The truth comes in many ways. Cyprus Taking full custody of my little sister, I have a fight on my hands. Not with her. She’s still a little girl. If it weren’t for the club, I’d sink, but I need help and can’t rely on the ol’ ladies to help all the time. My Prez’s woman put out an ad. I told her to handle it. She knew what she was doing. I trust her. What I didn’t expect was for her to hire the woman she did or the truths that come out along the way.
This author killed this last book in the Devil’s Riot MC Originals series but so happy that she left the door open for more to come. As always, this book was filled with lies, deceit, drama, angst and steam that made this book a one sit read for me. Both Noelle and Cyprus had unbelievable childhoods which broke my heart.
Noelle’s brother happened to be Cyprus’s best friend when they were younger but then the unthinkable happened and Noelle was blamed by everyone for his death including blaming herself. Now years later Noelle and Cyprus meet again and secrets are revealed. Will Cyprus be able to protect her now that her life is on the line?
This was such a fantastic book and series and one I highly recommend.
I loved Cyprus and Noelle. It was heartwarming watching Noelle overcome her hardships with Cyprus by her side. They both had grief to overcome and they definitely helped each other. Such a phenomenal way to end The Originals.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed this one. Though it took me a while to warm up to Cyprus.
While it's entirely Noelle's "parents'" fault that she's suffered so much, I couldn't forgive him for abandoning her. I get that he was upset over his best friend's death, but his anger and animosity towards Noelle were so out of place and out of character after you learn about how close they were growing up and how much he protected her in their youth.
She suffered the absolute worse a woman could suffer for seven years because he couldn't get his head out of his ass. Once he finally did, it was a nice change. However, I feel like what Noelle endured for seven years was all swept under the rug and never properly address. They had sex way too soon for my liking. Hector was her first and only and it was a traumatic and terrifying experience for her every time (again for SEVEN YEARS). It just didn't seem realistic. They should've talked even a little bit about what happened before sleeping together. Or even a "tell me to stop at any time and I will" to reassure her. A lot of it was what he wanted in and out of the bedroom.
They only reconnect when she sees an ad for a nanny and doesn't realize it's for him. Otherwise he never would've checked on her. He knows his mom's an addict and hangs around her parents, and he wasn't the slightest bit concerned over the years?

