This felt soooo looong and sooooo repetitive

While there were parts of this book that I liked, overall the FMC, the lack of plot depth and the over abundance and redundancy of the sex scenes couldn’t bring my rating over 3 stars.
Let’s start with what I liked: this author had a captivating writing style - though she could learn how to use a comma- overall she kept a good pace and equal POV in her storytelling and I was engaged with the content for the most part.
Secondly, the side characters owned this book, each of them wise, insightful, richly described and yet did not overwhelm the main characters. Many times a side character (Goldie, Atticus, Nancy, and even Miller) would add balance to a scene and say out loud what I, as a reader, was thinking. So I felt very validated by them 😂.
Thirdly, Beau was an endearing, sweet cinnamon roll of a hero. He was mature and yet boyish and I lived for him and his Jetpack’s moments. One thing though, as mature as he seemed and deep as he was, I ultimately couldn’t fully understand his motivations for dating Beck other then her huge boobs and ability to produce milk and serve his sexual needs.
Now on to the more problematic elements of this book.
BECK!
By far the worst FMC I have read in a long while. This woman could not see what was in front of her and kept seeking some ideal with her ex husband that I don’t believe ever existed. That and her complete self absorption was a lot to take. Everything was about her. Everyone was there to serve or cater to her. Her best friend was going through something but Beck mostly ignored her unless she needed advice or someone to unload all her issues on. Her boyfriend put her and her son first in all things and she did nothing but weaponize his age to him, lie to him and then distract him with sex. I couldn’t root for her, and if I can’t root for one of the main characters, unfortunately the book is not going to get high ratings from me. No matter how compelling the writing, this is romance and I need to like both leads to want them to be together.
Next the plot. It was lacking. The main conflict in the story was Beck’s issues getting in the way of them being together. Unfortunately that is not enough meat to drive an entire full length book. As a result, the same notes kept getting played over and over. Beck would feel insecure and text or contact her ex, then hide it from Beau. This ended up being a huge frustration for the reader, we’ve done this already, can she learn her lesson and move on? She had the same ‘come to Jesus’ conversation with her best friend three times! I started to skim midway through as it just kept happening. I needed more to bulk this story up. Perhaps actually including what Goldie was going through in the narrative would have been enough as a side story. Or instead of having Beck continually chase Dusty, have Dusty do some shitty external stuff so we could have an actual villain we were fighting against. Other than him showing up once, for which reasons were never given, Dusty was mostly just a figment of Beck’s issues.
Lastly, the sex. Yes it was titillating at first to read about a not so often seen kink, but it got SOOOO REPETITIVE! Every few pages was another sex scene of them fucking while he nursed from her. It honestly could somewhat be because this kink didn’t do anything for me, but also some of the mechanics didn’t work in my mind either. I couldn’t work out the choreography of the scenes. One describes Beck jacking Beau off while he fingers her but still had his head in her lap sucking both her breasts. How did that even work unless he was Gumby or his penis was detachable?

Anyway I did like this author enough that I will read the next in the series and hope to hell she can produce a better FMC and a bit more plot.

I’ve never read a book with so much lactation kink. I liked it 😳

This was a solid 3, 4, 3.5⭐️ read (I am now very conflicted LMAO). Despite the cover being…not great, I enjoyed this a lot! It almost felt like a comfort read. Since it’s a contemporary novel, there are no outrageous scenes (ridiculous yes, I will get to that later). You get a very heartfelt love story.

Beau (MMC) was a delight to read, and considering how his first 4 words to Beck (FMC) were “calm down” and “be quiet,” I wasn’t expecting to love him lmao. But this goes to show how well written he was. He completely did a 180 after he realized how horrible he talked to her. He, and his male coworker, held himself accountable and made sure he knew that wasn’t acceptable at all. He got his shit together and from there…the perfect cinnamon roll. He was loving, doting, beyond caring. An absolute joy to read.

