I've read several of the books in this series and this book certainly didn't disappoint! Author Dana R. Lynn gives readers another edge-of-your-seat thriller that's filled with twists, turns, and so many questions needing to be answered. I was especially intrigued by the heroine of Crime Scene Witness because she works as a crime scene cleaner. Can you imagine having to clean where a vicious crime had been committed? What if you actually knew the person who had been killed?

Lynn kept me fully engaged in Deputy US Marshal Micah Bender's struggle to keep Lissa Page safe after she became the target of someone labeled the Birthday Card Killer. Danger and suspense are keys to this story but I was especially touched by Micah and Lissa's efforts to overcome the hurts from their past. Their journey includes a wonderful faith message that's subtly woven throughout the plot.

This exciting addition to the Amish Country Justice series offers another chance to catch up with the Bender family, but don't worry if you haven't read the others. Crime Scene Witness is definitely a standalone novel and I highly recommend it to all who enjoy romantic Christian suspense.

I received a copy from the author and publisher. There was no obligation or a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

Crime Scene Witness is written by Dana R. Lynn. This is part of the Amish Country Justice Series but can be read as a stand alone story. This is Micah Bender’s story. We met him Her Secret Amish Past and I was so excited for him to get his own story. In true Dana R. Lynn fashion you will be taken on a wild adrenaline pumping ride when you start reading.

Lissa Page is a single mom. She also is deaf and cannot hear without her cochlear implants. She’s a crime scene cleaner and she is called to the scene of her friends murder. However the killer has now set Lissa in their sites.

Micah is a Deputy US Marshal who is investigating murders that have happened during the victims birthday month. He finds out about the new murder and arrives just in time to save Lissa from being the next victim. They then find themselves constantly on the run and trying to stay two steps ahead.

The book is well written. I love the fact the author created a character who was deaf. There are also a bunch of twists and turns associated with this story. I always love reading this authors books.

Thank you to the author and publisher for allowing me to read a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

A quick read that carries a powerful punch as Ms Lynn is exceptional at telling a story that captures your attention from page one. This is another book in the Amish Country Justice series but can easily stand on its own. I was glad to see Micah have his own story and Lissa was the perfect character for him to protect. I can’t imagine being a crime scene cleaner especially if the victim was someone you knew. Lissa is a brave and strong single mother and I admire her tenacity. Shelby was adorable and I wanted to protect her from all the nonstop attacks aimed at her mother. It was a pulse pounding read that had me on the edge of my seat. You will not want to put this down as I found it intriguing. A must read.
I received a complimentary copy from the author. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.

Crime Scene Witness captured my attention and kept the suspenseful momentum throughout the book.
As a crime scene cleaner, Alissa Page, deaf without her cochlear implants, has plenty of experience, but this case puts a target on her and her daughter’s backs when she unknowingly discovers a clue at the crime scene of a murder. With the killer still lurking, he knocks her out and leaves her to die.
Deputy US Marshal Micah Bender arrives and finds unconscious Alissa on the crime scene floor. After the ambulance arrives and she awakens, she asks why she’s on a stretcher. Micah realizes she’s lost her memory. Now it’s up to him to investigate the murder and keep her and her child safe.
Will Alissa’s memory return in time to expose the identity of the murderer before she becomes his next victim? Will Micah be able to find a safe place for her and her little girl?

Dana's done it again. Got the book on Saturday, started reading on Sunday, finished it Sunday.
Dana really knows how to get someone's attention and keep it. When I first started reading this great book. I had trouble, I thought that Alyssa was Amish to begin with. That tripped me up. After getting into the book, I found the truth. I always get to the point where I want to see how it ends, but this time, I didn't stop to look, I just kept reading.

I can't wait for Dana's next book.

Thank you in advance to the author, Dana R. Lynn, for providing a complimentary review copy through her review group. A positive review was not required nor requested, and all words are my own.

