Vicious and cunning as the predator that inspired his name, Fang is living the life of sin and avarice as the road captain for the Savage Raiders MC. Sex, money, freedom—everything he ever wanted in life right there for the taking.
A man of decadent appetites, he’s never wanted to settle down, choosing to feed his wolf whatever it hungers for. But one look at Tessa, and his hunger for the one woman who ignites a fire in him leaves him scorched and ravenous. So ravenous he wants to claim her for his own.
But Tessa is skittish, wary, fighting demons that have a stranglehold on her heart and life. Demons that Fang is all too familiar with.
When those demons from a past he thought long buried arrive in town, Fang fights to keep Tessa from discovering the depth of his sins—even if that means giving up everything he once thought he wanted. Because Tessa, his Fire, has been burned before, but this time, Fang is determined to dance with her in the flames.
Savage Fire is a M/F romantic suspense, and the third book in the Savage Raiders MC series. This romance features a thick, kick-ass heroine who knows her own worth, and will fight to the death for those she loves. As always, there is no cheating or cliffhanger, but there is a satisfying HEA.
Eve Black is the sexy contemporary romance-loving alter-ego of a sweet historical romance author...who also writes dark, sexy medieval romance under another name. Eve is one of several personalities in one crazy package. When Eve isn't writing books, she is editing other people's books, freelance writing marketing content, or wrangling her children. For fun, Eve loves to read (obviously) sexy contemporary and historical romance books, binge-watch old Supernatural, Burn Notice, Leverage, and Lucifer episodes on Netflix, and play mind-numbing games on her tablet.
Eve lives in an untidy house on a little over an acre in rural Northeast Pennsylvania with her husband of 17 years and their four children, three cats, and one chicken.
Another one I thought would be drama-llama with all the OW shenanigans, but it fizzled quickly with little to no groveling. I think it’s worth mentioning there’re two different storytelling devices used throughout the book that could be annoying to some readers.
1- This is BBW, and it’s pretty standard in that everyone calls the h fat... she’s super feisty with most of the “good” female characters being described as Amazonian, curvy, or thick… and the OW (his Hive and clubwhores) are his “usual type” thin/leggy/fake boobs- hair/camel toes/desperate and almost all terrible people… so FYI if that isn’t your thing. I LOVED that the h was a kickass MMA fighter but would’ve liked some character development other than focusing on her physical appearance.
2- This is one of those books where the characters randomly use one or two sporadic Spanish words thrown into sentences to hammer home their ethnicity. I always find this odd/messes with sentence flow. My in-laws are bilingual, and I’ve never heard them say something like… Dios mio, I forgot to shut off the oven. :)
This is the third book in the series, and I skipped the others but never felt super lost. (I believe this h was introduced as the BFF of Savage King’s h.) The book opens with the H escaping his criminal family and the h running away to avoid becoming a cult bride.
We then FFW 7 years later with Fang in the mc living with a harem of women but lusting after Tessa. I didn’t find Tessa “skittish” like the blurb says, she’s just hesitant to get involved with Fang because she thinks he’s a manwhore.
I REALLY enjoyed the beginning of the book with both mc’s circling each other while anxiously awaiting the collision of Tessa with the Bees… and this part didn’t disappoint. I loved that Tessa went off and made Fang feel like dog shit… Her heartbreak… him miserable… her finding out everyone knew… YUM.
“You knew what would happen, and you let me go into it blind. You let me think that he wanted more with me when what he really wanted was to make me less, just a small piece of a whole rather than his everything.”
But then things went sideways with the focus turning to a cartel/cult subplot and Tessa almost instantly forgiving him.
Bottom Line- Ok, not great. I’ll round up since it was on KU but should probably 2 ⭐it. It started out strong but fizzled midway through. Tessa lost most of her spark by manufactured drama (like why did Fang have to be the one put in charge of her safety when there was a clubhouse of dudes or why would a smart/resourceful woman suddenly start making reckless/TSTL decisions?) and Fang was a wuss. There’re a few plot holes and several editing issues.
1.5 stars - slightly above 1 star because the writing was semi-competent. I wouldn't say it's well written, but I've read worse. This book had potential to be an angsty read with a unique premise, but it dropped the ball.