Beck was different, a little more difficult to read about. It felt like her and Beau’s ages were reversed. She’s a 37 year old woman who tried to come across pragmatic yet continually projected her insecurities onto Beau as excuses to not get close. Then she made a massive stink about Beau keeping something from her, even if it really didn’t affect either of them. What’s ironic is right after that, she did the same thing she was mad at Beau for, lied to his face, and then proceeded to keep it a secret for two months, among other things that made me grind my teeth. There was absolutely no reason for any of it. It was so dumb (and you’ll understand why when you read it or if you read my highlights- I rant more about her there). It’s like it was just used to cause a bit of angst or give her more internal strife. I was so frustrated y’all. The hypocrisy was real. I did, however, enjoy that she finally felt valued, appreciated, respected, beautiful, and loved. It’s so great to see her start to think those things about herself. I also really liked that we got a FMC engaging in dirty talk, it’s so rare! It also happened in about 40%+ of the sexy times.

Because we got a pretty equal amount of dual POV, it was super hard for me to believe Beck’s reasonings for doing what she does, pushing him away, and tbh patronizing him (just not to his face) since Beau wore his heart on his sleeve the whole book. He was literally like a perfect human being. I hate not caring much for a FMC yet loving a MMC, but this was just ridiculous 😭

I really enjoyed how everything else played out. I think Beau and Jett were the cutest, you can tell he loved that lil baby right away and only had his and Becks best interests at heart. This did feel like a book that didn’t need to be as long as it was, yet it did really well covering day to day life of the characters going to work, spending time together at home, interacting with the baby. That helped a lot make me feel the love between them.

The sex scenes were hot and unique. I guess I gotta explore this kink more in other books now. Sigh *opens TBR*

I am pleasantly surprised by this and I will keep my eye out for more books by Daisy Jane.

When her car’s air conditioner dies, 37-year-old, Rebecca Reid makes her way into the local Wrench Kings.

In a bad place emotionally, drowning in his grief, the mechanic, Beau Burns, does not make a good first impression. He is, however, immediately taken with her.

I’ll be honest. The hard-to-find kink is what drew me in, but the sweet evolution of their romance kept me reading. Beau is one of the most sincere and patient, not to mention persistent heroes I’ve read. He was a perfect match for the quick-witted single mom, Beck.

The sexual build-up is i•n•t•e•n•s•e. I feel like I’ve been edged to within an inch of my life!! Once they broke the seal, all bets were off. 🥵 70%… I don’t even know what to do with except add it to my spänk bank.

*4.5* This story was surprisingly good, don't let this silly cover fool you. It has a ton of heart and some of the most realistic and steamy lactation kink out there.

✔️Reverse age gap (H26/h37)
✔️Divorced, single mom
✔️Hero who doesn't give up
✔️Adorable baby
✔️Steamy kinks
✔️Dirty talk on point

This author knows what it feels like to be a single mom, the late nights, the utter exhaustion, the complete love, the hormones, the diaper changes, the teething, the leaky boobs!! Even the kink felt genuine rather than just there for thrills. It comes about naturally and gets hotter as the book goes on.
“Drink me,” I whisper, arching my back to better accommodate his mouth. His groan is feral and raw, and he reaches between his legs to feel where his cock sinks into me as he begins to suck.
This story (and hero) felt like a gift to every single mom out there.

Beau it was a wonderful hero, if not an unrealistically perfect one. Beck annoyed me with her back-and-forth attitude. Although I get her concerns with the age gap, I didn't understand why she kept trying to communicate with her ex. Other than that, this book was really sweet, kinky, and fun to read!!

The Wild One is both a sweet, steamy, reverse age gap romance and an emotional story where the two main characters are each a little lost because of recent life changes. We learn in the prologue that Beau (H) has recently lost his father and was told a secret on his dad's deathbed that has devastated him and sent him into a spiral (using alcohol to numb). When we then meet Beck (h), she's a recently divorced, now single mom who's moved to be close to her parents and dealing with not only the sole parenting of an infant, but also the upheaval of her dreams of a family unit. The story is written in first person, dual POV. No ow drama, some minor om drama with the ex husband, neither were virgins, and bc discussed/used.

