Sometimes the best dreams are the ones you didn’t know were possible.
Colton James lives and breathes country music. Playing the guitar and singing the songs he writes is all he’s ever dreamed of doing, but his parents wish he’d choose a career that’s a little more…traditional. Which is why he’s headed to Nashville, the country music capitol of the world, to finally prove to them he’s got what it takes to make it.
That is until his cross-country trip comes to a screeching halt when his truck breaks down in the tiny town of Cedarville, Wyoming. Barely more than a dot on the map, Colton finds himself stuck with no transportation and almost empty pockets.
Jesse Adams has lived in Cedarville all his life, taking over his father’s bar when he passed. He makes a decent living and has a lot of friends, yet he’s lonely. After all, Cedarville is hardly a hot bed of activity for gay men. In fact, he’s the only gay man he knows of in town. At least until a certain aspiring musician wanders into his bar.
Seeing Colton’s in a tough spot, Jesse offers him a place to stay in exchange for singing at the bar a few nights a week until his truck gets fixed. As the two of them get to know each other, sparks begin to fly. But can Jesse keep his heart from getting broken when Colton moves on?
I didn’t expect much from this story and maybe that's why I liked it so much. It's a sweet story about finding true happiness in simplicity, in the true love😍 It calmed my chaotic mind and left me with a smile.
Nice little story about a singer on his way to Nashville whose car breaks down in a small village, where he meets a sweet bar owner who takes him in, befriends some locals, and falls in love with the place, the people and of course the bar owner. The trope is not really very creative, I probably read the story a dozen times already and unfortunately this did not add anything new or interesting to the concept. I appreciated that there was not too much drama, when Colton finds out he's in love with Jesse he is willing to give up his prospective singing career to stay with his lover. Apart from that, there really isn't much to tell about the story, not a bad book but not very memorable either, maybe 2.5 or 3 stars.
𝐌𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: The title of this love story is Heart Strings and let me tell you, it is perfectly named. This wonderfully heartwarming Romance will definitely pull on yours.
Colton has always dreamed of living his life doing what he loves, which is making music. So he decides to move to Nashville to turn that dream into a reality. But along the way fate clearly has other ideas for him. Jesse is living life working his dad's bar happy and content, for the most part. Secretly he wishes for someone to share his life with but every time he's opened his heart he's always been left behind. 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴! 𝐘𝐞𝐩, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭. These two are thrown together and after a short friendship they don't even try to deny their growing attention for one another.
What I loved about this story was how uncomplicated it was. Just straight up Romance that makes your heart smile. There is no drama, no miscommunication and no hurt feelings. What you see is what you get. It's was a quick, easy and a delightfully heartmelting read. I definitely recommend it for anyone who just needs to smile and believe that love truly can conquer all.
This novella is packed with fluffy sweetness, all the swoon, and of course, steam. Colton just wants to play his music. When his truck breaks down in Wyoming on his way to Nashville, he meets Jesse, and his hopes and dreams take a different direction. Having lived my whole life very close to Wyoming, I was almost a bit put off by the dialect, but luckily Annabella Michaels limited the weird yokel talk to the older folks, which around here, especially rurally, is fairly accurate. Other than that, this was a delightful short read.
Colton always wanted to be a country star. On his way to Nashville, his truck broke down in Wyoming. He met Jesse, the owner of a bar in a small town. While waiting for his truck to be fixed, he sang at the bar, staying with Jesse. One of his performances went viral. Colton learned that he didn't to have to go to Nashville to have everything he wanted. This is a sweet, steamy love story. Great job as usual Annabella.
Colton is on his way to Nashville when his truck breaks down. Jesse is a bar owner who loves his life and his home town. When Colton is stranded Jesse takes him in and the best kind of friendship develops. Both seem to reach the same decision in time about liking each other and then the romance takes off! Annabella you knocked this one out of the ball park!!!
I enjoyed reading this relatively short story (110 pages). But since it’s not long, some parts felt rushed to me, including how Colton and Jesse fell in love and how Colton’s music career developed. It didn’t feel like the story was developed enough or that the loose ends were wrapped up. Again, it may have to do with the length of the book.
A wonderful read, I read it straight through. It was only nine chapters but a lot was put into them. It was sweet, steamy and swoony filled with a small town of very kind people. I loved Colton and Jesse! A Must Read!!
Somewhat short story where everything great and grand happens in less then 2 weeks. Wow! It is a sweet story of bro men who fall in love. Jesse the Bar owner and Colton with a big dream in music. Wouldn't you know all his dreams come true.
This is a sweet, easy to read slow-burn story. I loved the MCs and Colton and Jesse are adorable together from the moment they meet to the sweet ending. A perfect read for a lazy afternoon.
This is a short sweet read. I read it in an hour and fifteen. Colton and Jesse are both loveable. The town is adorable. There are some steamy scenes that are medium heat. Not very graphic. No bad language at all.
Colton and Jesse were very loveable characters. Sometimes it's those unexpected turns in the road that lead to the happy ending we didn't know to hope for.
Jesse and Colton are really divine together and I found myself reading this book with such a smile on my face. Small town vibes abound and I was so there for it.
O livro é bem curto e ele perde um pouco nisso, faltou explorar mais cenas entre eles, mais conversas, mais tudo. Os personagens são bons, mas a história é meio sem graça.
