What’s a dog got to do to save a human these days? Sanders was a mess of a human, sitting there crying on a park bench right after his girlfriend ended things.
Zeus had his own troubles. After all, he’d lost his mom and siblings. He’d barely escaped from the animal control van when some of the other dogs made a break for it. But those other dogs shunned him once they were all on the lam. Now all alone, he needed food and rest, but Sanders was sitting right next to the most promising leftovers.
Can this down-and-out guy and stray dog help one another?
Loved this story about a dog saving a lonely man. Sanders and Patty were in park and had an argument. Patty left and never came back, Sanders was very upset and a stray dog, who was rummaging in the trash, saw him and noticed he had a bag of food. He had his eye on the food so walked over to see if he could get a bit not realizing that he would be saving Sander and his own life. I received this ARC copy and I plan on reading more of this series as it comes out. A great dog lover book.
I received this book as an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving a review. As an avowed dog lover I enjoyed this sweet short story told from a dogs viewpoint about how one human and one dog found one another and became family. Definitely a feel good short story. I marked this as a four star because I would like to see this story together with a few others forming one book.
This was a heartwarming "feel good" read and I really enjoyed it. As a dog lover, I appreciated the dog's point of view and the dialog among dogs and cats, and especially how diligently one sad human and one loving dog without a home worked in concert to become a loving family.
This is a story about a man and a dog who rescue each other. The descriptions are perfect. I loved Green, the cat. Zeus is the kind of dog everybody would be lucky to have. It is a lovely feel-good book.
A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.
A great heartwarming, feel good book. A lost dog and man find each other and help each other too. Loved the cat too! Well worth reading and I look forward to reading more.
Thanks to Miranda for giving me the chance to read this as part of her ARC group and enabling me to give my honest review.
Loved that the story is told using the dog's POV and getting to see how things looked through his eyes. A interesting novella about a dog and a man who needed each other. Loved the interaction and perspectives from all the neighborhood animals. And loved the way the story ended.
When I picked this book up I really wish it gave more information of the type of book it really was. It mainly was about the dog talking to other dogs and cats in the neighborhood. It had no real story but it was a quick read.
Such an adorable book from the dogs point of view. A very heartfelt story.. Definitely recommend this quick read! I received an ARC copy and chose to leave a review.
