Three friends.
A lifetime of secrets.

No one knows you like your friends. At least, Emma, Steph, and Quinn have proven that time and time again. But as betrayals and life-altering revelations unfold, their friendship will be changed for the better. But also, for the worse.

Emma is ninety days away from being officially divorced and is thrown into the hilarious trenches of dating as a single mom. Steph’s life is completely thought out and stable—the husband, the kids, the ten-year-plan—but a secret looming over her marriage threatens to cause irreparable harm. Quinn has no desire to be conventional, and unapologetically storms through life until her future hitches on one detrimental diagnosis.

They know every hurt. Every disappointment. Every dream. Every secret they've ever kept. But secrets can't stay hidden forever, no matter who is keeping them.

I had the most fun writing TO THE GRAVE during the summer of 2021. I wrote it for my friends. For the laughs we share. For the love we'll always have for each other. For the secrets and hurts we spill over coffee or on long walks. It will always have a very special place in my heart and I can't wait for you to read it. It will make you laugh. It will make you cry. It will make you want take your girls out for drinks and remind them to not tell anybody about that one time you...

I really didn’t expect to like this book as much as I did.
You better grab 3 boxes of Kleenex, 1 for each lady, Quinn, Emma, and Stephanie!
Best friends since college, living close to each other, enjoying life and each other secrets.
Yes they have men to go along with them, Theo, Aaron, Jay, Xaviar.

Many laughs and tears shared by all.

I loved this read by Caitlin Moss! Different from her typical romance boo, this one was more about girlfriends which I completely enjoyed. Throughout reading the book I was reminded of my own relationships and the ups and downs we all go through, but love each other through thick and thin. She does a great job of capturing the drama and the love in a beautiful way. Must-read!

This book is everything you want to feel and more. Love and betrayal. Friendship and romance. Tears and laughter. Our three friends, Emily, Steph, & Quinn, are not perfect. They all have their issues, their own families, their own demons to face… but above all else - they have each other. They have a bond that will make you reach for your phone to text your best friend.

When reading this, you’ll feel their bond is the truest strength & it is friendship vs. the world. Secrets keep them together… but soon we find, will also tear them apart.

Thank you, Caitlin, for the absolute privilege of reading this book early. It’s one of the best I’ve read.

The story has a way of clawing itself to you, so that makes it difficult for you to stop reading. From the start I felt completely immersed in the lives of these characters. They felt real and I wanted to be a part of their exclusive group. I loved diving into each of the characters lives and problems. The author navigates seamlessly from one POV to another. I was interested in all of their stories. Sometimes with multiple POVs you find yourself wanting to remain with a certain character more than others, but this wasn’t the case. I needed to know everything. The stories were so realistic as is the author’s style, so there are always plenty of topics that hit home. The ending wrecked me, and I cried my heart out. Beautiful, captivating, realistic, and raw! I loved them all, but Emma was my favorite friend. I’m going to need me some more THEO please and thank you. I loved Aaron, bless him. And I would definitely let Nico adjust my back whenever he feels like it. Should you read this? Yes.

4.25 (rounding up!) - This book broke my heart. It was one that put me through all the feels. Books about female friendship are soo important, but unlike others this is real and raw by showing the imperfections that real women have. The ugly, the dark and the scary. I’ll be first to admit I’m not the expected audience to read this but the ending tore me so much. I didn’t know how to put my thoughts in words. Caitlin does a nice job of making you feel. That’s key in any good book.

Thank you to Caitlin for an ARC! Please note: all thoughts are my own and authentic.

This one has so many layers and elements to unpack! Three friends with years of experience among them. Careers, friendships, family, oh, and SECRETS!

Emma, Steph, and Quinn have been friends for years. I loved that when they needed each other they were a phone call away. The group chats or the girls' time at one of their houses were much needed. I found out about "purse panties" from their girls' time. 😂

As we get to know them more we find that:
•Steph has the perfect marriage to Aaron and their 4 children. But is it really that perfect?
•Emma, who is separated from Jay, is finding out how to navigate her life with her 2 kids without him-dating included. Can she move on?
•Quinn, the serial dater has a successful business and a 20-something personal trainer and (in her mind) boy toy. How does he play a huge eye-opening role in her life, and can she fall in love?

I loved that each friend has their own story, but they are kind of intertwined as we find out about the pasts, the secrets, and the emotional times that they must figure out how to handle. CM does a great job of giving, but not too much at one time as we find out what happens or happened with each of the women. Who has or is holding secrets? Will secrets ruin friendships or lives?

