First and foremost, deadpan, I want a club like Veil. A. Woo. Ga.
Secondly, this book is fantastic middle on the shades of romance spectrum. You get some light and you get some of the dark and slightly twisted, some suspense. You get age-gap, possessive alpha, and a little nod, to a great favorite of mine, mafia. I will say mind any triggers toward violence against women. Our villain here is..well…I can’t think of any tame words to describe that guy or any tame modes of action I’d have against him if he weren’t a character on a page.
Thirdly, the spicy scenes with a little Dom/sub structure are a good 3 Thai chilis. I felt the heat in my cheeks. Hell, writing this and reminiscing about those scenes had me needing to get my hair up off my neck.
Lastly, because it’s about time I shut up before I end up spoiling, M.A., you beautiful creature, I hope you write more like Veil. It’s my jam!

Veil is a perfect mixture of Dark and light. Makayla is a hopeless romantic. After her relationship with Victor, she realizes that she shouldn’t be. Cannon wants someone that belongs to another. What length will he go to obtain what isn’t his? Victor can not let go. His darkness tries to overtake everyone and anything around him. What will he do to take back what does not belong to him anymore? Not a usual MA Foster book but I loved it and hope that she will continue with this style of writing.

Wow MA Foster I really loved this book , it was such a different kind of book to read from what you normally write. I just loved that it had some dark moments in the book , also loved that it was a age-gap. Makayla and Cannon were such great couple and had a great connection with each other and lots of hot sex ! Definitely 5 stars for Me .

I went in to reading Veil pretty much blind and had only seen a teaser. I think I was expecting dark, but it was definitely a sheep in wolf’s clothing ;) It tried to seem dark and scary but was underneath it all a sweet and swoony romance.

OH MY GOSH! I love this author! I always want more. I love Cannon & Makayla. Her attitude toward others in the face of controversy was heartwarming. Cannon is a swoon worthy hero. I couldn’t put this down. This book was everything. I love the stories that this author writes. I just want more!!! Yes, I know I had already said it!

HOLY HOTNESS… What just happened?!
This book starts out somewhat twisted. It is written so well, you can feel the manipulation with some definite dark undertones. Plan for a little whiplash when it switches and brings out some OTT sexy. Hubba Hubba.
You will go from angry to some yummy disbelief. Wink. Next panty melting titillation happens with the tease of possible depravity. Veil certainly in not your typical night club. Don’t judge me but I literally salivate thinking about it. It is so naughty. I kept hear the song “Games People Play” in my head as I read it.
The best part for me is how this book grows the love story part. You feel the heat from almost the beginning which is exciting but when truths are revealed it gets even better.
I want to keep prattling on about the uniqueness of reading this book. I won’t cause you need to experience it for yourself. Fanning myself here.

First, I have to say that I loved this story! It was easy to read, novella length and a standalone.
I went in to reading Veil pretty much blind and had only seen a teaser. I think I was expecting dark, but it was definitely a sheep in wolf’s clothing ;) It tried to seem dark and scary but was underneath it all a sweet and swoony romance.

Makayla has always been a romantic but after having her eyes opened by a lying, cheating boyfriend she isn’t in any hurry to jump back into a relationship.
Cannon is drawn to Makayla from the moment he sets eyes on her. He helps her see her own strength, but wants to be the one to show her that she can find happiness.
“And suddenly, I'm back in the deep end, but this time I’m not sinking.
I’m floating.”
There is a bit of mystery, suspense and danger and through it all romance and friendships.

This novella reeled me in right away. Makayla may be in a bind, having just graduated with no place to live, no job yet and no more condescending boyfriend. However, she’s determined to make a new start and that also brings her to Veil, where she’s looking for a sex filled fantasy escape of no strings attached. What she doesn’t know is that she’ll be getting more than she’s bargained for. While she’s living in a nice new apartment with a great job and a really fantastic new best friend, things are being orchestrated behind the scenes. There’s several interesting twists and the plot isn’t meant to be dark or boundary pushing, but it’s still steamy and intriguing. Makayla is the woman of a certain guy’s dreams now that he has his sights set on her and he is quite the contrast from her ex. I liked how head over heels he was for her and how he set out with genuine intentions even if they might’ve backfired at one part. Overall, I enjoyed this story, but as things began ramping up towards the end, there were several reveals happening. I would’ve preferred a lengthier version of this to properly elaborate and to draw out a bit more emotion or tension for these developments since everything got wrapped up rather quickly, but it was a still an engaging page turner for me.

This novella was amazing. Makayla leaves the relationship with the bad guy (Victor) and escapes into a thrilling fantasy with Mr. X. There is age gap, possessive hero, fantasy being fulfilled, and some light and dark romance aspects, with some Mafia moments. The writing was beautifully done, and really drew me into the story. I definitely need a club like Veil in my life! There was also some suspense and some pretty awesome twists that made me love the story even more. And the happy ending was the icong on the cake!

5 SO GOOD STARS!! Wow, it was so good....I read it in one sitting. This was a twisted web of lies and suspense for Makayla and so addicting. I absolutely loved Cannon he was so sexy and dreamy.

