Based on the summary, I was expecting a completely different plot. Dani is the most helpless waste of space as a female main character, she questioned nothing and went along with everything - situational awareness, investigative and survival instincts are an appalling 0 out of 10. Fang being a dentist was entirely unnecessary to the plot, he could have just been a rich vampire alien male who attended the event and we could have gone down the same road for them meeting and eventually being together.
The fact that we end with trying to prevent another one of the alien male from getting sucked into a contract with Star farms rather than a clear decision to mount an offensive to try to wipe out star farms and their easily suspicious "program" for these women is incredibly problematic for me

Not bad
Not bad for a short story. Who knew a vampire dentist could be sexy? It's also not bad for a start of a series. Something's fishy about Star farms.

Why is forced sex and breeding treated so nonchalantly in this book. Even the male MC that says slaver and forced breeding are illegal signs a contract to buy the female MC. And at the end of the book warns a friend about dealing with the shady agency rather than alerting all government officials about what’s going on. Absolutely not outrage or distress.
She tells him they are going to force her to abort her baby and he brings her right back to them … and thinks her keeper/pimp is her secretary? Like wtf? What did I just read?

This joins Zoey Indiana's Shifter Speed Dating series on my TBR (To Be Re-read) pile as being romantically funny with a nice sci-fi touch. Dani and Fang make a good couple, but I definitely do not like Donna or Shade. Maybe Donna and Shade should become a couple?

Dani (Dandelion), the female human lead, is part of commune and has committed to carrying four babies for aliens. Fang, the male vampire lead, is a dentist that Dani comes to see when her wisdom teeth give her grief. Injecting her with venom as an anaesthetic, Fang finds her blood literally dizzying. When he comes across another male frightening her at a speed “dating” event, he claims her for himself. Now he just needs to make that claim permanent…

This was a really short read, with just enough plot to hang the spicy scenes on. The FMC was weirdly naive and oblivious to the abusive nature of the evil corporation who owned her and sold her. The MMC biting all his patients because his venom is anesthetic is hilariously unprofessional, as were all of his appointments with her—but again, does it matter? The book is obviously not meant to be taken all that seriously.

Fang is book 1 in Mrs. Carlton's Intergalactic Dating Agency set (this is a multi-author undertaking and each author's works can be read standalone from the others), book 1 in what she's named Colony: Nyx series, and the 9th or 10th addition to her Colony series in general. All of her Colony books previous to can be read standalone (excepting maybe Poseidon since you should read Halcyon first to get the full affect), and this book follows suit. Not sure if the next will require this one, but we'll see.
The book is written in third person omniscient from both lead characters' points of view (alternating chapters). This takes place on a colony in space that is inhabited by both humans and Titans-Titans being a loose term for a great many non-human creatures. The female lead is a human from Earth who was brought to the Colony by not so scrupulous people, while the male lead is a blue skinned vampire who also happens to be a dentist. Yes, that bit of humor is not lost on those in the book.
The book is a quick read, so I don't want to give away much, but I'd like to take a moment to point out a bit of the book that really struck me as unique. Dani, our lead female, rather than being a boss-woman type character or superbly skilled at something important, is actually probably slightly below average on the intelligence scale. This is not a negative at all, but rather a rare chance to see a fantasy setting where the lead isn't super. I found it vastly refreshing. Please note: she's not an invalid or anything like that. She's that friend who you may not have long conversations about the origin of the universe or the intricacies of the human mind with, but rather the one who always makes you smile and sees light in any situation. Always need people like that, and it was an adventure getting to see her find her happily ever after.
Dr. Fang, for his part, was a fairly typical alien doctor who just happens to have it in his head that he will never find a woman to settle down with. I enjoyed him, as I usually do Mrs. Carlton's male leads-an all around decent man with interesting characteristics. I loved that he was blue. The two make a cute couple that made me smile. I am definitely looking forward to the next book!
If you like aliens, vampires, blue muscles, corrupt conspiracies, steamy romance with some sweet AND spice, and a little bit of chosen family love, then this is something you should give a go!