After all of the drama has ended, Cyprus and Noelle embrace the love they have for each other as they look towards the future, but Cyprus has exciting news to share with her and Bride. A new chapter will be formed as Cyprus will be VP and Viper will be President of the Mississippi Chapter. As this is the final book in this series, loved how the author pulled in all of the characters we have come to love as a new beginning is in the horizon for the Devil's Riot MC - Mississippi Chapter.
Love MC!! I really enjoyed reading Cyprus’s Truth. This book was action packed until the very end. Loved the story of Noelle and Cyprus and the chemistry between them was super HOT too!!
Cyprus' Truth book number 13 in the Devil's Riot MC: Originals. It's also the final for the Originals, I have no doubt characters will continue to pop up in other charters of the Devil's Riot, especially since out of this book a new charter was decided to start up. They will also pop up in the other intertwined club books still to come.
I really like Cyrus and the suspense was good. It intertwined with the overarching storyline of the Supreme Master and leads me to believe we may be getting closer to ending that. Overall, in the flow of the series, this was a good way to end the Originals.
I did have one small problem with this story, which is why the rating is a little lower. I thought that the conflict the two main characters start out with doesn't really fit with Cyprus' character. I can see him being angry at first all wrapped up in grief, but to have still been blaming her all this time later when he had wanted to be with her before it all went down just doesn't seem to fit for me.
He does move on from it quickly with some words from his Prez and some hard truths but for me, I felt like him losing contact with her but no longer being angry would have been a better fit.
These MC guys are possessive, dangerous, and rough around the edges, but most of all they are very loyal and I just don't feel like Cyprus would have let his anger for her really live on. Just my opinion.
All that being said, again I love these quick reads into the MC world and E.C. Land does a really great job of packing a lot into these smaller books.
If you like MC romance and are short on time this series will be perfect for you . . . Since Cyrus took his little sister from his mother's care the MC ol'ladys have helped him out. But he thinks it's time that he had a more permanent figure in her life. He asks Rachel to help him find a nanny and she's more than happy to help. Unfortunately for Cyprus, the person that Rachel thinks is perfect for him is from his past and he harbors only feelings of anger and hate for her right now.
Noelle really needs to catch some sort of break. Thanks to her parents and their selfish ways she bares the brunt of all of their mistakes. They blame her for the loss of her older brother and, to be honest she blames herself. She takes their awful treatment because she thinks she deserves it and more. But just to get some peace she hopes the nanny job she's applying for will give her some sense of worth and a break from her family. When she finds out who she would be working for she knows that once again luck is not on her side.
Cyprus soon finds that no matter how much he wants to forget he ever saw her again he just can't get her off his mind and when Stoney and the other members push him to look closer he finds that she's been punished more than enough and he realizes that he's made a huge mistake with her. 'I promised her brother I'd look out for her, and I failed him. But I've got a second chance, and I'll be damned if I don't keep it this time around.'
What Noelle doesn't know is that apart from her horrid family she has a much bigger target on her back. While she's fit in nicely with the club and the ol'lady's she's going to bring more trouble to their door and while they are still dealing with trouble from the Supreme Masters she may just make a mistake. 'He deserves a woman who is everything he could ever want. Not someone who has been broken down and damaged beyond repair. Because, believe me, that's exactly what I am. Unrepairable.'
CYPRUS’ TRUTH is the thirteenth and final instalment in EC Land’s contemporary, adult DEVIL’S RIOT MC: ORIGINALS erotic, MC romance series. This is Beckham ‘Cyprus’ Rose, and nanny Noelle Colon. CYPRUS’ TRUTH can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous storylines is revealed where necessary.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from three first person perspectives (Noelle, Cyprus, Hector) CYPRUS’ TRUTH focuses on the rebuilding relationship between Beckham ‘Cyprus’ Rose, and nanny Noelle Colon. Approximately seven years earlier, Noelle’s brother and Beckham’s best friend Noah was killed in a drive by shooting, a death everyone blamed on our story line heroine. Noelle was never responsible for the death of her brother but heart break and vengeance pushed Noelle into a life from which she struggled to survive. Fast forward to present day, Beckham, now known as Cyprus has sole custody of his younger sister Bride, a sister for which Cyprus is looking for a nanny. Unaware of the identity of the woman the club wants to hire, Cyprus comes face to face with his past, the woman he once loved but a woman he blames for death of his best friend. All is not as it appears to be when Cyprus has the MC look into the background and life of our story line heroine, a life that is heart breaking and no longer her own. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Noelle and Cyprus, and the potential fall-out when Noelle’s past comes looking for our story line heroine.
Noelle Colon’s life has been miserable since the drive-by shooting of her older brother. Noelle lost friends, her family, self respect and self esteem when she is forced into a penance for crimes she did not commit. Cyprus has never forgiven Noelle for the death of her brother, a death that was not her fault but a death everyone blamed on our story line heroine. Treating Noelle like trash, Cyprus watches Noelle’s life spiral out of control when he discovers the truth about what happened and why.
The relationship between Noelle and Cyprus is a best friend’s sister , enemies to lovers relationship in which Cyprus is quick to claim Noelle as his own. Someone has targeted our story line heroine, destroying her life in the process. Cyprus will move Noelle into the MC clubhouse, and into his life, in an effort to protect her from future harm. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.
Several of the previous story line couples and MC members return as secondary and supporting characters. The requisite evil has many faces.
CYPRUS TRUTH is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, greed and obsession, family, relationships, acceptance and love. CYPRUS TRUTH is the final instalment in the Devil’s Riot MC : Originals but the author has plans to continue with other Chapters. The premise is captivating yet dark; the characters are desperate and broken.
Noelle has been dealt a bad hand after the death of her brother Noah. Her parents blame her, Beckham her brother's best friend does too. While also blaming herself, she is forced to take care of her parents' habits, the bills, and her parents' debt. When she gets a job interview at the clubhouse for nanny her life changes drastically. Cyprus (Beckham) has not had it easy growing up after his father was killed overseas, his mother went off the rails and forgot about him. Many years later his mother has another baby his sister Bride. Who he has custody of. Now he needs a nanny and the last person he expected was Noelle. When he finds out about what her life has been like and all that she has had to endure he goes and saves her, but he opens another can of worms that puts everyone in more danger. Will Noelle be able to trust him after so long? Will he be able to forgive for what she knew nothing about? Can the take out the threat before its too late? This book sucks you right and with every page and more of her story comes your heart will hurt, you will have tears, and you will fall for Bride, and Noelle. This was amazing and I can't wait to read what she has next.
Wonderful story. Beckham "Cyprus" Rose lost his best friend when there was a drive by shooting. Everyone blamed Noelle for his death, as her brother stepped in front of the bullet and died. She has spent years being treated like dirt by her parents and being abused and raped by their drug pusher, Hector everytime she couldn't pay their drug debt. I love how Cyprus finally reads the file that the Devil's Riot MC put together about her and Cyprus sees the light. He blamed Noelle just like her parents for her brothers death. By saving Noelle from Hector Cyprus might have started a war but his brother are all behind him and ready to take out Alcazar Cartel. Now Cyprus will honor his commitment to Noelle and her brothers memory. He will claim Noelle as his ol'lady and protect her. The story is full of betrayal, vengeance, power, control, drugs, suspense, abuse, obsession, guilt, pain and finally passion and love. Absolutely loved the storyline and the characters. Recommend this book and the whole series. Fantastic!.

