18+ for language and sexual situations…

Isla Gunnach
I am the daughter of royalty. A princess, if you will. But I have no interest in a prince to vanquish my dragons. I’m quite capable of doing that all by myself. I am, however, looking for my equal. A man who doesn’t simper at my feet, or try to use me to get to my father or my uncles.

The problem is, when such a man crashes into my life, I find him to be insufferable and infuriating.

Arric Mann
I’m a nomad. I have no family, no home. Just a series of tragedies that have shaped the man I have become. When I find myself drawn to Scotland, I am propelled into a world I am not prepared for. One of ancient lore and fairy tales.

But I also find her. And she is about to ruin the last semblance of sanity I have left.

This series has always been one of my favourite books series ever. I've read all the previous 9 books twice, every time I'm notice something new. There are so many different layers that you understand something more.

It makes my heart a little sad that this is likely the last in the series.
I loved seeing the story about the next generation. I always loved Pepper’s and Con’s daughter being such an amazing combination of the two of them. Even down to a certain fruit.
As always with this series, I didn’t see the twists and turns.
I finished this book in a day as I always do with Davenport books.
I highly recommend reading this book- but start with Bound by Blood and the next 8 books or you'll end up being a bit like one of the main characters in this book.

This was a very intriguing & action-y story! Isla & Arric have an ... interesting first meeting. LOL And there's a lot going on that was super neat, but I can't put into a review because I don't want to spoil anything!

I'll just say it did our Cauld Ane justice, the relationship between Isla & Arric is super fun, sweet, HOT, and contains some surprises, and we get to see a good amount of the family to catch up! This is one of my favorite series to reread over & over, and I'm happy to add this (final, *sob*) edition to that list.

Also, the COVER! Swoon! I've had it as my lock screen on my phone for ages bc it's awesome. ; )

Wow!! I really enjoy this author, and this is by far her best series. I was thrilled to see there would be a new installment, and it so exceeded my expectations! Isla and Arric are just perfection together. Their romance is electric, and I enjoyed every minute.

The plot was fascinating, and I loved learning more about oracles. The author has really created such a fascinating world and concept here, and I so enjoy seeing more of it. This also included an element that I loved from Peyton and Brodie's story of one mate turning 25 before the other - although on a much shorter scale. We also saw just enough of the other characters to bring in some nice nostalgia. There was some action towards the end to really make things fun and intense. My only small complaint is that if this is the last of the series (wahh) I would have loved an epilogue really showing more of everyone. But I'm greedy like that, and I did love how this ended.

Overall a fantastic story and a great addition to a fabulous series!

*I received an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

OMG....I forgot how much I loved Piper’s Cauld Ane books. This book does not disappoint and sucks you right in. This is about Pepper and Connall’s youngest daughter, Isla and Arric. This book brings you right back in the Cauld Ane world like you a visiting old friends. This book has it all, romance, twists and suspense. I highly recommend this book. You can read it as a stand-alone but it’s better if you’ve read the rest of them. Could we pretty please get more????

Isla is a princess. She has the best family anyone could ask for. She is at her twenty-fifth birthday and feels all the sparks but has no idea what’s coming for her. Arric is a nomad wanting to find his place in the world. Fate had a pull on him when he decides to take an adventure. This is a wild ride but worth the trip.

Wow. I have enjoyed this whole series. I got sucked in, and didn't want to leave. To see the new generation interact with the old was great. I couldn't put this down.

Time

Every one in this story is time. Oh my. They have have so much history in their minds of who they are. They are their own past, present and future. A really amazing story. One man comes back to Scotland. Yet he is from Iceland. Read it and find out. Happy reading.

Story wise, it's a excellent story. It's good to see Piper Davenport developing herself. But the writing style is still off for me. It's too much speak based. I want to learn how characters think. Descriptions are so little for my liking. I can't imagine anything when there is little description.

Great Story

This genre is not usually my thing. I did really like this story though. The characters are great and the mating is pretty intriguing.

Scotland my favorite place

Isla and Arric find a new love that will last forever. A very different kind of tale than I'm used to, but one I love.

(This story takes place roughly 40 years after Samantha and Kade's story!)

This addition to the series is about Connall and Pepper's third child, daughter Isla. She's only a few days away from her 25th birthday, so everyone's showing up to celebrate. Though, none of them expect what her birthday brings with it, Arric Mann.
Arric is a loner, a man who's spent his life seems to always be on the short train. This means he never committs to anything more than once, be it people, places or things. The only thing he knows is something has drawn him to Scotland. He's convinced himself it's to compete in the Games his saw a flyer for but, is that really why?

What an amazing story. I loved that the author chose to jump ahead to the next generation. I really enjoyed getting to see where the majority of the previous characters have ended up and how their families have developed. I especially liked reading about the Cauld Ane version of the Games that was put on at the beginning of the story. The MCs, Arric and Isla, are very interesting characters. They have each brought a very new element to the series. The Oracle, Haddi, visits and it brings even more entertainment to the story.

I was super glad to see that Erik and Alice finally got a visit from Karma and all I'm gonna say is that she was not happy with them. Though, I was super happy that she gve them what they deserved.

I hope the author plans to continue the series. I would love to see what happens when other kids meets their matches and how their parents react to it.