I loved their romance and especially that Beau falls first and is sweetly persistent in his pursuit of a relationship with both Beck and her son, Jett (who he calls Jetpack and I melted each time). The parenting scenes were incredibly relatable, like the first time that Jett gets sick, I remember how scary that was with my own babies. This is also a steamy and kinky book (lactation kink) with plenty of dirty talk and it worked for them.

Character development wise, both have some growth they have to experience and there's a real sense of coming to terms with their identity. Grief also plays a consistent role in the story. The story did read a little slow for me at times because of what these two were navigating and some of it was repetitive with them getting stuck. Beck was also hesitant and caused some issues in their relationship development for longer than I liked because of the 11 year age gap and being stuck on the idea that Jett needed a relationship with his father when the ex kept refusing one. But Beau shows her time and again that love is what makes a family, which is a beautiful message.

This is the first book in a new series so multiple side characters are introduced in Beau's auto shop and I'm pretty sure Beck's BFF will be the heroine of her own book. The supportive friendships are big in this story and I loved that too. Best of all, the book wraps up all the threads and gives a fantastic extended epilogue 4 years out that was heart meltingly adorable. I really loved that even though this little family will likely show up in future books in the series, we got to see their complete HEA in this book.

i must be in some kind of mood because I'm at 40% and i'm so BOREDDDDDDDDDDDD. Shes a single mom who is getting out of a marriage with a dude that wants nothing to do with his son (he's 8 months old). he is getting over some kind of secret that his dad told him before the dad died and he turns to alcohol for warmth and snuggles. while throwing up everywhere. cool cool.

i will say beau is super super cute with the baby and the baby is super duper cute with how taken he is with beau. but at 40%.....theres nothing much happening except she's driving him around in a pseudo uber even though it seems like hes loaded (with money, not poop) and calls on her to drive him everywhere. and she gets sick and the baby gets sick.

that's it. that's about all thats happened so far. maybe i'll come back to this, maybe not. maybe i need a slasher type book because i need SOMETHING HAPPENING and she just got back from a hospital stay for her feverish baby........shiet, that happens to me in real life on the REG. i don't wanna read about it too!

Edited to add: sigh. I finished this. I should have dnfed. The age thing is repeatedly repeated until the end. How effing annoying. She acts like being 37 is geriatric and in a nursing home. Jaysus. Yes, hes 26. So what????!! She's quietly texting and communicating with the ex husband til about 89% and fights her feelings due to the age thing for efffingggg ever!!! Ugh.

There's not much story to this book. The age thing is shoved into your throat until you gag 😂😂

I really really loved where violets bloom and with force but this was a miss for me

Wowza.. quite a ride!

I like Daisy Jane more and more with each book. This is a series that gives me the butterflies and gets the lady bits tingling. I love how her stories embrace k!nky goodness and bring it into "real" relationships. With babies and parents and jobs... The Wrench Kings brings the swoon as well!

Beau and Beck are both going through some things and they meet each other when neither of them are at their best (especially Beau!). Yet thankfully, that doesn't stop them from getting a second chance.

Beau was SO swoony with Beck and her little man. Watching him fall equally for them both was such a highlight. Just riveting. I also LOVED the k!nk in this one. Which is something new for them both. Check the author's site to see if this type of spice is for you OR just jump right in and explore it with them on the page.

Finally, I read this via an audio book and it was narrated by Jason Clarke & Daisy Jane herself! It was brilliant and it was a duet. Just the best.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: reverse age gap, single mom
Angst: 😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (an extra 🔥 for that lactation “thing” that starts with k and rhymes with ink, lol)

Super sweet slow burn that nearly made my kindle explode, lol. Beau is stewing in depression and alcohol when he meets single mom, Rebecca Reid who is 10 years his senior and NOT interested in his train wreck when they first meet. Beau gets his life together and doggedly pursues Rebecca until she finally caves to the super charming mechanic.

There are just so many things I liked about this book! Beau is just super sweet and giving and really just trying so hard to be the person Rebecca needs him to be. Rebecca is super relatable as the divorced mom who's trying so hard, but still sad for the what should have beens for her child. And the smexy. Good lordy, lol. Learned things about myself I didn't know 🙈. I definitely recommend The Wild One as a deliciously slow to scorching treat!