Beckham (AKA Cyprus) grew up poor with a mother who sank into drugs and alcohol after the death of his father in combat. He joined the service after high school, then the Devil's Riot MC once he got back...meanwhile his mother had a baby girl, Bride...saying she was going to raise this one right, but soon was back to drugs and booze, so Cyprus petitioned for custody and got his baby sister...but with Bride in school, he needed a more permanent situation for her care, while he worked at the shop restoring cars and bikes...so the Ol' Ladies were helping him find a nanny...but the most logical choice was Noelle who he knew from the old neighborhood, his best friend through school, and now deceased Noah's little sister...he was killed in drive-by, protecting her...and Cyprus blamed Noelle for losing his friend...but could he get over that opinion and see that she may be just what he and Bride need???

Another great book in this series and I have enjoyed each and every one. Cyprus and Noelle have a past but are now virtual strangers to each other due to the death of Noelle’s brother who was Cyprus’s best friend. It seems as though every one blames Noelle for Noah’s death and Noelle has not had a very good life with her parents. When Noelle applies for a nanny job it turns out that it is for Cyprus’s younger sister. It doesn’t start off very well but when Cyprus realises Noelle is not in a good place and is in danger he rescues her and that is when all hell breaks loose. The attraction between them has always been there but these two are very explosive together. This book provides heat, passion and lots of drama that involves the whole MC. Loved every minute of this book and looking forward to the next chapter in this series.

Cyprus's mother checked out of motherhood when her husband died. She spiraled into drugs, he left when he was eighteen. When his mom gets pregnant, he now has a little sister, he ends up taking full custody of her. If it had not been for the club's ol' ladies he never would have been able to keep up. It is time to hire a nanny, he leaves it to the Prez's ol' lady. He never expected her to find the one woman her despises, Noelle, because of her his best friend is dead.
No one blames her more than she does, that fateful day that her brother threw her down and covered her while the bullets flew. She is still living with her crap parents as from of penance.
I loved the way the story turned out for the pair. Both of them have been thru so much with the toxic parents, they deserved to be happy.
This may be triggering for some due to the subject matter.

Noelle's family is abusive and she is taking care of her parents out of guilt over the death of her brother. Cyprus (Beckham) is a member of the DRMC and has taken over custody of his younger sister and needs a nanny to take care of her. Noelle applies for the position and their history is revealed, Beckham was her brothers BFF and blames her for his death. Thanks to the MC, he finally learns the truth and out of loyalty to his friend he steps in and helps her. Sparks fly, the acknowledge their shared attraction and things get steamy. This is the last book in the series and its one of best. Lots of feels, tons of steam and packed with action make this one hard to put down. Sorry to see the end but looking forward to learning more about the other chapters.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.
Cyprus and Noelle have known each other since they were kids. Cyprus was her big brother's best buddy. For all of her life, Noelle is carrying a ton of guilt about her brother's death. She has people that use the guilt to manipulate her. When she is hired by the MC women, she is pulled into Cyprus' life again.
They both struggled to grow up with drug addicted parents. Cyprus show his protective side well, doing whatever it takes to protect her. The action held my attention. I have loved the world developed and carried through to this story. As this is the final book in the Originals series, I have enjoyed getting to know the characters. Each book developed them and the Devils' Riot world. I enjoyed this last book.
When he was young Cyprus's best friend died saving his sister from a drive by and blamed her for it, when she answers an advert for a Nanny Noelle comes face to face with him, she hadn't seen him for years and seeing the look of disgust and anger on his face wishes she hadn't seen him then. Her life has been nothing but heartache and guilt, but what she's doesn't know and he finds out is it wasn't her fault and now all he wants to do is protect her like he should've done when Noah died.
This is the last story in the Originals Chapter which is sad but the good news is there is a new Chapter starting in Mississipee, hope I spelt that right. 🙂.

