Contended that one should not fall for the deception known as "personality" since people are only acting in accordance with their belief systems. Even less informative are others' appraisals of one's personality, as they reflect the others' belief systems and have nothing to do with one's true identity.
The argument that individualism is evidence of a lack of higher degrees of abstraction in thinking also makes an excellent point.
I also find it fascinating that the author uses the Buddhist perspective (「缘起」、「空」) to explain that human beings are ever-changing beings. 「你」这个人是在与他者(人、事、物)维持关系的前提下才得以成立,还会随着与他者之间的关系变化逐渐改变。
