae.

Thoroughly enjoyed, longer than her normal stories but well worth reading.
Ollie was kidnapped seven years ago and used in a sex dungeon. When he escaped the one thing that kept him going was his best friend dad Grant.
Grant had been looking for Ollie for seven years, it had broken his marriage up, but he refused to give up.
When Ollie escaped he wanted revenge on the men who hurt him.
Ollie and Grant met at The Little Bunny Club , but both wore masks therefore did not recognize each other . But thoroughly enjoyed each others company.
A trip to Little Land brought all the littles together
A lot darker than her usual books but just as good .
A must read

Dark and twisted

Aster Rae promised a darker mafia story and this definitely delivered. Ollie rivals even the most cruel mafia bosses. He is hungry for revenge and will do anything to make the Diavolo's pay for what they did. Grant never stopped searching for his son's childhood best friend. But when his boss starts demanding he forgets about Ollie, the wheels start turning and Grant starts wondering what his boss really does. I liked that Ollie was finally able to embrace his little side. And I loved that he dressed up as a sassy kitten for his sexy stranger at the club. Grant has a dad bod and I liked that he stood up for his beliefs. This had plenty of plot twists and surprises. I can't wait for the next book.

Aster Rae has taken the time to relax and spread out in this book and the result is a wonderful mix of tropes - son's best friend, mafia hit men and revenge and Daddy/little. When his son's friend Ollie disappeared, Grant never stopped hunting for him. Now, Ollie's back (or has he been back in Grant's orbit for a while) and he's been irrevocably changed by what he's endured. He's on a mission and he and Grant have to decide if they can be together considering what each has sworn to do. There is steam, wit and banter here but also darkness and hard choices. A superb beginning to a new series.

A Trip To The Dark Side

This is the 3rd series I've read by Aster Rae and they just get better and better. Ollie has escaped the warehouse with Sparrow and Flynn and now they're out to kill the Diavolo's and anyone who is a part of the human trafficking ring. He's never forgotten Grant, his bff's dad, who he imagines rescues him and treats him better than his own Dad ever did. So many twists, turns, and kinky sex in this book but proceed with caution and read trigger warnings. Daddies and their littles from previous series crossover for more fun. Next up is Sparrow and Jagger.

Being kidnapped and caged at a young age has changed Ollie. Now that he has gained his freedom, he is on a mission to seek his revenge.
On his list is the man who never came to rescue him, his best friends father, Grant.

A plot full of action, some danger, humour, steamy scenes and adorable littles with their Daddy’s. This is an entertaining start to this new spin off series from the author. Definitely worth a read.

This was a twisted Daddy/Little tale and it was good! It couple times I got thrown off because I thought the characters had already realized or figured out something and then they were doing it again but a little differently a chapter or two later.

Overall it was a good read with characters that have been through a lot and deserve to give even more then what they got!

It is filled with action, deceit, realizations, revenge and by the end so much love! It even had some playful moments that were steamy!

I look forward to reading the next book!

Just wow. This book is about Ollie and Grant. Ollie was taken and held for 7 years before escaping. Grant is the father of Miles, Ollie’s best friend. Grant never stopped looking for Ollie. When Ollie shows up at Grant’s house, that’s when things started coming out and the MCs getting together. Loved it and recommend. Cannot wait for the next one. I received a copy of this book for my review.

loved it

I always love these kind of dark books where the morale compass isn’t so black and white. Because in reality nothing is black and white and we all try to live in a world where everything is perfect but in truth there is so much darkness that surrounds us. Thank you for giving us a touch of both I loved it.

Different

No black and white, good and bad here. All gray, morally emotionally, spiritually. This was a very interesting story. It took a little too long to get to what we all knew was coming. Good character development. How can you root for two hitmen? Read this book and find out.

This one was okay. Longer than most, but it felt Hort because I was so enraptured. I literally did not take a single break and read this entire book through. But honestly, after all those hours (like 3 haha), the ending felt a bit anticlimactic.
This one didn’t blow my mind but it was still pretty good. I’m a sucker for ddlb and mafia tropes so I would recommend.

This is a new mafia series by Aster Rae and it came out swinging. I love books by this author and this one did not disappoint at all, it's got age gap, son's best friend, and daddy/little. I can't wait to see where the series goes from here.

Aster did it again! This book gripped me from the first page and I was bummed when it ended. Ollie has been through so much and his need for revenge is strong. As for Grant he never ever stopped looking for Ollie. Watching their discoveries and relationship evolve was delightful.

This well crafted tale reveals the power of unconditional love amidst the terror of human trafficking and the heartbreak of betrayal. What will it take for Grant and Ollie to enjoy a lasting relationship?

Interesting story and I loved the characters, especially Ollie.
Honestly, could have been about 200 pages shorter if it didn’t keep repeating itself.
It felt like every chapter started with a BMW or a taxi grinding to a halt…

DNF.

Just wanted to mention that how ridiculous is that there are only 2 kind of people in this universe of this book: the young boys who want no one but a big meaty daddy and the older ones who obviously want only a twink boy.

It was like they were not all men but 2 different species!! It was boring and cringy at the same time.

Also, too many (similar) characters really made me bored so I just stopped reading eventually.