The heroine (25) whose name I already forget because she was bland, had a bad childhood where her stepfather was a creepy polygamist. After her mom married him, he started adding more “brides” to their household. The heroine ran away so that he wouldn’t make her his sixth “bride.”
Now in her adult life, her friend is in a relationship with an MC president, so she knows the club brothers. The hero, Fang (37) is a club brother who has a thing for her. He has an unusual poly lifestyle where 5 women live in his house, and they sign a contract where they agree to be exclusive with him. Meanwhile, he’s not exclusive with any of them. Charming.
He takes the heroine on a date, not telling her about his poly lifestyle. Then, when she thinks they’re building a regular relationship, he reveals that he wants her to be part of his harem. She feels betrayed and responds by running away and shouting “I hate you!” at him.
All of this was actually a pretty interesting and unique set up for angst. But then, this book went downhill. First of all, the heroine doesn’t reveal her past to him until much later. So, he thinks she’s just insulted that he tried to add her to his harem for the normal reasons of why MOST women would be insulted by this. That’s valid! But then, what’s the point of the heroine having this trauma background that SPECIFICALLY relates to the hero’s poly lifestyle, if this book is barely going to use that for angst?!
Second of all, there’s barely any angst after this initial set-up. After the heroine reacts badly, the hero
I don’t buy that this couple is right for each other, or good together! They have a FUNDAMENTAL difference in what they want from a relationship! We weren’t given enough reason for the hero to plausibly change so suddenly and drastically (aside from him just finding the heroine hot). Also, they’re both shallow characters with no depth aside from trauma backstories (and his backstory is absurd). So I wasn’t invested in them at all. I kept reading because I was curious how their conflict would resolve – not because I cared about them.
So, this book had a unique set-up for angst – with the hero being non-monogamous and trying to trick the heroine, and with her having trauma around this EXACT circumstance. Unfortunately, this book completely wasted that interesting premise.
I'm going to skip over the so called hero's Hive, a harem of five women he knows the h will never go for, but convinces himself he is so hot that maybe he can. He can't.
No, the real issue is we have what is supposed to be a smart and strong heroine do something so stupid, not just once, but twice it is beyond belief.
Sorry girlfriend, if you're going to be this stupid, you deserve the hero.
This book convinced me that some women hate their own A writer who takes a potential strong Female and reduces her to a sipping dick-seeking side does not earn my respect And if some readers prefere the Plant female in books because they drool over the macho Alpha a-hole, well good on you. To each their own
I had high hopes for Tessa After her introduction in book 1 (which was what hooked me to continue redeaing this series) I was looking forward to how she would teach Fang about respect But no All it took was "I love you, I was an asshole" to jump him and climb his D like a monkey!!!
I have no respect to women like this Fiction or real
So let me get this straight He chases you for a year giving you hope that he is into you, coerced you into a romantic date and gives you the night of your life thinking you matter to him only to find out that he wants you to sign a contract to become one of his 6 Hive (harem) and pleasure him You get angry and storm out shouting "I hate you" One chapter down you Bang him because he what? Decided you are enough and got over his addiction in one night!!!!
AND NO ONE WARNED HER! I could understand the club because Bros before hoes and all that But her friends????? They allowed her to go in blind???
Pathetic book
Bad plot And the mistakes in writing can't be overlooked either
I tried again, and this story was the best so far compared to the others. And don't ask me why I'm moving backwards in a series. I have no idea. At least this isn't exactly a BBW book, but I could have done without other women calling her fat when she didn't sound like it. She's 5'11 and described as a previous MMA fighter. So I was picturing a Gina Carano in her prime and in the off-season. If you train MMA you know what I'm talking about. Anyways, I didn't need that. But still a little more decent than the other's I've read. Now the H.. Oh, boy 😂. No sane woman is going to like him. He has a harem of women he calls a hive. Specifically calling them his Bees. He wants Tessa as his sixth Bee and thought Tessa was going to go right along with it. What an idiot! 😂 He was bad because he slept with her in his house that he shared with the Bees before explaining his lifestyle. Tessa wondering why his house had so many feminine touches and an XL king-sized bed that he obviously had to have specially made should have had her running for the hills. But no. Because dick y'all! Basically tricking her, but considering his lifestyle and job before he became an MC made sense for him. But nothing ok about it. And Tessa had her reasons for being extremely turned off by it. Him just giving up the hive and his lifestyle though wasn't so realistic. But with this author's books it's always like this and there's never a clear reason why these MC guys are chosing their women. Overall decent compared to her other books .