I believe an ending to a series should have three things. There should be no loose ends. The resolution to the series should leave satisfied and not yelling in frustration (trust me it happens). I should be left with the hope that in the future the author will come back to the series and give me more. Piper Davenport exceeded my expectations. I got all of this and more.

I was completely blown away. I had no idea where the ending would take me. The shock of the plot line left me speechless. I can't remember such a corkscrew plot twist in my past readings. Where in the world did the author come up with this stuff? MIND BLOWN!!!!!

Throughout the series the author has given the reader wonderful happily ever afters. The family dynamics have continued to grow with each book. I can't believe I have been jealous of book characters. I want be part of that family.

I look forward to binge reading the Cauld Ane series again and again. I know that I can start at the beginning of the series. I can read every book and get lots of satisfaction. When I reach the final book Bound by Fate, I know that the fates are with the Cauld Ane and my love of a good story.

09/17/22 Sometimes you read a book and when you close it you still can't stop thinking about it. Bound by Fate is one of those books.

May I just say “WOW!”? This has been one of my favorite series since I opened the first book, Bound by Blood. I love paranormal and fantasy themes that go right along with the Cauld Ane. Piper Davenport is truly one of my favorite authors.

Bound by Fate was wonderful! It has angst, romance, humor (very important to me) and action! This story is about Isla and Arric who rub each other wrong when they first meet. Arric is shrouded in mystery that has you wondering what’s going on. He arrives in Scotland to participate in a competition and we quickly learn that he’s Cauld Ane but has no knowledge of this. He becomes frustrated and angry. Isla knows he’s her mate and becomes frustrated and angry as well since he’s overwhelmed with all that’s changing in his life. This story just sucked me in from there!!

The twists and turns had me turning the pages anxious to see what’s going to happen next. I kept thinking that there was no way that this series would be “finished” with this book... but I have to say that Ms Davenport did an amazing job putting an end to this series that you will never see coming! There is certainly room for more books with the second generation but they would be a bonus.

I can’t wait to see what she writes next! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and my review is my own opinion.

A beautifully written story filled with heart and soul and deep within traditions. We loved the magical tale as we were reading we felt the magic of this clan and the love within it.

Isla and Arric were characters so easy to love. Isla was full of sass and was independent and has no problem saying what's on her mind.

Arric the big tatted man made us laugh. Even with all his confusion about what was happening to him in a strange land he coped pretty well even if he kept putting his foot in his mouth more times than not and those times just made us laugh and there was quite a few of them.

Overall we just loved the story from cover to cover and everything in between. The characters were awesome and all so love-able to. We loved the mystery that surrounded the story and how it was heaped with traditions along with the magic of a clan that stays hidden from the world. We loved the sizzle and chemistry between Isla and Arric they were truly made for one another even if they were pig headed at times but, the flame always burned bright between them, they just needed to embrace it.

I have to say that this is the first book in this series that I have read in this series, and now I am hooked, and I have to go back and read the entire series to get caught up to speed. And we are looking forward to it.

Piper thoughtfully writes each book in this series in a “steamy version” and this the sweet version the kind you’d give to your grandmother, or if you yourself love the books but not the sex. I’ve read both, and Piper expertly still conveys this amazing story even without the steamy scenes.

This series has always been one of my favourite books series ever. I've read all the previous 9 books twice, every time I'm notice something new. There are so many different layers that you understand something more.

The Cauld Ane continues with the next generation. Isla and Arric's story is everything I was hoping for in a return to this wonderful world. With Isla's coming of age nearing and the Gunnach Games right around the corner, all the familiar faces are here. That's not to say that the next gen doesn't hold their own, they very much remind me of their parents and all of their shenanigans. I love the complexities that Arric and Isla's gifts bring out in the other and the learning curve they figure out along the way. This story though, layers upon layers. Just when we think we're in for smooth sailing, after a few hiccups of course, we get the rug pulled out from under us. Adversaries of old, betrayal of the worst kind, bonds so deep they can't be swayed, all make for a fitting conclusion to the series. I'm sad to see it end, but know their world is only as far away as opening the books once again.

I absolutely freaking loved this latest book and the last book in the Cauld Ane series!!! Isla is getting ready to celebrate her 25th birthday and when she will discover her mate. She didn't expect Arric Mann to be the one she is fated to be with. Arric hasn't had an easy life and when he discovers things about himself that he never knew existed within him...including the fact that he now has a mate it throws him for a loop. It was a rough start for the two of them in the beginning but the more time they spend together, the better they understand each other and love grows. This story delivers the heat, suspense, action, and I loved every minute of it. I was hooked from beginning to end and I highly recommend this book to all. Another phenomenal story by this talented author, well done!!!

Wow...I love this series it’s one of my favourites. When I first found these books I read them all In a week! I literally devoured them and then I added the Audible’s to them. Wow. Now we get Isla and Arric the next generation and that is a bonus I can tell you. I’m really hoping we can convince Ms Davenport to keep writing in this series as I feel there is more to say lol. Hint hint please? I loved catching up to all our beloved characters but more than that I loved this love story. Some very interesting twists and turns to keep you entertained. Well written and I highly recommend this book and series.
