She was a damn sin, one I almost recklessly lost control over.

Bodyguard romance? Sign-me up!
Reckless Sin revolves around Nathan and Karina who are nothing but bodyguard and client. Or as they want to pretend. From the very first beginning we get to see that both of them are fascinated with each other but Nathan can't just hook up with his boss's daughter now, can he?
But with chemistry this strong how long will they be able to keep their hands to themselves?
The writing style of the author is very smooth and will keep the readers hooked till the end. I loved the little banters between Nathan and Karina.The only thing I want to say is that I was hoping for more moments between the MCs.
Besides all that, I had a great time reading this book and would surely read more of the author's work!

Who doesn’t love a book about love and danger? I enjoyed watching Nathan and Karina grow to become friends and then grow to be lovers and then watch them do it all over again a year later (IYKYK). Karina originally “hates” Nathan because when they first met, he rejects her advances. And later he still does but he’s super cocky and a big jerk, which makes her dislike him even more. But as they are forced to spend time together, they get to know each other more and start wanting to spend more and more time together. And of course, the attraction only gets worse 😝
There were a few twists and turns along this journey and it definitely kept me on my toes and wanting to read more. If you’re into books that have a little bit of danger and a little bit of spice, then this book is for you!

Reckless Sin is a story of true love overcoming anything.
For a debut novel, the author really hit it out of the park. A beautiful story involving a bodyguard and a model, this book is a beautiful story of what happens when two people are just really drawn together.
It has the perfect amount of spice, and can be considered a slow-burn novel, and a great pick for anyone who loves close-proximity and enemies-to-lovers, you'll love this book SO much.
I highly recommend this book. And when you get to chapter 35? Hot. That's all I'll say about THAT.

For a debut novel, Darlene did not disappoint! Her writing was engaging and she left me wanting more! The relationship between Nathan and Karina progressed nicely and the chemistry was off the charts.
While Karina’s character annoyed me a bit and she did seem just like a spoiled girl who had a woah is me attitude, I can understand that she has been through a lot. However, by the end I don’t think of her that way and that speaks the how the author wrote the book and Karina’s character development.
I loved the back and forth between the two of them and their banter. The pace and flow was pretty consistent throughout. I would have liked to see a bit more with the ending but Darlene wrapped it up in an engaging way that left me wishing the book was longer.

Gosh this book is everything! From hot delicious body guard to on the edge of your seat and let’s not forget those amazing motorcycle scenes which were my absolute favorite! I really enjoyed this debut novel the author hit it out of the park and I can’t wait to read more in this series.

I’m a damn sucker for bodyguard romances and this one was a good one.
The way he continues to check in on her to ask if she’s okay but then turn around and start teasing her, chefs kiss. As an up and coming author this sets a good foundation for her to build up on and just get better and better, I already can’t wait to see what more comes from her in the future.

I love their chemistry! The book has enough of everything: plot, steam, banter, cockiness (hello, Nathan, I’m looking at you, you sexy beast). Who doesn’t love a good asshole who is full of himself?! I know I do!
I loved them together. Enough chemistry to burn the building.

I think I just found my new favorite book! *insert heart eyes*
Nathan and Karina’s story is full of sassy banter, action-packed drama, and romance hot enough to melt a girl’s heart. It was an emotional roller coaster with so many turns that I didn’t see coming, and little Easter eggs about the other characters that had me smiling, that would only be really noticed by her Wattpad readers (mostly about Nathan’s family).
As far as bodyguard/Mafia romances go, you won’t be disappointed picking up Reckless Sin and falling for Nathan James Rainer.

The first half of this book is great. Light plot, little spice, all what you’d expect. Then halfway through all character development, realistic events/descriptions, and plot goes out the window. The story is all over the place and ceases to make any sense. Plus the MMC Nathan has literally one job- to be a bodyguard- and noneeee of his actions support that occupation. It’s incredibly unrealistic but not in a cute hallmark movie way which is disappointing because the idea has so much promise.

A bodyguard romance. Well, I do love those.
And it didn't disappoint. For a debut novel, the author did a great job.
The relationship between Nathan and Karina is rocky. As he withstands her advances a year before when she is drunk. When he returns and becomes her bodyguard, she wants nothing to do with him. Their banter back and forth is great. Their relationship develops naturally through the story. Building trust and emotional growth are part of the journey and it's what makes this story so nice. Liked the plot and the easy flow this story has. Well done, Darlene.

Can I tell you how much I screamed when reading this book? Too many to count. Immediately you're pulled into the story as the first sentences that come from Nathan. He's your bodyguard and he's good at his job. His fault? He cares too much about the ones that get close to him so he pushes them away. Cue Karina. She tempts him in more ways than one, slowly breaking down each of his walls. He can't let her in without risking her safety and those around them. You'll ride the rollercoaster of emotions with this book as they fight their feelings for each other. You won't see any of the twists coming. I can't recommend this book enough!