Beau is a wreck. His dad has died and left him with a death bed confession that he has NO idea how to deal with. So he does the mature thing and blow a year drinking vodka and getting pissed. Hey- he's 26 so his brain is not fully formed :)

We forgive him because he is PRECIOUS. As is Jett, Jetpack, Jetster- lots of cute and sweet moments in this story. And whew- this is a spicy read! Very hot and really great. Lactation kink warning (if you need it).

Trying to picture Beau based on the description in the book is patchy and I was confused between the Brando & young Depp references coupled with that (not very strong? Didn't fit?) cover. We are assured he is hot though :)

Beck (Rebecca)- it was hard to get a good idea of what she looked like since there were not so flattering descriptions from her about herself, so yes- why on earth is Beau interested in her? I just couldn't get a strong picture of her in my mind. Anyway, she struggles to understand why a younger man wants her, especially as "damaged goods". Its a struggle- a valid one.

What would have made this a 5 for me would be? I think shorter, for some odd reason the book felt a little dragged out. Which is weird since I don't like the "insta" very much. Timelines seemed a little off for me, we were at 2 months for Jett's birthday but then it was the best month of her life?

And Beck made some choices here and there which irritated me. Why not take the hottie at his words? Maybe having a kid in the picture can definitely make you more cautious in opening up to someone.

I didn't have that scenario in my life, but a light bulb went off in my head. This story did hit me since my hubs is 11 years older than me. So I now understand why he tried to set me up with his friends and how he felt, telling me he didn't want to get involved since he had lots of baggage (divorce, kids). I told him Pshaw- he was stuck with me :)

Bravo to Ms. Jane for helping me see the other side. And it was appreciated to see Beau's dad loving him and Beau seeing his love for Jett.

These stars are for Beau and Jett and their adorable bond ONLY! Idk where to start with this. Well okay firsty, this had barely any plot and the plot that slightly existed was completely flawed and tbh unnecessary. The FMC was so annoying OMG, she was constantly defending her trash ex even though that mf cheated on her AND signed away his parental rights! Beau, our MMC, deserved so much better imo. This was unnecessarily long for a book with almost only smut, weird kinks, okay not weird but they were written weirdly and made me uncomfortable. I've never read about nursing/lactation kink and idk if I ever want to after this. It was also extremely repetitive, like miss girlie we get it you're insecure blah blah blah but for the love of god get a grip you're 37! She was acting way more immature than the MMC who is 11 YEARS YOUNGER! I'm actually quite intrigued about some side characters but I'm still slightly traumatised so idk if they ever actually get a book if I'll be able to get back into this world. Anyway, this was my rant review, I hope it was helpful.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I LOVED this book. Like….. loved it. Lactation kink? Yes please. Reverse age gap? Amazing. An amazingly sweet, body positive, dirty talking man…. with a bit of a breeding kink thrown in? Absolutely. This was sweet and hot. This was so well written! Totally recommend!

I really liked this reverse age gap. The recently divorced fmc moves back to be closer to Her parents. She’s has a baby and her scum bag cheating ex husband gave up parental rights and has never seen him. The H has recently lost his father and has been binge drinking for the last year. They meet at Wrench King when her car ac fails. He’s drunk and tells her to be quiet but not in a
Mean way. She gets irritated and he falls in love. He makes an immediate turn around and pursues her like crazy. He is a great mmc. He’s 26 and she’s 37… of course y’al there’s the milk kink but there was so
Much story before we even got to that at around 50%. HEA.