First of all – my apologies to the author for the late review. I got this book a few months ago, and due to being a 24/7 caregiver to my mother, as well as spending three weeks on bed rest due to being sick – a lot of reading and reviews were neglected.

So, the late the review is NO reflection on the author or the book.

That said …

I have LOVED the romantic-suspense genre for well over 20+ years; particularly ones that deal with U.S Marshals (FBI and local law enforcement are my second and third picks respectively). The U.S Marshals preference I blame on the 1994 movie The Fugitive and the 1998 sequel U.S Marshals. (Having LOVED The Fugitive so much, I was BEGGED for another movie – and got it).
I also enjoy Amish romantic-suspense, which is in part due to the Harrison Ford movie Witness (1984). I also blame a few others for getting me into READING the genre – but, it’s definitely a good thing.

Moving on …

This is the third Love Inspired Suspense book I’ve read by the author (I read books #13 & #14), and have the entire collection of her Amish Country Justice series on my TBR list (so, I’ve got about 12 books to read).

Covers are usually the first thing to draw the reader in, and there’s something about a suspense cover that usually grabs my attention. Whether it’s a person, scenery, or a vehicle (I LOVE the vehicle ones) – it just grabs me.

But, what really drew me in – not just the U.S Marshals being involved, but the occupation of the woman – a crime scene cleaner. Despite the many suspense books I’ve read, rarely do I see it as a profession that is mentioned or held by a main character.

Having watched a LOT of cop shows from the 70’s-current, the CSI franchise (Miami and NY), as well as NCIS (original and NOLA) – one thing I was grossed out by, yet intrigued by – crime scene clean-up. After the scene is photographed, sketched, and evidence is collected – what next, especially with a homicide in a home?

I always wondered about that job, because let’s face it – it isn’t for the faint of heart (like Lissa says), and it’s pretty rough, particularly homicide scenes. One has to wonder how one can work such a job, how they are contracted, and who pays for the clean-up. I have SO many questions!

As much as I LOVE what the other authors offer, this was definitely a REALLY HAVE TO READ story as result of that occupation FINALLY getting some exposure.

I also like that Lynn included a deaf character who wears cochlear implants. As someone who is HOG (hard of hearing) and SHOULD be wearing hearing aids; seeing a character like Lissa is inspiring.

Getting all that out of the way …

As this is a series, I HIGHLY recommend reading the other books in the series so that one knows what is going on.

The books directly and “indirectly: connected to this one (based on the characters) are:

Amish Country Threats (#10) (introduces Nicole)
Amish Christmas Escape (#12) (introduces Jack)
Amish Cradle Conspiracy (#13) (introduces Steve; features Nicole & Jack)
Her Secret Amish Past (#14) (Joss and Steve; introduces the Bender Family)

Nicole and Jack do not return, nor are they mentioned. However, I mentioned them solely due to the connections, and readers might benefit from reading the previous books as some events in those books are mentioned in this one.

Returning characters:

🚓 Chief Mike Spencer
🚓 Lt. Kathy Bartlett – Amish Cradle Conspiracy (book #13; she was previously a Sergeant, and later wounded in that book. She returned in book #14 along with a promotion)
🚓 Sgt. Steve Beck – Amish Cradle Conspiracy (book #13) (Joss is seen at the end of this book)
🚓 Deputy U.S Marshal Micah Bender – Joss’ brother from Her Secret Amish Past
🪚 Nathan Bender (Micah’s father)
👒 Edith Bender (Micah’s mother)
🪚 Gideon Bender (Micah’s brother and Joss’ twin)
🪚 Zeke Bender (Micah’s brother)
👩🏻 Joss Beck (Born Christina Bender, twin to Gideon, kidnapped as a child)

Lynn then introduces:

👩🏻 Alyssa (Lissa) Page
👧🏻 Shelby (Lissa’s adorable 5-year-old daughter)
👩🏻 Ginger (Shelby’s babysitter)
👒 Iris (Zeke’s wife)
🚓 Deputy U.S Marshal Parker Gates (Micah’s partner)

Despite the amount of characters, the story is only told through Lissa and Micah’s POV. Yet, even with all the characters, it doesn’t overwhelm the story. Some characters are only mentioned and/or seen in passing. The book focuses mostly on Micah, Lissa, and darling Shelby.