I REALLY wanted to love this, the plot seemed cute and interesting but this was just SO BAD!
PLOT:
Dani is part of a colonization breeder project. She meets dentist Fang when she gets her wisdom teeth out and they meet again and hook up at a speed dating / breeding event and she ends up pregnant with his baby.
THOUGHTS:
- Dani is TSTL. She's part of a BREEDING program and she's surprised when women around her get pregnant or aren't treated well. She's scared of dentists and literally does not seem to have one iota of common sense or self preservation. She doesn't stand up for herself or complain when she's bullied and is shocked Pikachu face when she gets pregnant..... Ma'am you went to a breeding party after taking a fertility shot, without wearing underwear and hooked up. It's unlikely you wouldn't get pregnant. *Sighhh*
- she's blonde and her name is DANDELION?!? He's a vampire and his name is FANG?! are you KIDDING ME?! I had to suspend my disbelief constantly to not lose it at that.
- the plot is so very bare bones it hurts. Dani needs her wisdom teeth out so the center (read indentured servitude baby breeder program) sends her to get them out. Fang takes them out, ends up biting her because he doesn't have painkillers of gas on hand and comes in his pants... That's something.
- Fang hits the rapey incubus with a RASENGAN?! We were given no indication he had lighting powers and it's so out of left field.
- Fang being a dentist added nothing to the plot and if anything made the world feel weird and underdeveloped IMO.
- the conflict was SO DUMB. if these two had had ONE conversation and two functioning braincells they could have cleared it up.
- WHY IS NO ONE FREAKED OUT ABOUT THE BREEDING THING??? we're told it's illegal and the women are basically slaves but none of the guys seem to care? When fang hears she's in danger he brings her back to them? Like what? This was handled in SUCH a weird way.

Dani first meets Dr. Fang when she goes to him as a dentist. Her wisdom teeth have to come out and he uses his vampire venom to keep the procedure pain free. All the biting and kissing they had to do for him to give her his venom brings feelings from both of them, but they were going to keep things strictly business until they meet again, this time at the Intergalactic Dating Agency's speed dating event.
Once there, Dr. Fang spots Dani being threatened by another male, he steps in to make her life easier. She's there to fulfill her contract, she has to find an alien on this planet to have four babies with, spend ten years on the farm and then her life will be her own. The females are there to help repopulate the planet and so their contract states they have to have four babies with some aliens. Dr. Fang is more than willing to help her out.
But the woman who is in charge of the farm and the women there and their contracts, is selling these women and their contracts to the highest bidder so she can make some money. So when Dani becomes pregnant with Dr. Fang's baby, something that should not be possible, Dani is scared because now her baby's life is in danger. But as soon as Dr. Fang finds out about the baby he's going to do whatever he has to make sure she she and their baby is safe.
I loved Dr. Fang. This is the first book in the Intergalactic Dating Agency series. I would have liked a little more world building so we know what caused the Earth women to sign these contracts in order to come to this alien planet, and while we get a little information, it wasn't enough. I did like the ending though.

Un'altra storia d'amore tra alieni ed umane, in questo caso abbiamo un vampiro che fa il dentista e si perde nelle beltà di quella che sinceramente a me è proprio sembrata una prostituta inconsapevole. E dico proprio prostituta inconsapevole perché le è stato permesso di lasciare la terra e lavorare in una colonia aliena solo facendo da incubatrice per i figli degli alieni (inoltre la sua "padrona" l'aveva anche venduta a un tizio alieno). Insomma belle premesse in questa storia. Non mi è piaciuta la protagonista che è estremamente ingenua visto che non si pone domande su nulla e va avanti per opera di spirito santo visto che manca anche di spirito di conservazione e di investigazione. Cioè vedi come trattano te e la gente intorno a te e due domande non te le fai? Ho dubbi anche sulla sua intelligenza: il suo shock alla scoperta di essere incinta dopo che letteralmente le avevano dato un medicinale per la fertilità ogni giorno e aveva fatto sesso non protetto col vampiro… no comment. La sola cosa di cui sinceramente alla fine dei fatti mi interessa è se la Star Farm dove Dandelion (che nome ridicolo per la protagonista porca merda) vive/lavora verrà denunciata o meno. Una stella per il sesso forzato e il conseguente concepimento trattati in un modo tanto sbagliato quanto superficiale, oltre per il no sense generale in tutta la storia.

a cute easy read about a vampire dentist who finds his fated mate unexpectedly in a human girl. Dani is under contract at a colony farm to procreate with aliens and produce 4 alien babies for population. she is strictly controlled. Fang is the dentist who has an unusual reaction to Dani during a dental procedure then he meets her again at a speed dating event where they connect with unexpected results. now he must try and free her from this farm and save her from the nasty incubus that tried to buy her virginity and keep her for himself against her wishes.
this is an ok story but really is kind of strange in the dealings with the farm and doesn't have much plot or story line detail to speak of. everything happens in basically a few days. very little conflict or emotional angst. just a book u would read when u want a quick break where you don't have to think hard about what u are reading.

There is a lot of humor in this book along with multiple, very hot, sexually explicit episodes. Vampire-dentist-Titan Fang falls in love with naive Dani, a “student” at Star Farm Collective, as he is extracting her wisdom teeth; Dani has an irrational fear of dentists (why is quite interesting). He sees her again at a speed dating event but Dani is already promised/sold to Shade, an incubus lowlife, who is about to rape her. Fang rescues her and they vigorously consummate Dani’s requirement to mate tonight. Some relationship confusion ensues as Dani can’t believe Fang is serious about her and Fang thinks he somehow upset or hurt Dani. Another trip to the dentist and Dani gets an enjoyable lesson in how to be cured of an irrational fear, along with multiple, intense orgasms. More confusion is finally cleared up as Dani and Fang get their multiple-orgasm HEA ending.

