It is an odd story of the O'Donnell family in KC Missouri. This is a reprint of the 1954 copyright. It doesn't give a date or even a time frame, but I think it is 1890s or 1900. Gas lamps in homes, and they had a house and buggy. The book was suggested by the current inhabitant of the house in Old Northeast, about 10th and Prospect.

The O'Donnells are an first generation Irish family of four girls. Mother is the keeper of the house, and dad is a foot patrolman. I grew up in the neighborhood in the 1960s and recognized the settings.

I read where it is a good book from a historical perspective, I didn't really see it.
