Nice continuation of the story.

I'm enjoying this series. Takes me out of reality in a way I can appreciate. I like the headings within the chapters. They remind me of the "boom boom" sound effects on Law and Order between scenes. I like how she uses her "magick" to get evil people off the streets. Definitely a fun read in that sense.

A Quick Fun Read

Martina was getting things together with her inheritance and setting up her PI business. Then a feeling of malaise came over her as she was trying to figure out her feelings for the three men who had come into life. Attacks, anxiety, and amnesia ensue. I like the action, humor, and romance. I look forward to the next book.

Enjoying This Series!

This is the 2nd book in this series. Martina Spencer is a retired Las Vegas homicide lieutenant who finds herself in New Orleans. A lot happened in this book that surprised me. Overall, it's a great story with likable and interesting characters. I am eager to read the book in this series!

I read this book in one day or less than 8 hours, but didn’t realize there were less pages to read than the first book. With so many different men in Martina’s life on top of her first gig as a PI it’s a little confusing where the story line is going. I can’t decide if I want to buy the next book or just wait.

I'm hooked. Martina is a witch. She is also a retired homicide detective from Las Vegas. Not knowing what to do with the next step in her life, she's become a private eye. I love how this story takes it into stride so that she can cast spells. Wouldn't anyone want to do that? I'm quite a bit older than the folks in the story, but enjoyed it just the same.

Crazy beginning of p.i.

Now that she has inherited her friends stuff she is determined to make a go of being a p..I. since being in new Orleans she has not been short on men. Right now she's enjoying the 3 different men and figuring out which one is for her, but thankfully she has backup and a ghost to talk things through, except one day when everything went very bad.

Already attached to Midlife Magic

Carolina Mac mixes the perfect recipe for adventure and magic. The characters grab my attention immediately! I love a good mystery from the view of law enforcement, family and of course, their pets!

Great follow up

This was a great follow up to the first story, I was gutted when it ended. I can’t work out where the relationships Martina has are going. I’m sad there is only. One more book, this would make a great series.

Unexpected

Totally didn’t see that coming, but the story is so good, even with a cliffhanger! The characters have real depth and I feel as if I’m right there. On to book 3 because I have to know what happens next.

Short, fun romance-mystery

The characters introduced in the first book develop more dimension and depth. We get a few new characters. I want to read more from this author.
