Samantha Chase is a New York Times and USA Today bestseller of contemporary romance that’s hotter than sweet, sweeter than hot. She released her debut novel in 2011 and currently has more than seventy titles under her belt – including THE CHRISTMAS COTTAGE which was a Hallmark Christmas movie in 2017! She’s a Disney enthusiast who still happily listens to 80’s rock. When she’s not working on a new story, she spends her time reading romances, playing way too many games of Solitaire on Facebook, wearing a tiara while playing with her sassy pug Maylene…oh, and spending time with her husband of 30 years and their two sons in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
Ryder Montgomery is a cousin to the first three men in this series and William the matchmaker’s nephew.
Ryder needs to put the past aside when he's asked to help with a family wedding and it means working with Casey Peterson, his former love. Will he let her slip away a second time? Will he embrace his second chance?
Will they reconcile and love again?
Another fantastic must read book in a series that has it all – romance, secrets, twists and turns.
This contemporary romance series is absolutely inspiring and magical. With great writing, loveable characters and continuous carryover of these characters from one book to the next its a fabulous choice this summer! If you are wondering if there will be a happily ever after then you MUST download this book now and find out.
I received this book from the author for a fair and honest review.
We meet a cousin to the original three brothers and see a second chance romance and it was sweet to see two individuals coming back together. SC is so talented and an artist at creating vivid worlds, characters and situations. I love that this story takes place in NC and in Wilmington which is a city that holds my heart. I look forward to seeing who else William sets his eyes on and how their stories go!
The edition I read was from Kindle and It is listed as Book 4 so it was a bit confusing as far as finding it on Goodreads because I naturally when to Book 4 on here and it was the next one after this one. These stories are stand alones and don't need to be read in order but the stories will make more sense.
In this story we are introduced to Ryder Montgomery who heads up the Montgomery's on the West Coast. He is currently in the Outerbanks of NC because he needed time away from his work. Like all of the Montgomery's thus far he is a workaholic who needed a break and was hoping to run into the woman who stole his heart but he broke hers.
Casey is planning Mac Montgomery's wedding to Gina and the have had emergencies come up and have enlisted the help of William, Mac's dad to help Casey with some of the wedding details such as choosing a venue as the happy couple likes two and can't decide which one is best. Enter William and his match making skills!
Ryder is enlisted to help because he lives in the town as Casey and William is three hours away and very busy running Montgomery's.
Ryder and Casey work together to decide on a venue but the more time he spends with her the more he wants her.
This was a fun story with a wedding and 5 crazy aunts who help nudge Casey and Ryder along.
Another fun read with a very sexy Montgomery. It also sets you for Ryder's brother James and his story.
More of Me by Samantha Chase is just as amazing as story before it. The Montgomery men are the most incredible, sexy, and irresistible men that readers will ever find. Mac Montgomery and his fiancee Gina are planning their wedding. Gina’s mom fell and broke her hip and Gina needs to go help her mom and Mac has a business trip that he needs to attend at the same time. So, they hire Mac’s father to help them. The same man who helped Mac and Gina find love with each other and helped his younger to brothers find their perfect match. But, Mac’s father isn’t finished playing matchmaker yet. The wedding planner turns out to know their cousin Ryder Montgomery. Apparently they dated briefly. And Mac’s father didn’t hesitate in getting Casey, the wedding planner, and Ryder Montgomery into working with each other. Ryder stops by Casey’s house wher he finds out that he as been hired to help her choose a wedding location for his cousin Mac’s wedding. Ryder enjoys the chance to work with Casey as he want s her back in his life. But Casey doesn’t want Ryder back in her life. Can Ryder convince Casey to let him back into her life or will he lose the woman of his dreams forever?
A hot and unpredictable romance that will heat up readers in way that sends them back reading more. Samantha Chase has a talent for writing the most incredible stories that heart warming and realistically believable. Readers will have no trouble falling for each one of the characters as well as for the story. The plot takes readers deep into each characters heart and on a journey where they discover the truth and what they really want in life. Each one of the Montgomery men have had to search deeply into their minds and heart asking themselves what they really need in life.
I received this copy from the publisher. This is my voluntary review.
This novella started out very promising, points of view were clearly laid out and changes between same occurred during scene breaks. And then the bouncing around in the middle of scenes started, sometimes between as many as three people. For some reason it annoyed me more in this book than the author's other early books; perhaps because I was fooled into thinking this would not be the case this time.
As for the rest of it, Casey seemed to vacillate between knowing that Ryder's leaving was for the best since they were so young, and holding onto her pain and fear that he'd pull a repeat. We're also told that Ryder had "many other ex's", but never given any indication of Casey's love life in the intervening years. Having female characters pining away for over a decade, living chastely, is not only unrealistic but also slightly misogynistic.
