I started this book yesterday afternoon and I finished it this morning… OMG I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!!!

I’m not giving any spoilers

Beautifully written the characters set up, plot.., listen this was such a easy read the storyline just flowed. SERIOUSLY!!

James was giving Aldis Hodge vibes!! That’s it that’s all…

Tiffany GURL the way she and I had our own little conversations in between the pages.

Delivered on all the feels somebody was DEFINITELY cutting onions. A whole bushel of them at one point gggssshhhhhhh. I laughed out loud, talked back to the book, just all the vibes all the feels.

Now let me get started on book 2 I am SO GLAD I bought the first 3 books of the series together.

KENNETH SUCKS!

What can I say without spoiling anything? I love ALL the characters - EXCEPT KENNETH! Oh, the cuss words I have for him. I’ll have to go to church each and every Sunday. And California seems like the place to go if you want a man who knows what kind of woman he wants. I enjoyed these successful men with big egos who weren’t afraid to be vulnerable - EXCEPT KENNETH! There were times when I got mad at the female main character like girl seriously! Big eye roll! But I found myself invested, laughing, & cheering people on. It’s worth the read. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this book. It’s a quick and easy read and a story of resilience in a woman who lost herself to an awful man. I really enjoyed the storyline and the strength that Tiffany found for herself rather than being rescued. I also really enjoyed the perspective of a black woman in America, it’s a view that I am working to get more exposure too. Also, shout out because Tiffany is from Wisconsin and that’s home to me 😂 I strongly recommend this book for a heartwarming story of resilience and strength! I will definitely be picking up the next book!

Nice

I liked this story. Even with the full blow herd husband, the story was good. I was tired of the disrespect by said button wipe, but Tiffany has to own her part when she allowed the dirt bag to continue. James, and his savior complex was too funny, and Denise was my favorite boss lady baddie. Shade turned out to be the true friend Tiffany needed. A good first-time read by this author. I will be back for part two and three!

Nice read

I enjoyed the read, it wasn't my favorite but I was glad to see Tiffany grow because I was really unsympathetic to her situation. Even her pov on her marriage was like what did you expect. James gave very much captain save a hoe vibes. But it was well written, I will try another book from this author.

The first chapters had me overwhelmed, didn't feel the 'instant attraction' between the characters, but as I got deep into the story, I enjoyed every bit.
So much drama and I loved it!
Tiffany and James story made me laugh a lot towards the end. It's a cheating story, but was good. Highly recommend.

Awesome read

I'm not a fan of the cheating trope but the slow build up to understanding the characters and their circumstances is well written. It felt a bit rushed towards the end and not as spicy as I would have liked.

Other than that, I enjoyed it and will be reading Shade's book and hopefully, Bryce and Denise get a story

Very good.

Where do I began, Kenneth and Tiffany started out wrong. This book had me looking at both characters with the side eye. Tiffany was crazy to accept a marriage proposal without knowing Kenneth. Kenneth was so arrogant and career driven he was crazy. James comes along and get in the middle of this circus of a marriage. This was a good read.

This book was a fun exploration of a woman who has made a very bad decision and decides to correct the course of her life. If you like watching a character grow, evolve, and come into her own, this book is for you!

Love. I once read this article in a magazine about love. Mind you it was a very very long time ago. I’m pretty sure I still have this article. Cut it out of the magazine, folded it up, stuck it in a book. I’ve ... too many books. Flipping through the pages of all those books — not gonna happen.

So what I have is my vague recollection of this article. It broke love down into stages. I don’t remember the actual names used for the stages but it started with what heretofore I will be referring to as “hot and heavy.”

Mila Hunt’s First Time tell the story of Tiffany and James. And though life had set them on very different paths, it’s that intersection moment when they meet and attraction sparks that we get to witness.

All those hormones raging, seeping out of your pores like sweat. From that starting point there are two paths, complacency with a large dose of indifference or a bonding of two people moving beyond attraction and finding a lasting love.

It is Tiffany’s story we follow. When she stumbles, we don’t want her, or rather, I don’t want her to get caught and rescued. I want to watch as she stands tall, head held high and struts.

And though she’s gone down the path of hot and heavy before, to devastating results, I’m still rooting for her to get it right this second time, for the first time.