Oh my, Fang and Tessa are from two completely different backgrounds and that shapes them into who they are now. Their attraction is very strong toward each other since Tessa had been hurt and Fang was by her side.
Fang wants a chance with Tessa but with his Hive he isn't sure how that would work. Well let's say he finds out and it's not exactly what he planned. Danger from Tessa's past is coming and and of course Stella doesn't like to be told no. It all works out in the end.
What's with the Epilogue? Now I want Troubles book!
Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐1\2 Trope: he falls first Angst: 😱😱😱😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
Overall I really loved this story. It had a strong heroine, Lots of action, and plenty of angst. One of the issues I had with it was the fact that the hero Intentionally misled the heroine to get her to sleep with him. It really came across as a non consent issue since it was so egregious. And then he really did not have to grovel that long to get her back. I think maybe the story was just a little too short for It to be done properly (in my opinion). But again, it was a great read. The sexual manipulation was a fantastic conflict point , It was simply that the story was not long enough to do the grovel properly.
OMG! I have read the previous books in this series and I was SO looking forward to reading Fang's backstory and what his deal is with Tessa.... This book did NOT disappoint. The prologue stole my breath because I knew it was going to be a mess! Fang was Cartel! A sex trafficker! And Tessa was raised in a polygamist commune! For real?! Can these two come from further apart? Damn! One was raised to see women as sexual objects, the other was raised hating men who see women as objects period, so when their pasts come to light...holy shit! Also, the chemistry between them is outstanding. That whole mess with Fang's Bees...I FELT Tessa's pain when she realized what was going on. The shit going on with the cartels and Tessa's family just cranks up the tension. Oh...and Fang...OMG...that man has a poet's soul. When he opens himself up for Tessa it makes you weep! And swoon! Lordy, that man was FIRE!
Overall, this book is, so far, the best in the series. That epilogue with Trouble.... I cannot wait for book four!
An awesome continuation of the series! The characters have depth and are easy to connect with. Filled with action, drama and a little (very steamy) loving. Once started I was unable to put this book down.

It wasn’t a bad read, it just had some factors that brought the rating down for me. It needs an edit, it was repetitive in spots and dare I say a little cringe worthy too. I expected more ow drama given the premise of the modern harem. Tessa was a bit badass but also felt forced. I don’t know just missed the mark for me 2.5 stars
What a huge letdown this book was! The set up was great; Tessa was a strong, kicka$$ h and we could see the betrayal and the angst coming her way. The story had me hooked from the beginning and I was eagerly anticipating the big grovel only to be sadly disappointed. There was none. NONE.
Fang pursued Tessa for over a year trying to get her to agree to a date. When she finally did, he lied to her and told her he was "all in" with her and tricked her into sleeping with him by implying that they were going to have an exclusive relationship while what he really meant was that SHE was going to be exclusive but HE was going to continue to f#%k the other FIVE members of his “Hive” that lived in his house. After being blindsided by all five women at the breakfast table the next morning, Tessa walked out and I thought she was going to be strong and and continue to tell him to go f#%k himself. I thought he was going to have to pursue her and work to get her to forgive him. Nope.
Instead, the author fell back on a weak, overused cliche and manufactured a dangerous situation that forced Tessa to rely on Fang to protect her. After repeatedly going back and forth, trying to decide whether he wanted Tessa or his “Hive” more, he finally decided on Tessa and that was all it took for her to forgive him. He literally dragged her down the hall to his bedroom at the club and told her that he needed to f#%k her and she decided that “she was tired of being mad at him” and she fell into bed with him. Another book with an a$$hole H and a h that was a spineless doormat.