I'll continue with the series in spite of the above, because James's story intrigues me. I haven't hit my limit with this author yet.
Sweet, nice novella. Fade to black, light making out intimate scenes. This one features Casey and Ryder, who used to date before years ago, but things didn't end well; Casey is still frosty about how it ended. Now, Casey is the wedding planner for Mac and Gina's (from the 3rd book) wedding, and Ryder is Mac's cousin and is asked to help Casey since Mac and Gina have an emergency. It's a fun premise, but once again, I didn't care for the heroine. She leads Ryder to think that she is married and has a baby; not out right lying, but close enough for me to think poorly of her. Plus, what really ticked me off, was when she was so rude to Ryder when the truth comes out; she berates him like it's his fault for thinking what he thought. Ryder was a sweetie. I liked the wedding aspect, the second chance aspect, and there are some sweet moments. Overall, an okay read.
time to plan Mac and Gina's wedding and they have hired Casey to handle details. Only life has gotten in the way and Gina had to go take care of her mom and Mac his to leave the country in business. That leaves William to help with face to face details, until he finds out that they chose to marry in a town near where his nephew is living and also that Casey used to date him. Ding, ding, ding… once again the elder Montgomery is up to his old tricks. Only Ryder Montgomery was already planning to reach out to Casey. This story is short and full of miscommunication. No real dream like in the other three books but a sweet second chance romance. I enjoyed it even though it's still very much PG-13.
Another great Montgomery family book. Ryder and Casey were in love 12 years ago, but Ryder walked away to pursue his mark in the Montgomery business. But when Casey is the wedding planner for Mac and Gina's wedding, the two reunite. The love and attraction are still there but will they be able to make it work living on opposite coastlines. This was a beautiful story about getting a second chance at love. With a heartwarming storyline and typically wonderful Samantha Chase style characters it is another great installment of the series.
This latest installment of The Montgomery Brothers series involves the romance of a cousin, Ryder Montgomery as all three brothers are now married. Twelve years ago, at age 18, Ryder left his love, Casey, to go off to seek his fame and fortune. Now, at the age of 30, he realizes his mistake. Can he find her and make it right? This is a great family. You’ll love the Montgomery’s!!
Another fun installment of the Montgomery family; this one with a second-chance romance. With the three sons now paired off, we are introduced to more of the family. Now William can put on his matchmaking hat to find mates for his nephews and niece. :)
Twelve years is a long time to carry a torch for someone. Yet, we seem to have two people doing just that! Can she get over her feelings of abandonment, to let him back into her life. Perhaps some adopted step aunts can help!
I absolutely adored this book! The characters of Ryder and Casey are perfect. Towards the end of the book, it seemed more rushed than the previous in the series, but I loved that! It was so fun with Casey being a wedding planning and it tied in so well to the series.
I really enjoyed the first three books in this series. This novella was an added bonus. So glad the Montgomery family is so large, as I look forward to reading more.
A successful career woman and the man who moves for her. A little more background on why our hero was on sabbatical, but it is a novella so space is limited.

REVIEW: 3.5 stars--MORE OF ME is the fourth installment and novella in Samantha Chase’s adult, contemporary The Montgomery Brothers romance series. MORE OF ME introduces the Montgomery cousins and can be found as a bonus story in STAY WITH ME. This is Ryder Montgomery, and wedding planner Casey Peterson’s story. MORE OF ME can be read as a stand alone story without any difficulty.
Told from third person perspective MORE OF ME finds William Montgomery, once again, playing matchmaker but this time it is with his nephew Ryder Montgomery. As Mac and Gina (Stay With Me #3) prepare for their upcoming nuptials, Gina is suddenly called back home on a family emergency. Enter William Montgomery who suggests Ryder check out the wedding venues with Casey Peterson. The twist-Casey is Ryder’s ex girlfriend and they haven’t spoken to one another in a dozen years.
MORE OF ME is a second chance storyline for two people who have never stopped loving one another. Twelve years earlier Ryder left North Carolina for the West Coast where he eventually began work with the Montgomery West Coast offices leaving a heartbroken Casey to pick up the pieces of a destroyed relationship. Fast forward twelve years, where Casey finds herself working with Ryder Montgomery on his cousin’s upcoming wedding-and all of the old feelings and emotions come rushing to the surface.