Lissa is a single mom working as a crime scene cleaner. At 20, she got pregnant with Shelby and was on her own when she was dumped by the man who got her pregnant and her family tossed her to the side. Three years later, she met Teddy, but he didn’t want to be shackled to a kid that wasn’t his and a deaf wife (though she does wear cochlear implants and can hear pretty well with them).

Lissa is waiting at a restaurant and trying to get ahold of her friend, Sutter Springs Police officer Tracy Huber. It isn’t long until Lissa gets a call from her boss with a familiar address.

She pulls up only to find the Sutter Springs police there. It’s worse than Lissa imagined – Tracy has been killed. [Let’s face it – that HAS to be hard; not just someone you know, but a friend].

After the police leave, Lissa gets to work. As usual, Gage is late. And, it isn’t long until Lissa runs into the killer who attacks her; however, she won’t remember who it is for some time.

Micah is arriving to the house due to it being a serial killing, the same killer who killed his fiancée, Penny, along with 1-2 other women. Micah finds Lissa, who is alive, but the killer/attacker gets away.

Unfortunately, being a witness puts Lissa in danger, as well as her daughter. Micah is assigned to keep them safe. Of course, he has to keep his heart safe. Not only is Lissa the kind of woman he’d ask out if he was in the market for a girlfriend, her daughter Shelby is a little heartbreaker as well.

They don’t even last a night at Lissa’s before the killer is after them. The media, due to birthday cards being left at the scene, is dubbing him the Birthday Card Killer (BCK) – a moniker those on the task force refuse to use. (That was an interesting note as well).

While trying to get to another safe place, they’re attacked. [As of note – flaming arrows? That’s definitely different]. Micah’s SUV is put out of commission.

Even though they aren’t close, Gage calls Lissa for help, but it turns out to be a trap. Unfortunately, he soon becomes a suspect, especially when his travels coincide with the murders. One interesting one was a Star Trek convention (see note about that below).

Micah and Lissa also fight their mutual attraction – each one not wanting to become attached to anyone else. For her, it’s about trust; for him – it is his failures with Penny as well as Joss – which he tells Lissa about.

However, each time they think they’ve got a safe place to stay – someone finds them. That leads Micah to head to some place that SHOULD be safe – his family’s Amish farm. But, they aren’t safe for long – and one threat is closer than they realize.

Lynn focuses more on the suspense than the romance of the story, with the end and HEA taking place about two (2) months AFTER the climax and “end” of the case.

Lynn drew me right in from the first chapter and held my attention (shortish chapters helped) until the very end … and beyond, which is why I’m going to be reading the next book in the series, Hidden Amish Target. It’s part of an upcoming JustRead tour (July 25-29). That will be Zeke’s story, and readers of this book won’t want to miss that one given how this one ends.

There’s also a good chance I’ll be reading her next release, Hunted at Christmas, later this year. That will be Isaiah Bender’s story (heads up: he’s a bounty hunter). I’m definitely looking forward to that one given the revelation in this book.

I also like when the author doesn’t always have the hero and heroine returning to the Amish community, but living alongside it. Each of Lynn’s books varies with regard to that, so they’re all quite different.