Plot ⭐⭐⭐⭐️
Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Dual 1st person POV - Beck & Beau

Tropes: small town, age gap (26 & 37), single mother, hidden identity (mild)

Kinks: nursing, light choking (mostly she likes to feel him swallow), breeding

Alright the blurb for this is pretty straightforward so I will just jump into my thoughts about this story. I LOVED it. Beau is 26 but oh so mature and wise for his age. Beck is 37 and lost. Single mother to an 8 month old and moving to be closer to her parents after a heartbreaking divorce, she is looking for stability. Beck hasn't given up on her dreams of an epic love though but is reluctant to give Beau a chance because he is so young. I will say the reason I docked half a star is because I wanted to smack Beck upside the head at multiple points. She kept getting in her own way and making decisions that I knew were going to bring more heartbreak in the future. For being 37 I wanted to shake her til she started acting her age. She was also making a lot of assumptions about Beau and his future based solely on his age, to which I think she was projecting her own insecurities onto him which wasn't fair. I'm so glad Beau just stayed consistent and didn't give up on her. Goldie is a great friend and not only was there for Beck physically but she gave her the tough love speech and set her straight a few times throughout the book. She's a good friend. Goldie and the other side characters were well developed and their woes and troubles were mentioned enough to set the scene for their own books, which I'm very excited about!

The revelation about Beau towards the 75% mark wasn't shocking since it's hinted at multiple times. The way they handled it when it finally came to head was mature and I'm glad Daisy didn't use a miscommunication/lie by omission like that to spark a 3rd act breakup.

Not only was the spice FREQUENT but it was KINKY. It's more of a medium burn but once it gets started, it is descriptive and consistent. There are multiple nursing scenes and they have discussions with each other on why it's different from breastfeeding a baby and how intimate it is. The dirty talk on both sides was also 🔥 sizzling 🔥.

Definitely give this one a chance if you like a small town, single parent romance ❤️

This book had no business being that good (and hot, too).
Beau Burns, Nuevo book boyfriend para moiiiiii. Whew, todavía tengo que ordenar mis pensamientos, porque mis emociones las tengo claras.

He says my name, and suddenly, it all makes sense. Graham loved me like I was his because I was his. The same way I love Jett because he’s mine. Maybe he told me as a way to teach me about love, and how it doesn’t have to look a certain way. I don’t know. But I feel my dad more than I have in a long time as I stand there on the Wrench Kings shop floor, swaying with my boy. 🥹💖

to put it simply, this book was just so real! average people, in everyday situations, and personal issues that affect not only them but the relationships around them.
beau dealing with the loss of his fathers and the secrets reveled before his death, and beck being new to a town with an eight month old baby on her hip

even though they are regular, everyday people, it wouldn’t be a daisy jane book with an interesting…kink🥛

this is my second time listening to one of daisy’s book and i absolutely adore that she narrates her own books! maybe its because she knows exactly how she wants certain things said, BUT SHE PERFORMS! a great author and a great narrator, a big slay in my book

along with daisy killing it, we had jason clarke doing what he does best😩 there’s just something about that man’s voice! y’all know🤭

thank you to Forever and Always PR and Daisy Jane for the ALC🧡

r/RomanceBooks promised me mommy milkers which were a given. And then there's the older woman/younger man that I go absolutely insane for.

It's sad though that the FMC is one of the most unlikable people I've ever read in a contemporary novel. She's selfish and a bad mother. All her excuses to get back into contact with her ex has been "for the benefit of their child" when one of the BIGGEST messages in this book is that biological family doesn't mean a better family.

The MMC has been grappling with both his father's death and a deathbed confession, trying to figure out why his father kept him all these years when he was never his biological son. Well WHOMP look at this, a foil! BC MMC wants to raise FMC's son as his own, he loves this child like it's actually his!! Which makes him realize that he's still his father's son and his father is still his father even though they don't share blood!! Would you look at that???

FMC keeps chasing her cheating, drug addicted, alcoholic ex 🥴🥴 they had a toxic relationship and she's obsessed with the idea of her kid having his bio dad in his life, because she wants to have a traditional nuclear family. She NEEDS him to have his deadbeat dad, who relinquished all parental rights. Like what the hell? There's this great guy who loves you and your kid, but you want your baby daddy?

Well, she's in luck. Because despite the 400 pages of the MMC being absolutely devoted to FMC and FMC not believing it, we get to the epilogue where the ex has redeemed himself by putting through rehab that the MMC paid for, and is now showing up to his kid's birthday party once a year. He's now a part of this "family." He shows up 1 day a year and they don't even tell the kid that's his bio dad. Wanna know why? BECAUSE STEPDAD MMC IS A MUCH BETTER FATHER. WHY WOULD YOU LET THIS GUY NEAR YOUR LITERAL CHILD? Anyway some people shouldn't be moms and this is an example of it.