M.A.Foster sucked me right in the sensual, twisted and dramatic world of Veil from the first chapter. She weaved a complex web with suspense, debauchery, heartache and all kinds of feels. Go in blind and enjoy this epic ride.
Makayla Hawkins needs to forget her traumatic relationship with her ex as soon as possible. And when her new friend offers to take her to an exclusive club named Veils where fantasies come true, she agrees. There she has a filthy blindfolded night with a facelss stranger called X. They may have a month's contract but she has developed feels for him. What will happen when she comes to know about his true identity? May be X isn't the dream she thinks him to be because he has set his eyes on her a long time ago and he has planned to have her..
This story is told from multiple POVs and you would soon understand why. X aka Cannon is just addictive and just so sinful. I love to read about an alpha who has ample confidence, arrogance, sex appeal and dark edges. Cannon fit the box perfectly. Makayla was almost broken and lost when he enters her life. And slowly he gave back her light. She has been through a lot but this girl has spine of steel. She is strong and she never stops fighting. She is very mature of her age. It took a lot of courage to come out of a manipulating abusive relationship but she did and she built herself up. Cannon's secrets were devious and she took awhile to forgive him but once she understood that Cannon was just obsessed with her and wanted to protect her, she opened her arms and body again. They are explosive together. Veil is a stunning setting for this twisted story to play out. The element of suspense and mystery added to the intrigue of the story. M.A. Foster is a new to me author but I definitely will pick up more of her books.

This book was outstanding. Makayla is a 22 year old woman who has had a rough go at love but is still hopeful. Her last relationship ends abruptly. Cannon sees Makayla and it is instant obsession. He puts things into motion to ensure he gets what he wants. There are several unfortunate and disturbing events that take place in Makaylas' life. Cannon is the one constant. He is very protective and loving. These two have some amazing chemistry and steamy encounters. Every woman deserves a man like Cannon. A book you can read over and over.

I absolutely flew through the pages of this book! I’ve always loved M.A Foster’s writing and while this story was definitely different from her other works her writing style still shined though and I devoured every word!
Cannon and Makayla’s story was not traditional in any sense of the word but man oh man I enjoyed their journey. The secrecy, chemistry, steam…H O T! When you also consider the creepy stalker vibes throughout and how Makayla’s “adulthood” began, you get an unputdownable book that you don’t want to end but I still have a silly smile on my face because of their HEA so you won’t hear me complaining.

Ms Foster does an incredible job of weaving both suspense and romance into this storyline, and keeping her readers on the edge of their seat.
You’ll find depth, suspense, romance, and steam all in this book.
And even a true friendship and sisterhood between Makayla and Heather.
Something we all need in our lives.
Most of all, you’ll be enamored by Cannon and Makayla’s story.
Cannon helps her find her true self, and gives her the confidence and security she’s seeking, while still retaining her independence.

Veil is not your typical love story. We get Makayla and Cannon a very non traditional couple because sometimes when you see something you want you have to help destiny a little.
Makayla is out of a relationship that went bad and she meets handsome Cannon. She's a beautiful and sweet girl and he's a handsome millionaire with a soft heart and a soft spot for her. Little by little their relationship blossoms.
I started this book and couldn't put it down until it was done. No unnecessary drama, sexy enough and a HEA. M.A. Foster doesn't dissappoint.

I went into Veil blind. I hadn’t read the blurb, nothing. It was not what I expected after reading MA Fosters previous books but … OMG! What a great plot. The times I held my breath and blushed. Hot!
Makayla and Cannon just sizzled on each interaction. Their chemistry is red hot and I loved the reactions to each other. There were a few times I didn’t know who I could trust but I loved the whole book.
Great foray into the slightly dark BDSM area. Great characters and wonderful ending. I’m enthralled.

From the opening chapter when Makayla discovers the true nature of her bf, the reader is pulled into this twisted, sensual story of mystery and self-discovery. Makayla, after graduation, puts forth her backbone and leaves her cheating bf and befriends a girl from her class that introduces her to Veil, a high end club that caters to the fetish and indulgences of the elite. It is there where Makayla meets a mystery man who invites her back for a month of pleasure, to be at his beck and call.
Throughout this period of time, secrets are slowly revealed and the mystery is solved, angering and disappointing Makayla. But, it is how she deals with it and grows from the lessons learned that truly make this story the great novella it is. This author did a fabulous job of developing the characters and weaving the tale that keeps the reader engaged until the very end.
I would recommend this story to any lover of the dark, twisted, and steamy. This is a well-written tale that is worthy of a one-click.

I totally enjoyed this book. It truly was a mixture of dark versus light. I just wish there was a club Veil by me and I could meet a Cannon. While he was an alpha male, the love he had for Makayla was phenomenal. The times they met at Veil were beyond hot. I would certainly rate it over five stars if I could as I would highly recommend it. I received an advanced copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

I read this story when it was part of the Stalker Anthology and I loved it then. It has now been revamped and I felt like it was a brand new story. I was invested all over again and anxious for what happened next. That's how amazingly talented this writer is. There's mystery, intensity, angst, romance, sexiness and much more in this story. The main characters are captivating and the secondary characters are unforgettable. Another great read! Bravo 🌹

One spicy story mixed with the perfect amount of drama and suspense. You dive in and become immersed in the storyline and will not want to put it down until the end. Even the end leaves you wishing for more. It’s one that you need to click and prepare to get nothing done once you start.

Veil is so different from what M.A. Foster normally writes. I loved the dark and stalkery vibes. Cannon and Makayla had amazing chemistry and some hot s3x. This is also an age-gap, so if that’s your jam check it out! I want more!!

Holy HOT!!! This book was a steamy read! This wasn’t a typical book written by MA Foster, it was different from her others. I would say it was somewhat a dark romance played out with some fantasies. A very sexy book and hot chemistry between the H and the h. This was a good quick read, it kept you reading and entertained.

Veil is the sexiest book I’ve read by MA Foster. Cannon is such a hottie. The way he describes his need for Makayla really had me entranced. The two of them together was “fire”. M.A. does a great job of story telling. Cannon’s feelings are conveyed to the reader as well as all the other characters. Makayla grabs your heart from the beginning
I highly recommend reading this story. It gives a more adult perspective to the Magnolia Park world.