I had to laugh on page 108 with Lissa and her coffee. I do the SAME thing, especially when it comes to Pumpkin Spice. I took that very personally when Micah asked Lissa “Are you sure you want coffee with your creamer?” 🤣

I absolutely adored Shelby. Her nickname – Sweet Pea – is my mother’s nickname for me as it is my birth flower. My grandmother called me Tinkerbell though. I was also glad that Shelby’s stuffed pony Sonny survived. Too many writers tend to have the villain put an item in a child’s toy which needs to be torn or ripped into. While, in reality I’m sure it happens quite a bit, as someone who still loves stuffed animals – that hurts. The little kid took being dragged from place to place quite well and was definitely a trooper. The Bender family was such a treat as well, and I hope to see them back in the next two releases.

I would like to see Parker get a story somewhere in this series. I absolutely LOVED him! I love his sense of humor when Micah’s first SUV goes up – he tells him it’s toast and can’t be repaired.

I’d also like to see Kathy get her own story as well. She’s been shot in one book and gotten promoted upon her return to the department.

So, yes … I’ll definitely keep reading the author’s work – and “hope” to get to the 12 other previous books as well (though it’s not looking good for this year 🤣).

Despite this being from the Love Inspired line, and featuring Amish characters, the faith references are kept at a minimum. Readers won’t have to feel as if it is too preachy.

However, Lynn had a wonderful “moment” when Lissa says “Jesus forgives us all our sins, but people don’t.” It is definitely a true statement. I see it in the way people act not only in person, but the internet as well.

Fans of the author and genre will no doubt want to read this book, and the next two releases! This was definitely an exciting, intense, fast-paced, explosive, action-packed “stay-up-past-your-bedtime” to finish it read.

Now, about that Star Trek convention reference …

Between 1988 and 1993, I went to a few Star Trek conventions and met some of the actors, mostly from the older series. We stopped going due to money issues, and a lack of interest on my part.

On a fun note –> I did skip a June 1989 one in Los Angeles that featured both the ENTIRE Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation casts, along with other actors.

While my mother and I had originally decided to go to the 3-day event, we ended up going to Disneyland for two (2) days and Knott’s Berry Farm between those days. I have NO idea how I got talked out of going to the convention – it wasn’t my mother. However, she did agree the theme parks were cheaper and a better idea. We checked out of the expensive hotel for a cheaper one closer to Disneyland. No regrets though. While I didn’t get to meet some of the actors, many who’ve passed, I still have no regrets.

So, reading about Gage going was a real treat and a bit of nostalgia.

Lynn has done it again!

I have read many, many books, and I think this is the first to feature a crime scene cleaner, so I loved that unique angle. This was one so engaging that I finished it in one sitting!

Crime Scene Witness is a fast-paced story that keeps the reader guessing with ample twists and turns. While it's part of a series, it can be read as a standalone novel. The faith theme is woven throughout so it's not overwhelming or preachy. The author skillfully blends the Amish and Englisch communities. Characters are well-drawn and believable, and you can't help but root for Lissa and Micah.

CRIME SCENE WITNESS by Dana R. Lynn is the 15th book in the Amish Country Justice series. It’s the exciting, suspenseful story of Alyssa “Lissa” Page and Deputy U.S. Marshall Micah Bender in the little community of Sutter Springs, Ohio.

Lissa’s life has been full of disappointments and rejections. Without her dual cochlear implants, she’s completely deaf, but she’d never let that hold her back. Her first love, left her the moment he found out she was pregnant. Then her family and community turned their back on her for disgracing them by getting pregnant without the benefit of marriage. On her own, she’s determined to make a life on her own for her precious daughter, Shelby, and herself. Finally, deciding to give love a second chance, she once again had her heart broken after meeting his parents. Her boyfriend told her that he didn’t want to be “shackled to someone else’s kid and a wife who was deaf”. Not her dream job of a culinary career, but working for Sutter Springs Biohazard Cleaning - cleaning up crime scenes paid the bills and had the medical insurance she needed. The one and only person that had stuck by her through thick and thin was her friend from grade school, Tracy Huber, a rookie police officer.