At least she's got lactating tits 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ since that's what it means to be a mom, right? /sarcasm

MMC deserves better. That's it. That's the tweet (or is it the X? God I hate the Twitter rebrand). He's kind and sweet and a total golden retriever who's going through some stuff. I wondered if any internalised misogyny was why I gave him a pass and not the FMC, but no she really did suck so much (bADUM TSS), that I'd have given this 1 star if the MMC there to make the book bearable

A note on the sex scenes: I skipped every sex scene after the adult breastfeeding scene, not because I was squicked out, because rest assured, I am a fan, but because I really wanted it to end. And I have decided that this novel was a waste of my time.

I really disliked pretty much everything about Beck. She really thought she could do no wrong and crying would get her out of “trouble”. She acted like a child! And it was pretty pathetic how often she went back to Dustin. Beau is amazing but she is not worthy of him and she still hung up over her ex and brings him up all the time like all the time and never stops complaining that her ex left her!
Lastly I hated the epilogue and how the ex husband was magically redeemed in the strangest way possible.

🎧🎧AUDIO REVIEW🎧🎧

I feel like a broken record when it comes to audiobooks that are over 8 or 9 hours, but it just needs to be said. Twelve+ hours is a looooooong time, and it becomes even longer when the plot is superficial. So, while I liked this story, it also equal parts frustrated me. I want to say this is a me thing and completely subjective, but is it? Anyone that has read the story has to know that Beck’s overall behavior was very repetitive and not in the best interest of anyone moving forward in a romantic relationship. And you must know that using sex as a means to mask of color over your relationship issues is not healthy and ultimately will not work in sustaining a relationship. Now that I type this, maybe it is me that thinks these things and not the general public *shrug* LOL Well, me or not me, it was really difficult to root for this couple. Half the time I didn’t even respect them … Beck for doing it and Beau for taking it. That is basically how I got to a 3 STAR rating.

Now, let’s talk about other parts of this book that were a highlight for me. These are the things that kept me listening for 12+ hours :)

✔️Exceptional job showcasing small-town shenanigans and the family of choice that surrounds the story and well done on the introduction of said characters without just throwing them in but giving us a clear picture of who they were, all while not distracting from the main focus of the story, Beau & Beck, and Jett. They really enhanced my overall enjoyment of this story and I’m looking forward to getting to their stories soon!

✔️Beau’s growth from the man showcased at the very beginning of the story to the man who would do anything and everything to make Beck happy and see herself as the woman he saw her as was realistic and fleshed out perfectly. His character I very much rooted for even though he did keep allowing Beck to … sigh … she was a lot LOL The relationship/bond that grew between him and Jett was very endearing and a complete #swoonfest in my opinion.

✔️I know that I’ve already mentioned the plot coming across as superficial and repetitive, but I’d like to point out that there were many instances where I felt that the author actually did this on purpose LOL and not because she was trying to drag the story. Beck’s personality was one of self-deprecation and self-sabotage and those two mindsets aren’t ones that can be fixed with a snap of a finger. Meeting a good man who treats who right doesn’t just snap a person out of this mental state. It takes treating that person *right* over and over again and in the meantime, that good man has to have the patience of a saint and keep coming back over and over again. Hence, the whole rinse / repeat of the plot. So, while it is a factual statement that I was frustrated as a reader, the story itself justified itself many times over. Are you confused yet? It very much confused me at times but it is what it is. LOL Do with that information what you will :)

✔️ Narration by Jason Clarke and the author, Daisy Jones, was music to my ears! I almost always enjoy Jason and it was good to get acquainted with not just a new-to-me-author, but narrator as well. Their voices intermixed really well together and brought the story to life for me in a way where it was enhanced.

Last, but not least, I have a small sidenote… Don’t downplay a fever of 105 on a child that is less than 1 year of age. It just makes you look completely ridiculous and make me #twitchy!