"...sometimes we think we can pack our wounds with lies and let the stitches heal over the top. But really, lies are like splinters. Even if no one else can see them, we know they're there. And if we touch them, they sting."

It's been several days since I finished this, and I cannot stop thinking about it. I feel like I got to know these characters well enough that they are my friends. The things they went through, Moss made me feel like I was going through them too. I laughed, I rolled my eyes, I swooned, and I bawled. I went into this knowing nothing except it was about three friends, so the journey was a surprise and my emotions went through it. I was gripped from start to finish and couldn't put it down. One of the best books I've read all year. It's beautiful, heartwarming, heartbreaking, and unforgettable. This one will stay with me forever.

Emma, Steph, and Quinn have been through it all together. Through every walk of adult life, they have been there. Now as new challenges arise in each of their lives, their friendship is pushed to unknown bounds and secrets threaten to come out. A story of love, forgiveness, and finding your people, To The Grave is a story you will never forget.

Thank you so much Caitlin for the early copy of your book!

“We never know when it will hit us. And when it does? We never realize what we’ll do to keep it.”

To The Grave had me on an emotional roller coaster that I was not expecting to be on. It immediately sucks you into the depths of friendship, marriage, and motherhood. The character development was done so well that I felt I knew each and every character and could relate to each one. I thoroughly enjoyed this book- definitely my top read this year! It’s very relatable and a reminder of how beautiful and messy relationships can be.

Oh boy, don't know where to start..
.
Friendship turned into sisterly bond
3 Friends who shares everything: the joy, the laughter, the bad, the ugly.
They know every hurt, every disappointment, every dream, every secret. But secrets can't stay hidden forever.. it's only matter of time...
.
Beautiful, raw, relatable, emotional, heartwarming and heartbreaking.
A story you will not put it down, different from her previous books, Caitlin Moss captivated us with these portraits of real life, love and betrayal, secrets and lies, disappointment and longing, friendship and romance.
.
An emotional rollercoaster (Caitlin's writting style) you'll be feeling all the way until the end, that certainly will leave you totally wrecked.
.
Special thanks to the Author for giving me this ARC in exchange of my honest opinion.
I'm truly honored and this story I'll keep it very close to my heart..

“But sometimes we think we can pack our wounds with lies and let the stitches heal over the top. But really, lies are like splinters. Even if no one else can see them, we know they’re there. And if we touch them, they sting.”

Once again, Caitlin Moss managed to take hold of my heart, squeeze it, remove it and stomp all over it. IN. THE. BEST. WAY. 🥹 I don’t know how she manages to make her characters so real and their struggles so raw but she’s done it with very book she’s written.

To the Grave is no exception. I was fully immersed into the lives of best friends Emma, Quinn and Steph. They’re the circle of friends you just want to include yourself in. They share everything - every secret, every laugh, every dream (and every bad date) - and it just radiates a sense of true sisterhood that I could just FEEL the connection through the pages. Divorce, parenting, single dating life and a marriage on the verge of collapse are just some
of the themes carried throughout this novel.

I was sitting in a bubble bath reading this as tears were streaming my face, wondering HOW a story could be so powerful, so beautifully written to almost bring me to my knees with grief. It’s a story that will grab hold of you and not let go until the very last line. Quinn’s story absolutely wrecked me. I loved reading her perspective on what she was going through, even it was the hardest chapters to read.

Heartwarming, gut wrenching, hilarious and beautiful…To the Grave will unapologetically break you while also opening your eyes to the people you love and the ways they love you back. 💕

I devoured this book in a little over 24 hours, staying up til almost 3 am to finish. I can’t say this enough: read this book.

*DM for a possible trigger that I don’t want to share here because it would be a spoiler.

I. Am. Unwell.

This book was so much more than I expected. The words written within these pages made me “feel” something. And isn’t that what we want a book to do? The friendship between Quinn, Steph, and Emma was flawed and honest and real. The stories of these characters touched me deeply and I loved every page of this beautiful book. I could not put it down, and as I was finishing it last night, I was literally reading through my tears. 😭 If you have not read any of Caitlin’s books yet, I urge you to get your hands on them! She has cemented herself as an auto-buy author for me. She’s that good. She sure knows how to add book boyfriends to my list too, because she just added two more. When you read this, you’ll know which two I’m referring to. 🥰

This will definitely be in my list of top 10 favorite books of the year. It was just so beautifully written. ♥️

Thank you again, Caitlin Moss, for this advanced copy!

