Spicy, Fun Holiday Story
This was a fun, entertaining holiday story about a rodeo cowboy & his sisters best friend. Lyla has loved a Jesse since she was a young girl, he was her dream rodeo cowboy. When Amelia(Jesse’s sister)sets up a holiday to remember in their home town, everything changes. Both Lyla & Jesse have had a rough yr, could this week really help them find happiness? And why has Amelia booked them in the same suite and announced to everyone that Lyla & Jesse are dating? Hang on for a wild, spicy, steamy rodeo cowboy ride of a lifetime!

Lyla and Jesse's story is she has always loved her best friends, Emilia, older brother and at this years Christmas get together these two share a suite and a lot more as they overcome her mama death and his cheating ex who happens to show up there too. Emilio ended up getting engaged to her boyfriend, Ross. And tell all three she pregnant too. A feel good sweet book.

Fantastic!
What a great story. Lyla, Jesse, and Emilia have all grown up together. Lyla has been hiding away since her mother passed away. Jesse has been hiding since his breakup with his ex. But Emilia wants to see her brother and best friend together so has special plans for Christmas. I really enjoyed this book.

Well, it’s the week before Christmas, and three best friends, who are more like family, are meeting at, Fox Lodge. Emilia and Jesse Knight along with his sister, Lyla would spend the holidays there. She is Emilia’s best friend, and Jesse’s childhood nanny’s daughter. Even though he was her childhood crush and known to sneak into some heated fantasies. For Jesse, Lyla will forever only be, Lil Lyla his baby sister’s friend. As demonstrated on her arrival at the lodge by his greeting.
While talking they realize, Emilia had tricked them both, to come for different reasons. Making them forget, how much they now dislike, Christmas over the past year. Neither appears to look convinced. They hadn’t seen each other in a while. Jesse didn't make it, to her mama’s services due, to Christmas Cowboy Autograph Event. Not to mention that is when the unfortunate, sex video of his fiancé and his ex-best friend was leaked online.
It's hard for her, to see him so grumpy, and subdued. He is always the one first in line, to make, Christmas cookies, craft, and string popcorn, to trim the tree. He is also the last, to go, to bed for fear of missing out on more, Christmas fun. Then the two, stop, to try and figure out, why his sister is, throwing them together. Then, his sister rolls up saying, everyone is checked in. She points, and the two are, under the mistletoe. They kiss. Boy, do they kiss?
It does dawn on them, however, that she said there will be, a fourth guest. Also, their aloft parents will not, be attending. Not to mention, Lyla is freaking out, that her childhood crush, just kissed her. When the dream-worthy buzz follows their kiss, is abruptly pulled by, a screeching voice. Both Jesse and Lyla turn, to see, Delphine. She is, Jesse's ex-fiance. The sex tape, diva. Lyla can see, why he wanted, to be with her. She’s supermodel material.
It's when she starts throwing shade at the possibility of her, and, Jesse even remotely being a couple, that pisses her off. She knows she's not model material, but, she has good qualities. So, he bends down, to kiss, Lyla long, and hard. Right there in the middle of, the lodge. The altercation with, Delphine is, not pretty. She is petty and condescending towards, Lyla. The whole time, Emilia is pushing, Jesse and, Lyla’s relationship. Needless to say, awkward. Then, they meet their fourth, Ross. He is Emilia’s boyfriend for, the last six months. But, they have been, too self-absorbed, to notice.
This is quite funny, all the situations they get, themselves into. As well as, emotional because, Lyla is dealing still with the loss of, her mom.

They were friends, almost siblings-like, and now they pretend to date for Jesse's younger sister's fiancé. The plot is incomplete. You have an introduction of his ex-fiancée, a sex tape back story, and... nothing happened with it! You have the new fiancé, Ross, who has no back story. You have a woman who is mourning her mother but in the bed of the first male there to pretend they don't date. It lacks substance to be a real romance. The hot scenes are very basic, not graphic at all and the Christmas vibes is almost not there.

Jesse and Lyra agree to fake date for their own reasons, but it quickly becomes more for Jesse, and I loved how he tried to encourage Lyla to be more than fake.
They have a shared history, Lyra's mother was his nanny, and they gre w up together but don't see each other as siblings.
I did feel sorry for Emelia. She invested so much time and energy on her best friend and brother, but neither even knew she was even dating someone. I do feel that Ross should have made more of an appearance in the story. He was almost forgotten, and he shouldn't have been.

Short but incredibly sweet💝
Lyla and Jesse hate Christmas. They both get roped into going to the Whiskey River Lodge with Emilia, Jesse's sister and Lyla best friend. It isn't until they run into Jesse's horrible
ex, that Emilia tells her that Jesse and Lyla are a couple. Forced to share a room together, things start heating up. I will not spoil it, just read it for yourself. Its not a long story but it is so dang sweet!!!

This is an entertaining Christmas read. Jesse, Emilia and Lyla have grown up together and this Christmas sees lots of changes in their lives. Emilia has a new love, Jesse is getting over a cheating fiancé and Lyla is mourning her mother. Their Christmas holiday is full of fun activities, steamy moments and of course the Quylt sisters are there adding to the mischief. The story has lots of laugh out loud moments as these two couples enjoy the magic of Christmas.

The Author has written a wonderful book about love, friendship, and Christmas! The story line might have you guessing about this book but it is wrapped around all the characters and a special place and time of year. It's filled with things that will have you laughing and crying. It's not a long read but I think you will enjoy it. If you're into romance you should enjoy this book.

So many plot holes and even more typos.
There were several random storylines that never finished:
- FMC grieving the loss of her mother… only acknowledged a few times
- the leaking of a sex tape… the ex only made an appearance in two chapters and not for very long.
- MMC’s sister showing up with a boyfriend that no one knew about
Should I go on?
I wanted to like this story. I did. But the whole thing felt so rushed and didn’t have any depth.

A great story about off limits best friends brother. Lyla lost her mom on Christmas and doesn’t enjoy it. Well Emilia isn’t having any of that and invites Lyla she her brother Jesse to the Fox Lodge to celebrate good times and memories. Lyla has always had a crush on Jesse but he’s always seen her as a “sister” what is going to happen when he finds out about Lylas crush?

When he runs into an Ex and it gets uncomfortable his sister initiates a lie that Jesse and Lyla are in a relationship. What could it hurt to play the part? I really enjoyed Jesse and Lylas story. This is a sweet, magical holiday romance with some steam!

A cute quick read
This was a cute quick read, however there are a bit of grammar errors. And the moment they admit their feelings to one another was ruint and while it’s a cute story and a fast read that ending was a big let down even for a novella but it’s still a cute little book.

2.5 stars....it was ok. But I did notice typos and some sentences that just didn't make sense. it was distracting
These two mc's seemed immature IMO and in my head I imagined they were teens and a she was kind of annoying in some parts. I did enjoy Emilia and Ross though.
I almost didn't finished it but it was a shorter book so I stuck with it.

The author should get a better editor. The typos are on every page. The story is great, the characters are lovable, the setting is perfect. The other book in this series is well written.This one not so much.

This book has 2 love stories going on Lyla & Jesse and Emilia & Ross. His sister announced her pregnancy and got proposed to in the book, not really side characters.
And it said curvy romance, I don’t remember any mention of any curvy heroine.