Ok everyone, say it with me LET👏🏼DUSTIN👏🏼 GO👏🏼
OMG not every character needs to be redeemed! Dustin! Did not need to be redeemed! Having him even included in the epilogue ruined the epilogue, but having him redeemed and part of the family!!! In the epilogue just straight up pissed me off.

Beau was such an amazing hero, and the stupid heroine did NOT deserve that sweet man. She and her precious Dustin can ride off into the sunset together to never be seen or heard from again, since she was so desperate for him.

I wish Beau had gotten a much better heroine because I just loved him he was literally perfect. So it’s said I can’t rate this five stars because the heroines desperation for her ex husband was just mind boggling and so incredibly annoying.

5 stars for beau and Jett and none for the heroine I literally don’t even remember her name that’s how much I couldn’t stand and didn’t care about her

- i don’t get it. He’s been a horrible alcoholic for a year and all of a sudden he’s ok?
- she keeps assuming that because she was ignorant at his age, he must be the same way
-this guy has developed both a breast milk AND feet kink??? lol
- I know she’s being protective of her and her kid but that was really harsh…. Again. Her own insecurities and projecting it on him
- he’s made it very obvious he doesn’t want a relationship with Jett… so why do you keep pushing it? I think it’s time to stop personally. This guy is a DICK. Why would he be a good idea in Jett’s life??
- I can’t. I can’t do this anymore. Life is too short to force myself to read it. I can’t believe I’m DNFing in the middle of a sex scene
- ok nvm. I didn’t DNF I ended up reading ahead. And I HATED IT AND HER EVEN MORE

Jesus. H. Roosevelt. Christ.

That was so hot I'm tempted to go back and count the actual pages of spice because it was. Yeah. I loved how eager Beau was to please Beck. I love when a man falls in love with a child in a single mom romance and decides to commit to them and be a family. So good.

Well geez. Guess I have to add a new kink shelf for lactation since it was never something I thought I’d be into reading about but hot damn Daisy Jane did a great job with it.
This is my first time reading her books and now I’m about to download several of her series on KU.

In this story, Beau (26), is secretly a millionaire, CEO, and regular mechanic of his late father’s car shop franchise. He’s spent the last year being rocked after his father’s death and upon meeting Beck (37), he decides to turn his life around and stop drowning his grief in booze.

Beck, whose asshole ex husband served her divorce papers the same day she told him she was pregnant and then proceeded to sign over all parental rights, is trying to raise her 8 month old son, Jett, with the of her parents while she figures her life out.

She’s driving for a ride share app and to spend time with her in the beginning, he hires her to drive him to and from work every day for weeks until she agrees to go out with him.

Watching Beau fall head over heels in love with Jett and almost instantly feeing like a dad to him was utterly precious and Beck would get emotional and turned on when he showed how much he loved her son. It was a book that really portrayed that single mother aspect well.

Their chemistry is off the charts and since she’s still breastfeeding her son and he (obviously) has an absence of any maternal figure in his life, they discover together that nursing Beau is extremely erotic and romantic for them both.

There are so many great steamy scenes throughout the story and the drama of her ex husband and his dead father’s family secret keeps the story moving in a well paced manner.

Kinks: Give this one a try, even if lactation has not previously been your “thing”, but especially if you a light sprinkling of breeding IS your thing. 😉

4.5 ⭐️ Ngl I’m doing this on my 3rd reread 🤣. But ok. I love this book I really do. And Beau is an absolute sweetheart. Caring and understanding and the way he is with Jett or I should say Jetpack 😩 is just, my heart. One thing I did not see coming was the lactation kink. I should’ve but nope didn’t even pop into my head. Now ok loved it yes but I mf swear I wanted to strangle her so many times. Once you read it you’ll see if and if you’ve read it you definitely know why. I just I fucking swear if I could chuck a shoe at her head I would. Maybe that’ll knock some fucking sense into her cause goddamn.

I’m not giving this a rating bc I’d give it between 3 and 5 depending on my mood lmao. It was a fun one though!
