But whether Romance or not, she loves to twist Alpha heroes and kick-ass heroines into chaotic, hilarious, fast-paced, magical situations and make them really work for their happy endings.

I enjoyed this well enough, yet there is something that just isn’t working for me in this spin-off series. I did like that we have a lot of the usual suspects back for this special occasion, but I do miss the Toronto/Ireland setting. I miss the Grove and it’s inhabitants, Myra’s bookstore, and even the other darker factions that Fi used to butt heads with at meetings. And I think I have just put my finger on one of the reasons that this second series is not quite as engrossing to me… the secret world of magic has been outed - and I liked all the secretive skullduggery antics that were employed to keep the humans from discovering that magic was real.
Anyway, as far as this book goes, it had dragons, new species, a petulant entity, more fighting than you could poke a stick at, and a serious personal revelation that has the potential to knock Clan Cumhail for a loop. Pretty good. Will definitely be picking up the next book to see what happens next.
As much as I hate to burn my much loved Ms Tempest and Mr. Anderle with less than 5 stars, I’ve got no choice. Even though I was keeping my eye on the percentage of book read, the end came up sideways out of the blue and smacked me silly.
That being said, clearly the story was far too engrossing for me to pay attention to silly little numbers like 99%. ***chuckles to himself for a few moments ***
Ok, with that out of my system let me tell you now that this is one for the ages. There’s a wedding, there is laughter, there are tears, a few horrendous battles, and, oh, lest I forget a massive kidnapping/hostage situation. Through all of it, the tone of this episode is decidedly lighter and far more joyous than some of the circumstances warrant, and yet it all fits seamlessly and organically. Did I mention the assassins? No? Well…? Enjoy!
Fi’s Team Trouble don’t have to travel for their next problem. This time it comes to them during a family celebration.
No! No! No! No ‘man’ should sleep in bed with the bride on her wedding night (cept maybe the groom). Very bad form. Sloan’s nuts. The whole rationale of her relationship life is messed up. Dionysus is not a pet. After all, she turns down Nikon’s advances, but allows Dionysus to be close?
Fave scenes: paintball game, Fi sorting through the list of species with Astrid, Eva cuddling Rory and the crystal search.
I love the combination of a kick ass heroine with a big heart and magical challenges. Her family of druids, friends, animal companions, Greek Demi- gods, witches, dragons and characters from mythology (Merlin, Dionysus, leprechauns, and shapeshifters to name a few), make for many fanciful adventures and battles. “Don’t mess with Team Trouble”. As always, a huge fan!
Fiona, new husband Sloan, and rest of family and friends save the hidden city.
The city which Emmett and Brendon have been trying to fix needs some extra help. When the wedding of Fi and Sloan is interrupted by the sentient city and a batch of cat people screaming for help. The city is forced to comply with the families wishes and they all get involved in a new fight to save the city and its new residents.
I really love Fi and her family and every new book always goes to the front of my TBR list. The family dynamics are so much fun and the stories are always full of adventure and humor and this one was no different. As usual I finished the book in one sitting and cannot wait for the next book to come out so I can once again immerse myself in their world.
I love all the little pieces of normal life happening. No huge big bad, just a wedding and trying to figure out life with some of the little interruptions that carry these stories along. Love how these are growing! I can't believe the writers have made this feel fresh and new again. Keep up the great work cuz I love these people!
These books are amazing! Great story with awesome characters both human and mythical. You can't help but read Sloan and the Cumhaill's dialogue with a bit of the Irish lilt. If you love strong female characters, romance, family bonding and all 'round love, and never ending adventures, you will love this series/book.
Of course the wedding doesn't go off without a hitch! As always, where Fiona is, trouble follows, and just because she's getting married, doesn't mean there won't be trouble. Emmet's island wakes up and complications ensue. Slower pace than the previous books but enjoyable all the same
This one was a little different and I loved it. It took the friends and family on a family adventure, We got to know the island better and new inhabitants. It is difficult since if I talk too much it will spoil the book. Suffice to say that it was a departure from the earlier books, but then they have all had their unique twists and doesn't feel like a boiler plate book.
Congratulations to Auburn Tempest and Michael Anderle for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such interesting and e,xciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
At last the big event is on us and Sloan is about to make an honest Woman out of Fiona. Yeah right. Nothing is easy for this couple and the usual shenanigans prevail. Couldn’t put the book down I was so disappointed when I got to the last page. Loved it.
As always I couldn't put it down. Read it in one go. This story only gets better and better. It's so easy to lose yourself in the story, to forget yourself and your problems for awhile.
Another awesome adventure with Fiona, family, and friends. I love this series! The characters and storylines do not disappoint. You will fall in love with this cast of characters.
Great characters, great story and fresh. The writing makes everything leap of the page and fuels the imagination. Thank you for continuing to provide awesome stories!
Totally love this series , character are so great, love the whole language ,just fun series . the stories are fantastic and writing just so much fun . giggled so much that I woke hunny. Please keep Fiona busy . tyty
Well, here I am at the end of another adventure with the Cool Irish family. Now, we are honeymoon'n. After all the adventures leading up to the wedding, being trapped in island paradise. With Vampires even. Incredible.
Like all of the stories this rocks with action was and humor. Fi and Sloan are about to tie the knot but not before things wild and hairy. The deed gets done but not before mayhem unfolds.
The whole family goes to the Hidden city for Fi and Slone's wedding what fun. Family games, friends, refugees and an interactive city rebooting. Just wait for the next unexpected thing to happen.
No details here...it is their wedding weekend...but we all know how things work for Fi and her famjam. Interesting storyline here, opened up possibilities for other books. Gotta keep reading!!!
A great alternative reality story and series. I have read the three companion pieces right now and I am enjoying reading the case files series. It’s full of action, entertainment, family, and mysteries.
Fiona always has the most amazing challenges. But her family and friends make sure she comes through all right in the end. And hilarity ensues to ensure that everyone has fun as well. 😄
If you have not received the message above and you are still why get this book and read it is much more interesting than my dribble so go and enjoy it and have fun. You still reading why I told you all you needed.
I can’t get over how great these books are! I can’t put it down! I live the characters, the plots, everything! The authors have done an amazing job at keeping us entertained, I usually burst out laughing at the right times!
BUT it appears everytime the author pauses (for a drink?) someone waggles their eyebrows. Never seen it happen in real life so many times and rarely at all.
they are a lot shorter than the first bunch...also they keep repeating the same stuff for the first few pages of the persons animals beings of all kinds and the dialect of different words in every book of this second round
Finally a wedding, I wonder if Merlin goes online and logs it in the human world. I hope Emmett finds someone new. Feel sorry for Sarah isn't she second choice from dani? Still think Fiona is to friendly with her friends
Another smashing hit, not a huge fan of the ending. It feels unfinished and unresolved; which is a little frustrating to someone like me definitely can’t wait for the next one though.