Other things that I didn’t like about this book: 1. Badly needed editing. Eg. “wondering eye”, “It came to close”, “And he’d grown accustom to”, “when she riding him in his bed”, “it was like the woman was perpetually happy, which made since”, “then we’re going sit down on the couch”, “not is she didn’t want to feel like an imposter”, “f#%k it he knew why”, “That she dead to him”, “no matter how much of a pain I the a$$ you are”, “she hadn’t even gotten the change to finish her fries and drink”, “how dare you call yourselves me friends”, “her expression shuddered, her body tense”, “once their gone, you and I can start fresh”. 2. There was no logical reason why it had to be Fang instead of one of the other MC brothers that was responsible for Tessa’s protection. In fact, it made no sense knowing how she felt about him. It was just done that way because it was convenient to the storyline. 3. Why were the “Bees” not forced into protective custody? 4. Yeah, I couldn’t get past the fact that Fang used to be a human trafficker. To me, there’s no coming back from that. 5. Everyone in the club knew about Fang’s “Hive” including Skathi who was supposedly Tessa’s best friend. Everyone knew that he was only pursuing her to add her to his harem and that he really didn’t want an exclusive relationship with her. Yet, not ONE of them warned her. In fact, they deliberately kept it from her while repeatedly pushing her at him. 6. Fang was constantly thinking that he couldn’t live without Tessa and how he wanted her “more than his next breath”. He also said that he had no feelings for his “Bees”, that his relationship with them was nothing but sex and convenience and that he didn’t even kiss them because it was “too intimate”. Considering all that, it took him WAY too long and way too much changing his mind back and forth before he decided that Tessa was more important to him than his “Hive”.

What I liked: I liked how the guys in the Mc stand together. I liked how Fang/Javier(H) gave up his hive for Tessa/Condesa(h). Loved how Tessa’s stepfather was dealt with.
What I didn’t like: This book could use a good editor(normally it doesn’t bother me but I did have to read sentences again to make it make sense). Also, Fang annoyed me. Tessa told him what she was looking for and he still did what he did. This made me not like his character at first.
***Major Spoilers/ Details/Triggers: H wants the h. H had been there for the h when they rescued her (which happened in the last book. H has a “hive full of bees” (basically the H has women which live with him and he has a sexual relationship with them all). H wants the h to join. We find out in this book that the h is running from her stepfather (who also has multiple women live with him) because he wants to make her his “wife”. h finds out about the H’s hive. She wants nothing to do with that situation. He fixes things. The stepfather gets dealt with. Other things are revealed about the H. The H and h work things out. HEA
Descriptive Sex: Yes
Final thoughts: This was an ok book. If the errors weren’t there I would have given it 4 stars. Definitely will read the next one.

I wasn’t 100% sure that Tessa should have gotten together with him after the thing he pulled after their first date….but I’m also not sure she shouldn’t have. This makes the story more compelling. It really made me think. Lots of steam, lots of plot. And I think Tessa’s mother needs some counseling. Recommended if you want an MC Romance that will give you food for thought.

This series just gets better as I read them! This is Fang and Tessa’s storyline. You learn of them in books 1 and 2. Which you should really read before this book but not required. The two are all about the push and pull! But you don’t realize how similar their past is until all is revealed in their book.

Fang is an interesting character he has five ladies that he lives with and he calls them his bees. Problems arise when he meets his "One" He makes the mistake of thinking Tess will be OK with his life style. Actually he knows she won't be but he soliders on. Both Tess and Fang have issues that they need to work through. If you like angst and OWD give this book a go.
The h was great she gave in a little too quickly but she was badass. The H had a warped sense of relationships and he has build up a harem of women that total 5. They all live together and have a relationship with the H. Two of the women or GF’s also have a sexual relationship with each other. The H supposedly wants the h badly, pursues her for ages to date. At first he definitely was still fucking the OW but not completely clear on when he stopped but he was still very much on a relationship and living with them all. He finally gets her to give him a chance they have a wonderful passion filled night only for her to go downstairs and meet his women. He then springs it on her that he wants her to move in and be his sixth bee. She is devastated and lets him have it. In all the time he was pursuing her developing a relationship with he, he never thought to tell her about his women or what he wanted. He realizes he fucked up and starts to grovel. One of the women causes some drama. I just did not find his commitment or love for the h to be believable. If she had given in to being a part of the hive he would have continued with a relationship with the OW. That does not scream love of the h. The writing was decent but this was a revamped twist on a man whore who likes variety and even though he’s developed feelings for the h can’t keep it in his pants.