Deputy U.S. Marshall Micah Bender had been raised Amish. His feelings of inadequacy started at the young age of 8. He’d been entrusted with the care of his young siblings, but got distracted as kids do. His sister was kidnapped and it was 22 years before they were able to find her. He carried the quilt of it being his fault for years. His family still lives in the nearby Amish community. Having made the choice not to be baptized in the church as a young adult, allowed him to still be in close contact with his family when he crossed over into the Englisch world. He even joined the military. After his stint, he felt that being a marshal was his calling. Tragedy struck again when his fiancées was brutally murdered proving once again that he was unable to keep those he loved safe. When he’s given the assignment to find the Birthday Card Killer, aka BCK, his path crosses with Lissa after she was knocked out and injured at the latest crime scene – the home of her dear friend Tracy, who had been bludgeoned to death. When repeated threats are directed at her including multiple attempts to murder her, he’s assigned to her and is determined more than ever to keep her from harm. He can NOT fail this time!

Working the crime scene at Tracy’s home is the last thing she could do in honor of her dear friend. She, however, hadn’t expected to be attached and knocked unconscious while doing so. What will it take for her memory to come back after she awakes? Does Lissa dare to put her faith in another man? When the attacks upon Lissa intensify, how will he be able to do his job and keep both Lissa and Shelby safe? Feeling unworthy of another woman’s trust and affection, can Micah keep his growing feelings buried deep inside of him? Will being with Lissa and Shelby 24/7 have him wish for a happily ever after? Will seeing like feelings from Lissa be his undoing? How can they find out who the BCK is before he makes good on his wish for a May birthday – Lissa’s? When errors lead to wrong conclusions, will it just have Micah feeling even strong about his inability to keep his loved ones safe?

CRIME SCENE WITNESS is a wonderful story fabulously told with suspense and action that grabs you from the first page and carries you through this can’t put down book to the very last page. Dana R. Lynn continues to keep this series fresh and us wanting more. She does this while weaving her stories with a thread of faith both in the Amish and Englisch communities showing that God is always there with us – even in the worst and scariest situations, but we must pray and trust. Although part of a series, CRIME SCENE WITNESS can most definitely be read as a stand alone book. I will warn you though, once you read one, you are bound to seek the others out. Most definitely FIVE STAR reading at its best!

Although I receive an advanced reader’s copy, I was not requested or under any obligation to leave a review. All opinions are completely my own.

Another gripping Amish Country Justice book that kept me hooked from beginning to end. The suspense was intense, the action was fast-paced, and the romance was sweet.

Lissa is a strong and resilient character. Born deaf, she hears with the help of cochlear implants. Her first love deserted her when she became pregnant, and her parents kicked her out, leaving her to fend for herself. Determined to give her daughter the best life possible, Lissa gave up her dreams of a culinary career and took a job as a crime scene cleaner. The work isn't pleasant, but the pay and benefits keep her going. As the book opens, Lissa is called to a familiar address for a cleanup job - that of her best friend, who has been murdered. Tracy was a rookie police officer with the local department. As Lissa finishes the job, something catches her eye, but someone hits her over the head before she can pick it up, knocking her unconscious.

Deputy US Marshal Micah Bender is a former Amish man who left the community to become a law enforcement officer. When he was eight, his younger sister was kidnapped when he was supposed to watch her. She remained missing for 22 years before being found (Her Secret Amish Past). The guilt of that event stayed with him for many years and motivated him to join the marshals. A year and a half earlier, Micah's fiancée was brutally murdered, adding to his feeling of failure at keeping his loved ones safe. Micah was assigned the case of a serial killer, BCK, the Birthday Card Killer, which brought him to the killer's latest victim - Lissa's friend Tracy. He arrives just in time to keep Lissa from becoming the next victim.

The blow to her head affected Lissa's memory, so she doesn't remember the piece of evidence that started the trouble. The killer doesn't know that and is determined to eliminate the only person who can identify him. The action is nonstop as Micah attempts to keep Lissa and her daughter, Shelby, safe, and they can barely keep one step ahead of the killer, who is constantly on their heels. From exploding houses to exploding arrows and from Lissa's home to Micah's family's farm, the twists and turns of this story kept me guessing to the very end. Just when I thought I had it figured out, an unexpected twist proved me wrong. The final confrontation was a nail-biter.

