I'm enjoying this series of books, this one was just as I have come to expect. Entertaining, funny, with a little murder on the side. I love the conversation with the animals, too funny.

Ice-Cold Killer is Book 5 in the Kara Hilder Mystery series by Jenna St. James.
I love this series!
Kara is on her first undercover assignment with the PADA with Zane. Too bad it's not some exotic location, but instead they are headed to Mystic Mountain Lake at the top of a mountain in Minnesota.
There is a retreat center there.
I absolutely LOVED this location; it was so fun, and the descriptions are fantastic, I felt freezing just reading it HA !
The mystery was really great, I really enjoyed the different couple's personalities that were at the retreat.
I love how the romance between Kara and Zane is moving along.
The ending really blew me away because I had not guessed who did it at all, and I thought I knew!
Such a fantastic series, I cannot wait for the next book int he series.

Another excellent adventure from Jenna St. James. Kara and Zane must act like a married couple undercover at a supernatural marriage counseling retreat to find out who is trying to kill a famous vampire actor. The possibilities are endless since the actor is quite obnoxious. Gingersnap the dog was hilarious since Kara can communicate with animals. There is a lot of great misdirection throughout the story. Excellent mystery with so many suspects and so many reasons. Great mention of Stephanie Damore’s Mystic Inn Mystery series. How great would it be to see a cross over by these wonderful authors and see Kara and Zane show up at Stephanie’s Inn! Can’t wait to find out more about the continuing mystery of who killed Kara’s mom. This series is so much fun to read.

Karas' first Paranormal Apprehension and Detention Agency brings her to a frozen tundra mountain top. Kara and Zane are housed in an igloo, surrounded by northern lights. Even though her preference for the beach, seeing the colors of the lights make it better. An interesting grouping of couples makes this mystery unpredictable. My favorite character in this book is a snarky yorkie who loves it that Kara can hear her talk, and wow does she ever. She is hysterically funny. I loved this book, a definite gotta read book.

Most of the team appear only at the beginning and end, it’s mainly Kara and Zane for this adventure.
If you’ve enjoyed the series so far, you’ll enjoy this quick to read addition to it, before the biggest mystery Kara needs to solve is up to bat.

Zane and Kara get called away to work undercover at a retreat to help married couples, one of the men narrowly missed being killed and the owners of the retreat are worried something will happen. Lots of twists and turns, unexpected accidents and affairs revealed and then not one but two murders. Lots of surprises as Zane and Kara investigate and at the very end a completely unexpected reveal of the murderer. Great story and a really good read.

This series has really kicked up my imagination and has me hanging on the edge of my seat while I’m reading it. I love the characters and the relationship that Kara and Zane have. There were a lot of different people with basically the same reason to kill this person. Which made it that much more fun to read, trying to figure out who done it! I can’t wait for the next book!

In the latest addition to Ms. St.James' Kara Hilder series, Ms. St.James brings Zane and Kara up on a mountain top in a PADA undercover assignment as a married couple. With a quickly paced plot, descriptive writing of this frigid setting (I was cold while reading it), only a few suspects and enough twists that kept me guessing, I quickly became hooked by the story. Another winner in this series!

Zane and Kara have to go undercover on a mountain retreat designed to fixed troubled marriages.
Kara is excited, this being her first undercover job with Zane. But the other couples attending are horrible. They were hired to prevent a murder from happening, now they need to figure out who would be the killer before it happens.
A must read!

Certainly feels like it...
It's like a bad episode of scooby doo with all the bragging about committing the crime and declaring I am going to have to kill you!
Also Kara was granted 2 hours mermaid time not 1 hour.

Awesome Good
I loved this book. The series is excellent with twisty clues and devilish crimes. The characters are real with emotions and relationships. The varied locations add to the fun! Highly recommend.

Ok. Another great story.
I still want more. The individual books in this series all have plots that are solved, giving closure. The life of Kara is still a mystery along with her mother's death. Can't wait to read the next book

Couldn't put it down!
So many suspects in one contained area with so many motives to do him in. The reveal was a huge surprise and I didn't see that coming. Great series!

Great Read
What a terrific combustion of humor, mistrust, and who done it. The story will keep you reading and the humor will keep you laughing. And the dog deserves his own book.

Cute series overall. A little lighter weight mystery thrown in. Definitely a cozy mystery format. Enjoyable and easy to read.

Totally enjoyed it! This is a well written and has well developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!

I was a bit let down with the predictability of this particular book in the series. There were a few continuity issues and there were more obvious giveaways of where the plot was headed.