Sweet Jesus gimme strenght. Because it's hard to review the mess that is this book. The previous instalment was good enough, a dumb but obsessed hero and a cute abused heroine but this one has the shape of a nightmare. The heroine should be a strong and ballsy woman, she's a MMA fighter and a survivor of a nasty accident where she was shot and badly hurt. She's hanging around this MC because her bff has married the prez, and she's recovering from her injury. The hero is a member of this MC with a troubled past. He's been flirting with her for one year and in the beginning she was going to accept a date with him but the same day she saw him with not one but two women hanging on him and of course she refused to have nothing to do with him anymore. Respect for this woman. I wish she went along with this decision. Sadly after one year she decides to give him another try, and her bff has a big responsibility in this because she tells him she should give the hero a chance. The hero is the most hypocritical and selfish double standard bastard you could imagine and the worst thing of all is that everyone knew except the heroine. And this is why I was most angry. Basically to cut the story short, he has a harem, five women he keeps in a big huge house and that are willing to be exclusive with him, while he's not exclusive with them. They signed a contract and live all together. Because, you know, the hero is quite picky and doesn't want to have sex with random women, who knows what you can catch... You can tell what you want but they are his personal whores, since he pays for everything and let's be honest, the man is loaded. Of course none of them would stay if he didn't have that much money even if they have jobs of their own, but you know a girl has t do what a girl has to do and my impression is that they sell themselves to a man who gives them everything material, from money to open a business to jewels to designer dresses. It's a matter of priority, you know, sometimes you have to choose with what you have and if what you have is a proposition from a man who's young and handsome enough and he's rich and kind and liberal, well, to hell with commitment and exclusivity. One cannot be too picky these days. The hero, of course, from the high mountain that is his huge ego, thinks that he will be able to persuade the heroine to be his sixth whore, because that's what she would be, but he's not even able to be clear and honest. Nope. He takes her out, he offers dinner, he seduces her with big words, he has sex with her in a big huge bed in his house, and when the heroine wonders why a single man would want a bed that is basically two king sized beds in one I cringed and felt like throwing up a lil in my mouth. After a night of great pleasure she wakes up in a house full of women having breakfast with the hero and she reminded me very much of how Goldilocks could have felt waking up with the three bears around her. The women that, beside one, are quite nice and pleasant to her, describe what it's expected from her and they tell her that they will have fun together. The heroine suspects she's been drugged with some acids and she's still allucinating. The hero is shameless and tries to stop her from leaving. This part should have been more angsty and detailed, respecting the heroine's personality that is a strong and determined woman, while she acts like a hurt virgin, running away in tears. Nope. I expected that a MMA fighter would have knocked him around maybe loosing some of his white teeth but alas no, not this time. After this debacle the hero has a conscience crisis and eventually gets rid of his women, because he understand he's in love with the heroine and doesn't want anyone but her. Pity that for one year he was happy to flirt with her and have orgies with his whores afterwards. Yuck. What a pig. The worst thing and what really made me cry was that the whole club knew of his harem, even her bff and nobody told her. This was the worst form of betrayal, since her bff was the one who suggested that she should give him a try. I suggest the heroine to dump this gang of cheaters instead. The world is full of people who are certainly more deserving of trust than this bunch of idiots. Sadly there's also something worse because the heroine comes from an abusive environment. Her mother married a man who was a sort of fanatic and who kept other women as his wives. The heroine managed to run away on her 18th birthday after finding out he wanted her to be wife number six. Basically the same thing happened with the hero. And talking about luck I suggest her to go to some pilgrimage of sort because her karma is really bad. There's some kind of kidnapping and criminal story I wans't really involved and that dragged until the end, taking the attention from the main theme that was the Big Deception of the hero and all the people the heroine called friends. I so wish she didn't forgive them. I so wish she managed to run away and make a life for herself instead of fallign for the hero's bullshit again. Where is her backbone gone? Where her self respect? There are also a lot of inconsistencies around, as for instance what was the contract about? And when did she forgive the club and her bff? It's sad that a heroine who deserved much should settle for so little. This seems to be the reality of many books and not only old school but also the newest ones. Women seem unable to think they deserve to be loved, cherished, respected. They don't think they deserve commitment, honor, trust, fidelity. Always this sad thing. And the hero doesn't seem to understand that he disrespected the heroine thinking she would accept that situation, he is only sorry she's sorry... He was abused in the past and has done some ugly things but he seems to be very aware that his situation is unusual. He doesn't understand that he was treating those women as things and that he offended the heroine considering her one of them. And the story he tells her about him being celibate for months with five women running naked in his house, well, tell it to the marines. Awful.