I enjoyed seeing the relationship develop between Micah and Lissa. Both are wary of giving their hearts. Lissa has been burned twice by men she thought she could trust, and she has trouble trusting her judgment regarding Micah. Meanwhile, Micah has difficulty opening his heart to another woman after losing his fiancée so tragically. The more time they spend together, the harder it is to deny the growing feelings between them. I loved Micah's protectiveness toward Lissa and Shelby. It was also sweet to see him with Shelby. It was obvious that he would be a terrific father.

Lissa loves him and believes in him, but when everything is over, Micah is still weighed down by what he believes is his inability to keep her safe. He pulls away, telling Lissa he's too broken and must fix himself. I wanted to shake him for wallowing in self-pity and was happy to see his brother Gideon call him out on his idiocy. Thank goodness Gideon got through to him. Micah's arrival at Lissa's house and his emotional confession of his feelings and fears were fantastic. Lissa was sweet and didn't make him grovel for long. The epilogue was great, and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

This one will keep you up late at night in order to finish it. The action is constant and nerve wracking. I do not have any fingernails left.

Alyssa is a crime scene cleaner. She has not had an easy life. She is completely deaf, but can hear with cochlear implants. When she ended up pregnant with her precious daughter, Shelby, her boyfriend ghosted her, and then her family kicked her to the curb. She has a resilience that most people do not have, and it was immediately apparent that she was a survivor. She is cleaning a crime scene when she is attacked.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Micah Bender arrives at the crime scene and hears her cries. Micah has had his own struggles. He grew up in an Amish family, but decided to join the armed forces and leave the Amish community. He recently lost his bride-to-be to a vicious killer, and he has not fully recovered from this loss. When it soon becomes apparent that Alyssa has become the focus of a serial killer bent on destroying women who work in the field of police work or justice, Micah is assigned to protect Alyssa and her daughter, Shelby. There is a demented killer on the loose who has completely devalued human life.

Some harrowing moments will take your breath away from exploding arrows to exploding houses. Dana Lynn does a fantastic job of crossing the Amish world and Englisch world. I loved both of the main characters. Their stories were so heart wrenching. Alyssa was a strong woman and a good mother. She never wallowed in self-pity over her circumstances; she overcame them to the best of her ability. There is a sweet romance just under the surface and the inspirational message will leave a smile on your face.

If you like a great mystery with suspense, action and intrigue, you will enjoy this newest book in this series.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Author Dana Lynn brings us another gripping entry to her Amish Country Justice series, Crime Scene Witness.
Lissa Page is a crime scene cleaner. (Side note: I have not seen this occupation in a book before and was delighted at this interesting twist.). She’s called to a scene to clean up, horrified to realize it’s the home of her best friend. As she’s cleaning, she’s attacked as a small item catches her eye.
Deputy US Marshal Micah Bender has just arrived at the scene and hears a shriek from inside. He rushes in and finds Lissa. While this crime technically isn’t his to investigate, he just knows it is linked to a couple others, including the murder of his fiancé 18 months prior. He teams up with local law enforcement to catch the killer.
When Micah takes Lissa to the hospital, another attempt is made on her life. Now he’s sticking to her and her young daughter like glue, protecting them while trying to stay a step ahead of the killer who has chosen Lissa as the next target.
As they spend more time together, they can’t deny their attraction to one another. But Lissa has made bad choices in men in the past. How can she trust her own judgment? How can she believe not all men are the same? Micah feels like he can’t open his heart to someone new after losing his fiancé. Can they each trust the Lord enough to learn to trust themselves?
Find out in Crime Scene Witness. I loved it, and I think you will, too. Plus it has one of my favorite things…an epilogue! I received a complimentary copy of this book, but my opinion is entirely my own.