This action-packed story had my emotions on an emotional storm with all of the twists and turns that it took. Cyprus and Noelle have endured a lot of traumas and it impacts their lives in different ways. They are both feeling sorrow over the death of Noah who is Noelle's brother and his best friend. When he finds out the real reason for his death, he really feels bad for his treatment of Noelle, but the problems are only beginning for her as the truth about her is revealed. Will the MC be able to keep her safe from the storm coming.

Noelle's story broke my heart but if she hadn't gone through it, she wouldn't have become the woman she is today. Definitely worthy of Cyprus' love despite all the obstacles both overcame so that they could finally be together. I didn't like Cyprus at first due to the way he treated Nicole but as the book progressed, I realized I had judged him unfairly. This book isn't for the faint-hearted as it is somewhat dark. As usual, E.C. Land has delivered a dramatic, character-driven, HEA book for both new readers and loyal fans.

Talk about the past finding you full circle. Poor Noelle has been dealt a crappy hand since the death of her brother, he protector and best friend. When he died she not only lost him she lost her crush and his best friend Beckham/ Cyprus. Neither have seen each other since but Noelle really needs a job and Cyprus needs a Nanny. Only now it's opened up a whole new can of worms because Cyprus finds out just how bad her life has been like and if he thought growing up with his mother was bad Noelle has lived through 3 times that much since her brother passed. Immensely enjoyed this book and can't wait to find out more of the connections this book will bring.
When I read what this one was about I was on the fence. I didn’t think it would be my thing, but I love E.C. Land’s book so, of course, I had to try it. Man, the feels I got from this one. Cyprus made me so damn mad blaming Noelle and leaving her to survive on her own. In the same breath Noelle living with the guilt really made me want to shake her. I loved how Cyprus basically said I want her and I’m taking her and I don’t care what she says. It was a really good storyline. Can’t wait to move on to the Franklin Charter!.

Wow! Another great addition to the dark world that EC Land has created. I’m a little sad this is the last of the Devil’s Riot MC Originals but I know we’ll still see everyone in future Devil’s Riot books as this is all part of a huge connected universe. Cyprus and Noelle’s story is a LONG time in the making as they have known each other since they were children. A lot has happened with both of them since that time but they manage to find each other through again. This book has many chapters of the Devil’s Riot coming together and we learn there will be another one opening up soon. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this group!!!
What a great storyline that had moments of surprising elements and wonderful character development. I love that Cyprus is protective and caring of his sister. I was glued to the connection Cyprus had with Noelle as she was his best friend’s sister so she was off limits but when it came to her safety all bets were off and she became his. The mc was heavily involved in this story and it helped with how close everyone is when it comes to trouble lurking around.

Noelle really tugs at your heart. Feeling guilty for her brother’s death and accepting the blame heaped on her by others, she has lived a nightmare for 7 long years. When she crosses paths with her brother’s best friend, things change and truths come out.
Was kind of mad that Cyprus blamed her for her brothers death. There was no logical reason since she would have been a victim if he hadn’t saved her.

Cyprus was best friends with Noelle’s brother Noah until he was gunned down protecting her. After years apart they reconnect but Cyprus wants nothing to do with her as he blames her for his friends death but what he does not know is she has suffered from the bad treatment from her parents and now he vows to protect her. There are several twists in this book trying into some of the precious books in this series. Loved his protective ways with Noelle and his little sister.

Cyprus and Noelle have known each other since childhood, but the death of her brother ended the friendship. They now meet years later after she applies for a nanny position for his yound sister. When you open a Devil's Riot MC book, you are in for a fast and crazy ride with these men and women. Cyprus and Noelle have known each other from the beginning. They grew up next door to each other. But when Noah, Noelle's brother is gunned down while protecting Noelle, Cyprus blames Noelle for his death. Unfortunately everyone blames Noelle. Her parents offer her up to their drug supplier for his enjoyment to pay off debt with him. When Cyprus learns the truth he could kick his self for blaming her.
Cyprus and Noelle’s story is a must read with lots of excitement with each page you turn. When you care so deeply for someone, and in a blink of an eye, your world falls apart, then years later you come face-to-face with your past to only realize that true love never dies. I’m sad to read Cyprus’s Truth is the last book in the Original Series. But what a happy ride it has been, so looking forward to the next series.
Loved this book. Cyprus has been in love with Noelle for a long time but after a tragedy he blamed her and left now years later they come face to face in the clubhouse where she is applying to be a nanny, Noelle has been through he$$ for seven years and when she comes face to face with Cyprus everything is about to change. Love this book, series and author! I love all these characters and how all the books are intertwined with the different chapters and even the mafia. You would definitely need to have read the other books to have a clue what all the relationships are and who is related to who. But it’s such a good series you should do it anyways.