For all the OW drama, you would think there would be some substantial grovel, but nope. A few conversations of sorry and get over it, you are mine then BAM, they are together.
Cheating = H was emotionally invested and physically committed to 5 (F-I-V-E) other women while "wooing" the h. H was with the 5 physically consistently up until a few months before hooking up with h, like maybe "celibate" for 2 months. H was still invested in "caring and supporting" his 5 "bees" in his "hive" even after his hookup with the h because he had a "committed contract" with each of his bees *insert eye roll*. In my book, keeping the h willfully ignorant of the fact you have 5 (again F-I-V-E) live-in girlfriends will pursuing the h and actively working to get h into bed, is cheating on the h. Making the h unknowingly, in h's mind, the side piece. H knew this would NEVER be a go for the h.
h sees H with OW = way back when, h had finally decided to invite the H over for dinner and make her move to advance their relationship, but 2 things: 1-she texts H and he doesn't respond until 2 days later (really showing the h how she ranks on the importance scale); and 2-while shopping for the dinner at the store she sees H getting loved up on by not one but two women all while he is eye-fucking a third. h also sees all 3 women walking out with H and leaving together. All this after H had been pursuing and flirting with h. This happened before H & h sleep together. h had somehow convinced herself that perhaps this H had changed and reformed so was now going to give it a chance. (how'd that work out....not well)
MC = the life is there and things happen, but I honestly glossed over it and wasn't interested.
OW drama = I mean there are 5 OWs, so it's there but not all 5 are evil bees (play on words there, ha!) Only one OW was a tool, but she really has no comeuppance other than being tossed out of clubhouse (I mean she was talking to enemies of the MC and giving out info on the H, but yeah, just toss her out with no repercussions). There was one club-ho who was constantly in the h's face, but the mc guys keep her there with no issues. h does stand up for herself verbally, but to me the men are weak to be led by their d1cks when it comes to club-hoes.

Summary: FMC and MMC are dating. However, the MMC has a secret he has a harem of women. They all live with him, and he provides for them. His intent is to make the FMC a part of this harem. He doesn't realize that she will never go for that due to her childhood. Once the FMC finds out about the MMCs plans she leaves him, and the story goes from there.
Review: I enjoy this series. I love seeing the characters from previous books in the current books. This book took me a minute to get into. I had to move pass how egotistical the MMC was to just think the FMC would gladly want to share him. But once she left him...he realized that all his women could not add up to the feeling he got with the FMC. If you haven't read this series, I encourage you to. It
This is the third book in The Savage Raiders Series, it could be read as a stand-alone however I’d advise reading the previous two books in the series, it would help when it comes to understanding parts of the storyline better.
Since things went down a year ago Fang, the MC’s Road Captain has been keeping an eye on Tessa all whilst trying to get her to take a chance on him. Tessa may be attracted to Fang, yes he was there for her, however after the events of last year she’s a little wary, but she does eventually give in and decides to give him a chance. What Tessa didn't realise was that Fang had been keeping something rather monumental from her only to be smacked in the face with his deception after having given him a chance. However Fang’s not the only one who’s been hiding things, Tessa has been keeping dangerous secrets from her past which she’s had to deal with, then there’s also the suspenseful side story of the MC versus the Cabal.
If you like spicy reads then you’ll love this one as there’s lots of steam, and there's plenty going on, making this book overall a decent read.
The MMC has a harem of five women. The FMC was supposed to be his sixth. Thing to note is that the heroine’s mother was also part of a harem of her stepfather. She was supposed to the sixth also. But she of course rejected him and his offer which shocked him. I blink and next thing I know they are all reconciled and lovey dovey. She just told the MMC she hated him and then there was a kidnapping attempt and then she had to room with him, he said sorry, they have smex and everything is so much better. This happened in the span of two to three chapters. The story focused on the evil villain wanting to kidnap the FMC and the epilogue focused on the side character’s next story. We do not really know what happens to the FMC and MMC after the super quick reconciliation. Will they live in the house where the MMC kept his harem? Like are they truly reconciled with trust and a deep connection? Everything about their romance seemed rushed. They had only one date which revealed the harem. They barely had any strong connection or reconciliation. So what made a guy give up his harem for just one woman? I did not get that.