Crime Scene Witness by Dana R. Lynn is a suspenseful whodunit. I was quickly drawn into the story. I stayed up late rapidly turning the pages to see how the story would conclude. I like the author’s writing style. It is friendly and draws the reader in. The characters are realistic and relatable. I enjoyed getting to know Deputy Marshal Micah Bender, Lissa Page, and Lissa’s adorable daughter, Shelby. The story is told from Lissa and Micah’s point-of-view. It is interesting to see things from a man and a woman’s POV. Lissa wears cochlear implants. I liked learning more about the devices. The mystery was full of action. I was able to solve the whodunit early on, but I was curious to see how the story would play out (there was so much going on). I like that we got to visit Micah’s Amish family. They are a friendly, welcoming bunch. The epilogue nicely wrapped up the story. I finished the book with a smile on my face. I liked the faith message in the story. It was good to see a law enforcement officer who believed in God. I was happy that Lissa was teaching Shelby about God (such a sweet child). My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Crime Scene Witness. This is book fifteen in the Amish Country Justice Series. Dana and her Amish stories are one of my favorite things about LIS. I love the Amish stories but to have them full of suspense is so much better. This book is well-written, action-packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.

Lissa Page is a single mother. She works as a crime scene cleaner. While she is cleaning her best friend's murder scene she sees something that could reveal the identity of the murderer. She is attacked and doesn't remember the clue. She becomes the killer's next target.

US Marshall Micah Bender pulls up to the crime scene. A car is sitting in the drive, Lissa. He hears a terrifying scream and runs inside. Sassy little Lissa is lying on the floor bleeding and unconscious, with a lead crystal vase beside her. Three women had been killed close to their birthdays, could Lissa have seen the killer? He learns she is about to have a birthday can he keep her safe? His ex was killed by this man can he save Lssa?

A terrifying journey through Amish country to stay ahead of the killer. God has a plan for these two broken souls, a good plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A plan for peace and not destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.

In writing Crime Scene Witness, Dana R. Lynn struck gold again! Crime Scene Cleaner Alyssa Page, otherwise known as Lissa, becomes a target after seeing something she shouldn't at the crime scene of her murdered best friend. As the danger is escalating, Deputy US Marshal Micah Bender attempts to keep Lissa and her young daughter safe from multiple attempts on her life. During the many locations they have run to for safety, including an Amish community, fear abounds as danger finds them. All throughout this ordeal, both attempt to stay focused on staying alive without forming an attachment that could hurt all involved. The emotions may be shared, but the truth can only be accepted through a total reliance on God above and a trust in His plan. I loved Lynn's story, Crime Scene Witness. The twists, the turns, the danger, the faith and all of the love shared, reminded me of how important love is in every aspect of life. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars and I will definitely read more books by this author!

This suspense captured me from the opening words. Lissa Page’s occupation was one that isn’t seen in books but necessary. Marshall Micah Bender is determined to solve the case he’s working on where victims are being killed during their birthday month. The danger Lissa and Micah faced was fast paced throughout the story after Micah’s arrival at the crime scene. The author knows how to keep readers guessing who the real murderer is with her creativity while weaving a gentle loving faith message and romance into the story. Even though this book can be read as a standalone I highly recommend at least reading Her Secret Amish Past to appreciate Micah and his Amish family. Lynn weave suspense at it best between the Amish and Englishers in her Amish Country Justice series.

I received an early complimentary copy of this book from the author without any obligation to write a positive review. I have expressed my own thoughts.