Dandelion had been having problems eating and a health check determined that she needed dental work. An appointment was made for her to have her wisdom teeth removed. There were two problems with this: the dentist was a vampire and, worse, she was petrified of dentists in general. Fortunately for her, Dr. Fang was her mate.
This is a cute story and I hope the other girls at Star Farm find their HEAs, too. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

An exciting story. Dandelion, Dani, has a contract with StarFarms to earn a farmstead at the Colony. She's got a dental issue which puts her in Dr. Fang's chair. But she's terrified of dentists. They see each other again at a rapid dating event where stars explode.

Who would have thought that the need to go to the dentist, although scared to death, would make way to a new future for Dani. This story has its funny parts and others that make us think about the few opportunities that the characters, in this case the women of the Colony have. A vampire dentist with his own methods and a girl who needs to escape a cruel fate is intriguing, interesting, and funny. I liked Dr. Fang’s character, different and he surprised me with his ways. I was struck by the atmosphere surrounding the protagonists and I’ll be looking out for his friends. Action, suspense, drama, an almost villain, romance, and passion.

Fang is an alien vampire dentist and businessman. Dani (Dandelion) is part of a group of girls from Earth who have come to work on Star Farms. When Fang and Nova meet, there is no doubt there is something special between them. Great characters, farming, speed dating, rescue from an incubus with a vile temper, and sizzling chemistry between the hero and heroine. All of this and a couple of special surprises make this a fun story. Definitely recommend.

DNF. I’m all for a fun, unserious alien romance but there was a lot going on here, none of which ended up being appealing. There was a vampire dentist, plus a griffin shifter and a bear shifter…one of which baked pastries. I had to check that I picked up an alien sci-fi romance—yep it says so right on the cover. It all felt rather chaotic and that’s without the addition of the Colony, clearly immediately suspect, and what’s going on with the female characters. This book forced me to set aside far too many of my criteria to continue.

This was an interesting take on the whole alien dating agency idea. I had to smile at the vampire dentist though-what a unique twist to use some mythical skills in other ways! As for the whole colony speed dating thing …. It had a very sketchy hidden motive which really was uncomfortable to consider. In the end, I was pleased to see a HEA endured, and some future investigations suggested lookinginto legality of things.

If I had a dentist like Dr Fang I wouldn't fear the dentist especially with the type of laughing gas he uses....lol
Dani doesn't fear him, she fears the chair and the white coat and who can blame her? Dr. Fang soon rids Dani of her fears though through touch contact of the chair that is.

Not as good
This story is not nearly as good as the other intergalactic dating agency stories. The H is simplistic with her thinking. She doesn't understand that the contract she signed with the colony is hinky, but she is definite about what she wants from the hero. It's just strange story. Subpar.

Great Story!
I absolutely loved this story! The humor was very welcome, especially in light of the awful way poor Dandelion lived. I'm hoping a future book can break up the "farm." I loved the main characters and their descriptions. The spice was very nice, too! Two thumbs up! Read it!

While the writing is pretty good. The story line makes all the women in it sound like brainless bimbos. Just too stupid but to sign their lives as and into slavery. This suppose to be highly aliens who know all about earth. Why would they put up with a highly illegal sex slavery operation ?????

Mindless fun
Sometimes you just want to leave your brain behind and read something silly, fun and ridiculous.
This was all of those things
Dani was sweet and innocent and the vampire dentist called Dr Fang was just adorable.
I imagine the next few books in the series will continue the mystery of Star Farm and I'm intrigued enough to try them.

Love at First Bite
I’m not big on vampire stories, but this was more about love than anything to do with vampires. The story follows a somewhat predictable arc. However, there are a few twists to keep it interesting. Quick read that sets up Star Farms as a pretty unscrupulous business. I’m sure that will get addressed later in the series.

An interesting premise where an intergalactic dating agency has more than what they can handle when Fang turns up.
Interesting characters but there is a lack of character building that makes this story feel rushed. World building too is OK but I feel it needed to be more nuanced.
Good read though and there is a number of 'steamy' parts to get you going.

I loved Dr. Fang and Dani! Now, how they met and that Donna person was kind of suspect, but that just made the story even more enjoyable. I hope the next book drops quickly.

You like aliens or vampires how about alien vampires? I think you will love this book it's not only well written but but has great characters and it is erotic as...well you can input your favorite expletive here,it's that good.

romantic and full of humour
What a real pleasure to read an alien and human romance that also keeps you chuckling. I loved the down to earth humour and the way all things sensual were written. Dani and Fang are adorable and funny and so entertaining. Awesome!