There is very little angst or anxiety with the reconciliation. Casey and Ryder are now adults who know what it is to love and loss. Ryder has never stopped loving Casey and in this, he continues to apologize for his behavior, years before. The $ex scenes are all implied and fade to black. There is definitely a happily ever after for this couple.
MORE OF ME is a fun and quick read; a romantic story of reconciliation and second chances from the pen of Samantha Chase.
More Of Me (Montgomery Brothers Book 3.5) by Samantha Chase
As Mac and Gina (Stay With Me book 3) prepare for their upcoming nuptials and hire Casey Peterson as their wedding planner. When Gina is called back home on a family emergency William Montgomery suggests Ryder Montgomery step in help Gina and Mac out by check out the wedding venues with Casey Peterson.
Casey and Ryder used to date. They definitely have history. They haven’t spoken or seen one another in years.
Years ago Ryder left North Carolina and Casey to make a name for himself without everything that being a Montgomery held. Casey was left heartbroken and had to find a way to move forward with out Ryder. When Casey discovers she will be working with Ryder Montgomery on Mac and Gina's wedding feelings and emotions come rushing to the surface.
Ryder has never stopped loving Casey. Casey and Ryder have some past things that need to be worked out. Ryder knows he hurt Casey and more importantly he needs to find the part of him he left behind years ago. Casey has pain she never truly dealt with and seeing Ryder brings it all back. She has to forgive and let go. When Ryder and Casey come together it doesn't take long for things to heat up.
MORE OF ME is a great novella. I love second chance romances and More Of Me is definitely a great second chance read. Samantha Chase really wrote a great story. This is a story of love lost and heartache and forgiveness and possibly loving again. The struggles that Ryder and Casey experience are realistic and easy for the reader to relate with. You can't help but fall in love with the Montgomery family. I highly recommend this read.
I highly recommend this book and both stories. This is a great book and of course written by the truly talented and obviously gifted Samantha Chase. I give this a five star and two thumbs up.
Oh, you thought William would be done when his sons were married off? Oh, heck to the no -- he has nephews, after all.
Mac and Gina are getting married, and plan on getting married on the coast. While Mac has to go out of town for business, Gina is going to be working with Casey, a wedding planner. When William learns that the wedding is going to be on the east coast, and he recalls his nephew Ryder is there, he comes up with the brilliant plan to get Casey and Ryder (back) together and figures he can just have them working together.
Casey and Ryder have some past things that need to be worked out for sure in this story. Ryder left her behind when he decided to leave home and make a name for himself outside of the Montgomery empire. When he left, though, he knew he was leaving behind a part of himself that he'd regret.
Watching these two thrown back together was fun -- even though I was equally thrilled that it was almost a sequel to Mac and Gina's story, being their wedding and all. They had a lot to work through, including distance as she was on the west coast and he the east. There were past hurts and mistakes that needed mending, but all in all, they were cute!
This sweet reunited lovers romance is the story of Casey and Ryder who had broken up after high school but are reunited when Casey's job as a wedding planner means she's involved with Ryan's cousin Mac's wedding. As it turns out, Ryder is there to help her with choosing the venue and though their initial teenage parting left her heartbroken, it's obvious that there are still sparks between them. I liked how this story unfolded (and I get a kick out of Ryder's uncle William and his continued matchmaking attempts which are the backbone to this series) and there was good chemistry between Casey and Ryder. It was nice to see that Casey didn't hold a grudge against Ryder for long and realized that his efforts at making things up to her for what happened as teenagers were sincere. They were both friendly, likeable characters and it was a quick and enjoyable read. 3.5 stars.
Note: a copy of this story was provided by the publisher via NetGalley for review.
Great second chance romance story! Casey & Ryder were a couple in high school until he left her behind for college, totally breaking her heart. Now, his cousin Mac and her best friend Gina are getting married. Casey is the wedding planner & Ryder is taking time off work and is able to help out since Gina & Mac are swamped with work and unable to attend to all of the details. Circumstance (or Mac & Gina) are forcing them together. Will they find romance this time?
I loved these two characters & the premise of the novella. We were given enough backstory so that we knew what was going on and the plot had enough twists to keep us interested. My only complaint was that it was too short!
More Of Me was a wonderful short addition to the series involving the Montgomery brothers. We got to see the preparations and wedding of Mac Montgomery to Gina Micelli. We were able to see the Montgomery brothers again but also were introduced to their cousin Ryder.
The story of Ryder & Casey was one of re connections, learning to forgive and new beginnings. I absolutely loved all the surprises at the end of the story.
It is sad to see the stories of the Montgomery brothers come to an end but it is also exciting as we get to meet more of the Montgomery cousins and watch as Matchmaker William works his "magic" in the continuing of this series