Pub date for this one is 11/1/22!

Have you ever finished a book or a movie and were so bummed that it was over? After I received the thumbs up to finish from my buddy-read partner, I flew through the last 150 pages. In hindsight, I should've read slowly, savored little detail, and paused between the chapters that were told by three very different best friends (Emma, Steph, and Quinn), instead of being so eager and thirsty for the conclusion to their drama.
I was very fortunate to buddy-read this novel with my best friend who lives hundreds of miles away. We've always dreamed of how awesome it would be living just down the street from each other as these three friends did. Just like they did, we'd be able to help each in a pinch, help raise each other's children, and talk about every little tiny detail of our day. Inseparable.
I loved how these three best friends considered each other family. They were extensions of each other. Not only did they appreciate their differences, but they also valued their differences. Quinn, who was my least favorite, was headstrong and stubborn beyond anything natural. Steph was the all-around achiever, the friend whose life looked perfect from the outside. Emma was the friend who I felt the most connection with. She was a hot mess at times and struggled with finding her way as a single mom.
Grab this book if you like to laugh out loud, read stories about friendship, and don't mind ugly crying into the pages of a book. (Damn you, @caitlinmoss! My eyes are swollen and puffy today!)

So many things to love about this book! I am loving that there are more books coming out about women in their mid-thirties (I feel seen) that feel real to our experiences. I don’t want to say too much because all I knew going in was that it was a book about three friends, and I’m glad I just got to read and go on this journey not knowing where it would end.

Pull up a seat at the table, order your favorite drink, and bond with these three woman as they share advice, secrets, and the kind of love that only best friends can form.

Moss has a skill for writing stories that feel real and To The Grave is no exception. Not unlike her previous novels, Moss has you feeling everything as if you’re experiencing this story first-hand. Before you know it, you’re craving a girl’s night with friends and to feel truly seen and accepted by those who know you best if you don’t already.

I think my favorite part about this novel is how different it is from Moss’s other books. Not, of course, because I didn’t love her other books (seriously one of my favorite indie authors, y’all!) but because a great writer who can successfully tell a slew of different stories is catnip for me. This story shows us the range of this talented and lovable author. That she can cover many sides of the human experience and pull us in from page one and hold our attention to the very last word. I always enjoy reading Moss’s books because I never know what to expect, but I know that the writing will be great and the story will feel like it’s mine. Talk about a comfort read author.

This brilliant book comes out on November 1st so mark your calendars now, people!

This one is an ode to female friendships, and as someone whose friendships span decades (I’ve known my best friend since we were four and some of my closest friends are my high school friends), I loved every second of this one.

TO THE GRAVE follows three female leads who are the best of friends and who each have their own stories to tell and secrets to keep — from their loved ones and in some cases from each other. But before you think this is a lovey dovey, light-hearted read, know that there are some really tough, emotional topics throughout, because it’s a raw, honest look at the fragility of life, motherhood, and the importance of authentic friendships to help navigate the choppy, uncharted waters in which we sometimes find ourselves.

As usual, Caitlin’s character development is fantastic. I imagine it’s tough to craft characters who are different enough from one another that the reader can differentiate them, and Caitlin does that flawlessly here. I’m also impressed by her ability to craft incredibly flawed and sometimes unlikable characters who you still manage to root for. I also found myself LOLing quite a few times, which was really nice amid some tougher topics throughout the story.

I loved this so much. Highly, highly recommend.

And now I want to hug my friends. 🥹

Having read all of Moss's other books, I've come to expect a certain threshold of excellence when it comes to her writing and storytelling abilities. TO THE GRAVE is no exception to this rule. Right from the start, she thrusts you into the action. I'm not exaggerating, either -- on page 1, $hit has already hit the fan for one of our three POV main characters. It's a gripping way to suck you right into the story. Moreover though, it's a smart way to introduce you to these characters and their dynamic. While all of Moss's books do a wonderful job exploring romance, infidelity, heartbreak, and healing in various capacities, this one takes it up a notch by doing a deep-dive into the nuances of friendships and platonic relationships. Even as a man, I found this aspect of the narrative both enthralling and, quite frankly, educational at times. The story is fast-paced, the characters are all fully-developed and likable (or intentionally dislikable), and the ending is a real gut-punch. I highly recommend this book!