Hero lives with his own personal harem. Heroine finds out at 50% the morning after when she finds out he wants for her to join his hive. He has not been with OW in months, but did smex OW after he met heroine. H grew up in bordello where he had a harem at 13, so this all seems normal to him.
I disliked that he moved forward with his attempt to add the heroine to his harem despite knowing her feelings on exclusivity and fidelity. It showed such selfishness on his part. And the WAY she found out....basically her walking into the kitchen the morning after their first time together...to be confronted by women casually about. He deserved to have her ice him out.
He did start to take steps to deconstruct his harem in as a kind a way as possible, but he should have done it quicker. I am genuinely unsure how I feel about the relationship he had with them, and it was most definitely a RELATIONSHIP with feelings and connection. Overall, I think the story was well written, but just not for me.
Wow, this was a very interesting read. Fang rescued Tessa from the sex trafficker Madrigal and sat by her during her operations and recovery. He was always there for her. He was flirtatious, arrogant, and charming and Tessa was falling for it until she saw him in the grocery store with a woman hanging on his arm and he was flirting with two other woman in the produce section. After that she started ignoring him. For a year he tried to get her to go out with him. She finally agrees after a night of drinking tequila. The date turns out great for both of them until the next morning when she discovers he lives with 5 other woman ad he wants to make her #6. Needless to say the sh*t hits the fan. Both have pasts that haunt them and eventually catch up to them in Vegas. Very interesting storyline and characters. There were some editing issues that were frustrating.

I couldn't put this book down. This is book 3 in the Savage Raiders series. You don't have to read the two previous books but it helps to understand some of the story line and characters better. Fang is the Road Captain for the MC. He's been keeping an eye on Tessa since something went down a year ago. He's trying to get Tessa to give him a shot but he's keeping something monumental from her. Tessa is attracted to Fang and he was there for ger after her ordeal but she's a little wary. He finally gets her to give him a chance and then BAM she is hit the face with his deception. There is a suspenseful side story with the MC versus the Cabal. Plus Tessa has to deal with her own dangerous past that she has kept a secret. All in all this was another great book by Eve Black.

I really enjoyed this one. What a weird twist of fate that brought Tessa and Fang together. Tessa is a survivor of a sort of polygamist cult and Fang is living with a harem (his “hive”) of 5 women. Lots of parallels but also lots of differences in the two situations. Plenty of conflict/angst but ultimately a HEA. I’ll likely go back and read the first two books in the series, but this can be read as a stand alone. The one thing I wish was that there had been a little more grovel after Fang royally screwed things up with Tessa. I felt like she could have made him sweat a little longer. If you like MC books with no cheating, I’d recommend you give this author a try.

OMG that one was the worst book with the worst hero. He chases the heroine for A YEAR, she finally agrees to go on a date. Next morning she sees he has a harem and he wants her to be the 6th. 5 women living with him and for him. They have contracts and they have to be entirely devoted to him. But he can fuck whoever he wants. Heroine bails (LIKE A NORMAL PERSON WOULD DO), he realises he cannot live without her, says goodbye to the harem (apparently he gives no fucks about any of them, he usually replaces them if they want to leave) and live HEA. What a mindfuck. Used to like Tessa but OMG. Dude has never been in a mono relationship. RED FLAGS. Fuck the "brothers" and her friends who didn't tell her the truth. She should have left.
I love this story which is really different. Fang our hero has a harem he lives with in his home where they all accept the rules and the presence of each other. They are all close and a family but believe that Fang will never offer anything more than what they currently have.
Now our poor, delusional Fang thinks he can add our Tessa to his happy family and boy is he wrong. They both have childhoods that shaped them into who they are but his attempt to add her to his hive (and so underhandedly) is the worse thing he could do to our sweet wounded Tessa. I love how she says no even though she loves Fang and he starts to learn what he is willing to do to win her back.
This is one of the storylines that live in your head long after you read it, or re-read it multiple times, in my case.
I can’t say I wasn’t warned as the H situation was more than alluded to in previous books but I did expect Tessa to be more….just stronger in this.
Such diverse backgrounds you couldn’t think of which made this an unlikely coupling before we even start really, but despite the premise this does surprisingly become rather the love story
Big misses for me were I expected more drama and for Tessa to be a bit more of a hold out.
Enjoyable but not sure I’d read again if giving the series another read through.
