“Never Reply All,’he told her mother. ‘Always double-check who you send your email to.’ Even though Emily probably knew more than him about computers by now, it stuck with her. Now someone else had made the mistake, but it was her problem....”

Emily works for/with Jessica in a small, successful start-up. Things are going fairly well until CFO Emily stumbles upon an email she probably shouldn’t have seen....

Bob, a FBI agent with an iffy reputation lives across the hall from Emily. Their paths will cross in a very contemporary kind of situation involving money, partnerships and trust that reads like a “cops and robbers” story that will pull you in and wring you out wondering....WTF just happened”

If this is a “novella”...bring on the series! Highly recommended 5/5

Emily and Jessica started their own business and things seemed to be going fine until Emily finds some discrepancies in the books and gets a frightening email saying "they" had to get rid of her. She takes her concerns to her partner, Jessica who says no problem, she will check into it. But by the time she tries to show it to her coworker, Mike who against her better judgment, she has a thing for the discrepancy disappears and also the copy of an email she received. When some scary and unusual things happen, Emily goes to her FBI neighbor, Bob for help. Against his better judgment he says he would look into it. Bob also has a lot of baggage in his life since he seems to be more married to his job than his wife and child, which is how his wife sees it, as well as he had a problem on the job and how has an FBI agent working with him as his Watcher. This begins a roller coaster ride through this novella that keeps you turning pages.. This book is so well put together, you glide through quickly and can't wait to see what happens in the end where you are surprised by how it ends and can't wait for the next book in the series! I received a Beta copy of this book from the author but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

A thriller of the modern times. How an email could bring so many problems in a person´s life. A well written story, easy to read that makes you turn the pages to learn what happens in the end. It mixes crime, greed, love, friendship, betrayal and seems very much credible to happen in real life. Look forward to continue reading books by this author.

Chief Financial Officer Emily finds out that money is missing from the company accounts and so she reports it.

Suddenly she gets copied in to an email that says "Get rid of her". Does that mean fire her or something worse? Should she trust her boss, her new boyfriend or the money man?

Useful to have an FBI agent living next door...

I really liked this thriller! It had a lot of action to keep readers involved, and many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. One thing I require as a reader is to have a lot of personality development of the characters and this book didn’t disappoint. I felt like I really knew each of the characters from the very beginning, and then whamo! He or she did something very unexpected that I didn’t expect. I urge you to read this book if you like intrigue, suspense, and action!

A very solidly written, enjoyable thriller, I particularly liked that it is set in a very contemporary period and that modern tech is used in the story and described in an accessible way, you don't need to be geek to understand it.
The characters are also interesting and well written, and there are some great twists and turns. It certainly piqued my interest for the next book in the series, I can see some fun cases for Agent Bob ahead.

'Never Reply' all is a fast-paced thriller that manages to hold our attention despite the minor flaws. The narration is very simple and it wouldn't take much time for you to finish the story. Although I loved the plot, I wish it was more descriptive.

It had more dialogues and fewer descriptions. So, it wasn't immersive in my opinion. It needs a little bit of polish and the characters were under-developed.

But, despite its shortcomings, I think this novella would suffice the people who are looking for a super quick read.

I enjoyed this FBI thriller (novella) Never Reply All by Dan Friedman and it is the first time I have read a book by him.

Emily Turing received an email with the line Get rid of her and she assumed it was meant for her, but the sender had put Reply All unintentionally but she knew never reply all to an email always double check first. Emily finds out that she is living right next door to Bob Alexis an FBI agent and ponders whether to inform him of the threatening email she received but then sits on it until a later time.

Emily is a number cruncher at her work place and dreams of one day becoming the CEO once her boss Jessica ever decided to stand down but she had another rival MIke who worked in the next office.

Jessica throws Mike and Emily together for a week-end work conference and they romantically bond together.

Bob Alexis has his own personal problems as his wife Lisa was threatening divorce as Bob lived for his work and she felt that she and their young daughter Madison were being neglected.

There is a really good twist at the end which I did not see coming.

This novella by Dan Friedman is a face paced thriller that will keep you turning the pages. When Emily Turing receives a mysterious threatening email by mistake things start to get sinister. With no where to go she turns to her neighbor FBI Agent Bob Alexis who has problems of his own. As things ramp up and Emily is torn between love and fear, Agent Bob has to get it together to save her and his troubled marriage before its too late for both.
Compelling and likeable characters draw the reader in while action and twists keep you turning the pages. Although a prequel to Don't Dare to Dream this novella works great as a stand alone. This was my first Dan Friedman book but it won't be my last.

I knew this was a novella going in, so I'm not going to comment on length.

The writing was great, pacing was great and I will definitely want to read more by Friedman. He reminds me of early Harlan Coben and Jeffrey Deaver,

My biggest problem was the FBI agent Bob. He has some obvious weaknesses, which work towards character and plot development in this book. However, given his weaknesses in this book, it's hard to imagine building a series around him for future books. For example, him deciding to quit the FBI. Even if he didn't follow through, it's hard to get past his complaints and frailties.

For a short novel this packed a punch! I read it in one sitting. The author manages to grip you from the first page. He manages to pack a lot of action in just a few pages. My only complaint was the ending, I was expecting a much different turn out for Emily and Bob. I didn’t find it fair that after everything Emily went through she ends up losing everything. I also found it a little strange how Bob’s wife admits she doesn’t love him but over a conversation with a friend quickly decides to take him back. Other than these few things it was still a very good thriller.

“Get rid of her.” Those were the words Emily wasn’t supposed to see in an email. Was she being fired? Or was she being killed?

This had an interesting premise, but it doesn’t dive right into the issue right away. First, we have to hear about the FBI agent’s movie outing and how he met his wife—things that weren’t essential to the story. It has a nice narrative, but it’s not fast enough. Meanwhile, Emily is freaking out about the email with too many what-if questions. Again, it’s not diving right into the mystery.

Okay, but not a thrilling thriller.

Emily is the CFO for a new technology startup who has begun to find discrepancies in the numbers and puts her findings into an email for Jessica, the CEO. Soon after Emily sees another email, this one references her email and adds -she won’t see it coming. Get rid of her. Emily quickly realizes that she was forwarded this by accident and is worried about what get rid of her might mean. She decides to show it to her next door neighbor Bob who is a federal agent. When Bob decides to investigate Emily’s company, it never occurs to him that he his own wife and daughter might be put in harms way. This was a fun, fast paced, suspenseful story that was perfect for a Saturday night.

This book was just...not good. The plot was disjointed and yet plot lines intersected in really unbelievable ways. The writing was stiff and there was very little character development. I thought that many of the characters actions were pretty unrealistic. I honestly only finished this book because it was so short.

FBI Agent Bob Alexi's life is destroyed when he finds that his wife wants a divorce. Then his neighbour Emily  Turing wants his help as she comes across something strange going on when she got a threatening email.  A very intriguing read.  I received this book free and leave a honest review. Reads too much like a documentary. It's nice and short with a good plot and moves along at a fast pace with some suspenseful twists, but the writing style felt almost like Sgt. Friday was giving the facts with little emotion being conveyed. It never drew me in and entertained me. Just felt flat.

Great short suspense thriller

Even though this was pretty short it still had a lot of action and suspense. There were a few twists you didn't see coming. Would definitely recommend this author.