Powerful. So many emotions. I said it before and I'll say it again. Caitlin Moss you know how to take REAL LIFE and put it beautifully, honestly, raw with all the emotions in a book. I wanted to scream at some of these characters. I cried with them and laughed with them and then cried a ton more. The what if this happened to me? Raced through my mind at so many parts and it made it hard to breath at times. It is a reality that could happen and I am nor will ever be ready for it. Thank you Caitlin Moss for writing such an amazing book about love and friendship and choosing your family. Choosing those to love and for all the reasons to love them. THIS IS A MUST READ. Get your tissue box ready and be ready to feel all the things.

I’m not crying, my eyeballs are just sweating 😥

I was not ready for this. What a beautiful and touching story. I didn’t want it to end. I also have a crippling fear of death so I’m not going to lie I did, in fact, schedule two separate cancer screenings while reading this book. If you need a cancer trigger warning, this is it*** I personally prefer to chase triggers 🙃

Each story is so real, three separate relatable lives. Anyone reading this will relate to Quinn, Steph or Emma. Caitlin did such an amazing job with how well the story flowed. I can’t wait to share this book with friends.

This is by far Caitlin Moss' best book IMO. I love all 3 of the main characters and how the story progresses so fast and you see everything unfold from each of their perspectives. There is not a single dull chapter in this book and it gets you right from the beginning. It is a spicy, funny, and emotional book that is masterfully written. This is a super fun book!

Bravo to this wonderful storyteller.

What a beautiful story. It’s real and raw, layered and heartfelt. It’s about love and loss and friendship. To me, it was Sex and the City meets Colleen Hoover, with a dash of Firefly Lane. I highly recommend this tearjerker of a book.

A story of sisterhood between friends that hold all the joys and pains, secrets and lies of each other. As things come to a head, each of their lives seem to hit a point of deterioration…but dealing with the diagnosis of a friend in the midst of everything trumps their personal pains.
It’s emotional, lovable, and filled with relatable moments that will capture your heart, break it, and leave you with hope.

where can I find friends like the ladies in this book? I loved the sense of sisterhood from the beginning 🥹 I related to all three characters in different ways. it was nice but also a little scary to see some of my emotions & feelings written down. I definitely cried a few times & some moments hit me really hard. It shows the hardships of marriage, divorce, cancer & so much more. if you’re looking for an emotional read, this is it. This book should come with a box of tissues! I need some time to process this one!

Full review to come 😭

This was a beautifully written novel about friendships, life struggles, lies, forgiveness, divorce, marriage, love and parenthood. I simply enjoyed every minute of it. The bond between the three friends Emma, Quinn and Steph is truly inspiring and reminds me of some friendships i've had and currently have in my life. As I stated above, bring a box of tissues because this story will bring you to tears. This book truly emphasizes how life can throw you all the curve balls and that it is important to have a support system you trust to help you during your darkest times. I really enjoyed that each chapter had different point of views from the main characters.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the story:

"Kindness isn't something we should ever ration"
"A chosen sisterhood proving time and time again that blood will always be thicker than water"

Heartwarming yet gut wrenching, inspiring, witty, emotional and simply beautiful.

Simply beautiful Caitlin Moss!

This book guys. This book is so beautiful. I read this after reading Sixteen Summers by this author & so I was expecting more of a romance type read but this is about friendship & the love that comes with true friendship. I will absolutely never forget these characters as I feel like they became my friends too. I have always wanted a tight group of friends like in this book & while I have never really had that, I loved this story so much & want a group of friends like this even more so now. To see three women who are so close they are basically family & to be with each other through EVERYTHING, to fight, to love, to grieve but they do it all together it was just such a special story to read. I laughed, I got angry, I shed tears of joy & sadness, & I sobbed at the end. I will never forget this one & highly highly recommend it. Go in blind. It’s a wonderful ride of true friendship.

I also could totally see this becoming a tv show. I would 100% watch it!

It is on KU right now so give it a read.

A heartwarming, heartbreaking novel about three best friends in the trenches of life and each others secrets.

Emma, Quinn, and Steph all live on the same street and have been friends for years, sharing secrets and keeping some, too. While there are so many things that tie them together, there are just as many wanting to rip them apart. The friendships were honest and real. And the women were each unique with their own stories, pains, and interests and this was probably one of my favorite parts. Writing multiple main characters from different perspectives doesn't always work, but Moss creates such distinct characters that it was so easy to dive into each woman's head.

It reminded me so much of Sweet Magnolias in how fiercely loyal these women were to their friendship and families. Drama, friendship, romance, love, heartbreak, divorce, sickness, new beginnings, and more all bound in the pages of this women's fiction novel you're absolutely going to want to read!