When crime scene cleaner Lissa Page gets a call from her boss she is shocked at the address he tells her she's needed at. Her best friend Tracy Huber lives at that address. When Lissa gets there Tracy is dead. Someone murdered her. Tracy was a rookie officer. While Lissa is there cleaning up blood someone attacks her and she's knocked unconscious. Deputy US Marshal Micah Bender heard screams after pulling up to Tracy's house. He finds Lissa unconscious. Micah's fiance along with other women have been killed within the last 18 months. The killer leaves a homemade birthday card by the victim. He waits until there birthday or near it to kill them. This is a exciting sitting on the edge of your seat suspense. A roller coaster of a ride. A must read story.

Crime Scene Witness is another outstanding mystery written by Dana R. Lynn. This author starts her story out with a bang and it continues all the way through. Her characters are perfect and very likeable. The storyline never gets dull and keeps the reader turning pages as the suspense and mystery plays out. I have to admit I was wondering about the actual murderer when it was revealed. This author never disappoints her readers.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response and all opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.

Crime Scene Witness is Dana R. Lynn's 15th book in the Amish Country Justice series, and the second book revolving around the Bender siblings. This story is about Micah Bender, a deputy US Marshal, and Lissa Page, a crime scene cleaner. After cleaning the crime scene of her best friend's death, Lissa sees something she shouldn't, and becomes a target for the BKC--birthday card killer. Will Micah be able to keep Lissa and her daughter Shelby, safe, or will Lissa become the next victim? And what will become of the increasing attraction between Lissa and Micah?

This is definitely an edge-of-your-seat story with some twists and turns in it. If you're a fan of Amish suspense, this is the book for you!

From the very first chapter there is lots of action as Lissa Page, a single mom working as a crime scene cleaner is called to an address that she is very familiar with. Her closest friend has been murdered but before she completes the clean up she is attacked and left without her memory of the attack.
An exAmish man, Deputy US Marshal Micah Bender has had his share of loss and disappointments, but seeing Lissa in need of protection he steps in to do his best keep her and her daughter safe. They are chased by a madman and shot at with arrows. This madman is determined to stop Lissa before she remembers her attack.
Can Micah keep Lissa and her daughter safe by hiding at his parent’s home in Amish country?

Lissa has a job not many want as a crime scene cleaner. At a scene she is cleaning she sees something but is hit hard on the head and can't remember what it was. It was something important enough that now a killer is stalking her. Marshall Micah Bender has left the Amish life to live in the Englisch world, but when he is assigned to help Lissa and they are trying to find a place to hide, his Amish family may be the only place to hide. Lots of action, suspense and a blossoming romance are just some of the great things about this book.

Crime Scene Witness, An Amish Country Justice Novel
Another 5 stars for Dana R. Lynn. Alyssa Page is a single mother and works cleaning up crime scenes. Marshall Micah Bender is assigned to protect Alyssa after she finds a clue to who might have committed a crime. This is a page turner and can’t put down story! A quote from the book, “Lisa, my wife made a bad choice. But that wasn’t your fault”

"I received this book free from the author and this is my honest review."

This story is a must for those that love suspense and mystery at a top notch and still enjoy the Faith tangled within the story.

Dana has done an amazing job at this action packed as it holds you glued to each page as fast as you can turn it to find out the outcome. In this story is Lissa who is a crime scene cleaner. Which intrigued me because I've never read about that. And Deputy Micah who comes to her rescue when she is cleaning up a crime scene but not just a crime scene but her best friend's crime scene. She finds something that will identify the person who did it but she finds herself needing protection for her and her daughter . Deputy Micah's only solution to protecting them after so many twists, turns and action packed brings them to the safety of the Amish family he belongs..... Or does he drive them closer to the killer?!?!

Dana will have you pulled in as you keep wondering who is it with a surprise twist and outcome that will have you thinking wow!!!

I received a ARC from the author. I was not expected to leave a positive review, everything mentioned here is my own personal thoughts.

I have loved every book in this series and this is no exception. I loved reading about Lisa and Micah. I loved how the Amish community where Micah grew up is incorporated into the story. I loved all the action and the romance. I loved Shelby also. I received a copy of the book from the publisher for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
